we have two one very small in the front and a meduim sz one with a stone waterfall in the side yard next to the driveway.(150 gallons)
I want a big one at least 1500-2000 gallons!
We are having a terrible raccon problem the last few years.Just when my fish get large 6 inches plus a raccoon(s) eats them.
we have tried netting but I hate how it looks and it strangles my plants.
Any suggestions?
Anyone else have a watergarden what is yours like.

I really want one, it's on my wish list. I want one with a waterfall and a small river so I can have a bridge.

No water garden here either, just an overflowing pot/jug with pump, approx. 15 - 20 gallons. A real water garden would be wonderful, but our yard is too small. Next house!!! :)
......bridges are very cool Amid! :D

I have 3 little ponds that I have done... No fish yet as I am still landscaping the yard... But I do love the sound of the water...
I have a 60 gallon pond(I think thats the size) in front of my house..had goldfish on it...but they died over the winter..I would love to have a 1500+ pond, but I would be afraid of little ones falling in it...:(
Maleficent I have about an 900 gallon water garden. Have not had problems with racoons as far as the water garden goes, have had problems with A Great Blue Heron.
I have created lots of hiding places at the deepest part of the pond using brick since the heron problem.
There is a web site that may be able to help. Or you could put one of those invisible fences around the pond I think this would work.

well I cleaned out the pond!Emptied it completely remove all the old pots that used to be waterlilies and the racoon turned over so they had died.Removed the one and only surviving fish.
refilled it and replaced the iris and other water(bog)plants.Let it sit for 24 hours.Went to "the Water Garden" water garden store here in Chattanooga and bought new fish $50 worth. Placed them in the pond and covered it again with the mesh.Oh and put back the only surviving fish.
Quess who paid us a visit again last night! knocked in some of the rocks holding down the mesh but I do not think it got any fish.
Man I hate racoons! And we live in the City!
Thanks for the website I will check them out.
Shep as far as a 1500 pond goes they are not very deep at the edges but do get deeper towards the middle. They are more for KOI.Which I love and would love to have alot of esp the butterfly ones.
