What's the "D" stand for?

Okay. I'm not proud. What does the "D" stand for in DH, DW, DD4, etc. ?

Darling or Dear

DD=Darling Daughter
DS=Darling Son
DW=Darling Wife
DH=Darling Husband
MIL=Mother in law etc....

Well...for me personally...the D stands for a couple of things, depending on whether I am aggrevated with the said person at that moment in time...:p
