Sorry to cut out last night. I had an allergic reaction (or so we think) to the meds I'm on. Am home from work today. What'd I miss?

Where in NJ are you?
Did your tests come up with anything?

I'm doing better than last nite and this morning. The tests showed that my white blood cell count is 17000 which is high and means there's an infection. They are not sure where it is though. I'm supposed to have more blood work on Monday. Ugh.
I'm in Monmouth County, Lois. You?

Warren County - oh I hope they find what your problem is soon. (We live out near the "Gap", just a little south and east of there).
So you have to wait till Monday for more blood work....do they have any idea?

I'm back from seeing the doc for the fourth time in the past week and a half (not counting the ER). I had an allergic reaction from one of the meds. It caused gastritis. We also have discovered that I have costochondritis which is chest pain caused by inflammation in the ribs. While there, they saw that the hospital never sent over the results from one of the tests. That should be done soon. It takes five days to get a blood culture result. They also did a full check up again plus an EKG and tested for costochondritis. They then decided to do more blood work to check if my white blood cell count has improved. I'm becoming a pro. LOL. I have new meds and feel much better knowing my heart is fine and the reason for the chest pain.

I know what you mean about feeling better by knowing what it's not. I had chest pains a few years ago and I was so glad it was not my heart. That info alone made me feel better. :thumbsup2

Get well soon, Nikki. BC results are painful to wait for on both ends (physician and patient), but generally more so for the patient! Hard to be patient... (*groan*)
