We have booked a room on march 29, 2003 cruise for spring break. It will be me, DH, DS(6) and DS(11 months) We are looking to hear from people that have travelled with a young child like ours. Would it have been nice to have the verandah so that once the kids go to bed we have a place to sit and talk and order room service?? We are worried that with the frest air that our kids will go to bed early and then we will either have to go to bed too or sit in a dark room?? Any ideas, thoughts from others who have travelled with young infants and what worked well for them would really help us out.
thanks in advance

my son isn't quite as young as your kids, but he conks out early after a busy day and a big dinner. We spend LOTS of time on our verandah, and frankly I wouldn't want to go on a cruise without one because I am so spoiled.
I would go for the CAT 6 if you can swing it. Enjoy!!!

When I first started looking into cruising DCL (in Dec.) I thought I would choose cat. 11. My thinking was why spend money on the room when I could be out enjoying the ship. The more I read on these boards though I started thinking about the fact that my kids might need to rest and that I wouldn't want to be "stuck" in the dark waiting to go back out and enjoy. I booked a cat. 6 just yesterday (for 3/04, it is a ways off) for our first cruise. Our kids will be 4 and 7 then so naps might still be in the picture even. They also will sleep in a little later than us so we could enjoy room service out on the ver., lots of options. I like it that I will be truely enjoying myself no matter what my kids want to do. I won't be tapping my foot waiting for them to finish their movie or finish their nap so I can feel like I'm on vacation. I can just crack open my book and chill:smooth:
