2#.) I will never be tagged by the tag fairy. :sad2:

1. Get a AAA card. It allows you to DIY your own PIN.
2. Can't help with your lack of tags. I'm willing to provide delicious pity party treats...they follow here: popcorn:::cake::drinking1 Who knows? maybe the conversation on this thread will turn so profound you'll end up with tags! :)

How does that work? I had a AAA card for years but after never using it once, cancelled last year. Does AAA send out PIN codes??

You don't get a PIN, but you do get a certain amount off. Our Nov/Dec trip is around 20% off. Better than nothing! And as always, if a better deal comes out, you could apply that instead :thumbsup2

Awe, it's so nice to know that I am not alone !!

I think what really hurt my little feelings was after I helped a friend and her family plan their 1st trip to the World last year, after they got back, BOTH families got PIN codes!!

She called to ask me what it was!! I tried to act like I get them all of the time but inside I was about to cry :sad2:.

Maybe we should start our own club?? The "How many times can you go to Disneyworld and NEVER get a special offer" club!!

6 trips in a year and no pin offer. . .its okay though, I have an ap, I book ap rates or AAA rates or sometimes the special "public" offers. It would be nice if Disney rewarded frequent flyers. . .

Try ordering the trip planning CD. Both times that we have ordered it we have received pin codes in the mail. This year was for free dining that we were able to extend to Christmas time. We are going 12/12 - 12/18, saves us $1,120.

Also or the custom maps, cant hurt.

Hope you get one soon!

I've ordered the planning DVD and the custom maps and still no pin code for me either. I used the AAA code twice and the general code 4/3 once. I don't think I will get another chance to go but if I ever do it will have to be with a good code, either the pin that I have never received :lmao: or really nice general public code. But I can't complain, at least I have been there a few times. There are many people who never get that opportunity.

It's when a Moderator (I think the mods do it?) takes something you have posted and quotes it in colored writing under your screen name over on the left. I gave up and wrote my own.

I have ordered at least 10 of those planning DVD's (vhs in the old days) to give out to the folks twhen I plan their trips for them but still no offers, PIN codes or anything else for that matter.

Perhaps owning a Disney Visa boosts your odds but I do NOT own credit cards and won't so I suppose that rules me out.

I hear ya! 11 trips to DW, 4 Disney cruises, countless planning VIDEOS AND CDs, updating my registration on a few different email addresses, registering under new email addresses, receiving email from EVERY SINGLE Disney place you can think of (Family Fun, Movies, etc.) and NOTHING! I buy APs and then see someone get a pin for 40% off. It is frustrating.

Oh, and I have the Disney Visa, so that is no help.

And folks like us can just forget EVER snagging any kind of Year of a Millions Dreams goodies. ;) I dare not go there.

And those Mickey ears people were winning like hotcakes at a church breakfast? ... sometimes more than one pair? Many postcards later, no Mickey ears for us.

We go for 11 or 12 nights, every June, and have never received a pin or a bounceback offer.

Maybe it's because Disney knows they don't need to give us one, we'll go anyway!

My DH and youngest DD go 3-5 times a year; never have once rcvd a pin code.

Back in '07, we paid for another DD and her new DH to spend a few days @ WDW with us (surprised them w/ thier own room when they expected to have to share w/ us!!).

Since then, they have not returned to WDW, but have rcvd pin codes 2 or 3 times!

Maybe it's an incentive to get people back.

Perhaps Disney doesn't feel the need to send codes to those of us who return time after time w/out a code?!

Just a thought, but then, who knows??

We got our first code after booking a trip and then having to cancel it when I thought I might lose my job. I didn't rebook because we found a great deal through a TA. Then *poof* my DH gets a code in his email. It wasn't better than the deal we already had, but it was my first code.

I got my tags by hanging out on the Community Board. There is a whole thread dedicated to those who are Tagless over there.

I've never gotten a PIN code. I have a Disney Visa, AP, I'm a FL resident...maybe they figure they don't need a PIN to entice me since we go all the time. Sigh. If I could get the 40% off, I'd book for December in a heartbeat. Darn it all.

that's how we felt too...we have the visa, live and FL and are passholders...then last week we got 3 seperate codes....our Dec trip is already paid for in full, so we are trying to decide if we can fit in another trip before then...even if it's a short one:rolleyes1

If you go to WDW and stay on site every year or even more often, it is obvious that Disney doesn't need to entice you back.

We did Free Dining in 2005 and 2006. Last April/May we stayed off site. This Jan we got a 40% code. I think if you disappear once in a while Disney will work to get you back.

Two things that will never happen to me !!

1.Pin code from Disney, done everything to get one and whatever. Did get 7 nights through Christmas during the LMT world for a $1 promotion, so I shouldn't complain about that,it's like getting 80% off.

2. Cheap airfare from Southwest !! My Oct. trip is showing $180 one way and $112 the other. I check everyday multiple times, have dinged for years, check every sale, willing to book weekdays to make cheaper and on and on. I don't get it, I have always found Delta cheaper but with baggage fees it is so much cheaper to drive.

I am done ranting now !!

No Ap 40% discount for us, since there will be 7 flying will be so expensive we need a room only Fri. night and I am sure I will get somthing but ya know I thinking of checking in about 1 am and sleeping in the kids lounge till they let us check in the next morning.Do ya think that will snub there pin code.:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Let me try to put you a little at ease - somtimes the best deals are the deals to the general public.

My DW has been a TA for 2 years now and the past two years that we have gone on a trip we booked a public code. We received a 40% code earlier this year, but the free dining was a better offer so we are doing that.

I know, a 40% code MIGHT be better than free dining if you are staying at deluxe, but the majority of people stay in a value or moderate. So rest easy because sometimes the deal that you DO get is better than the deal you MIGHT get.

You are right free dining is much better for us than 40% off but we are driving and we could arrive anywhere from 1am-4am depending when we get out of here and we will be in 2 seperate vehicles with DH arriving about 9am. I could use that 40% for a room only for just one room so DD and I have somewhere to go till the rest of our party arrives and we can all check in together.

Also the 40% that came out the first of the year had Dec.24, I could have used that to add one more day to the start of our Dec. trip. So, yes GP offers can be as good but I sure needed that 40% before my GP offer starts. My DD and I will be the 2 asleep on the kids furniture @ POP Oct. 3 :rolleyes1

Good grief!!

Ok, so I had emergency surgery on the 4th of July. I'm lying in my hospital bed a few days later when my cell phone rings. It's my good friend Sara, who I helped plan her 1st trip to the World last year.

Sara: "Hi Gina. What's up? Guess what? I got another fantastic special Disney offer and I booked it for September."

Me: "Oh, not much. Lying here in the hospital. That's great."

Seriously, can I not just get one stinking PIN code or "special" offer??????? I likely couldn't even use it but that's sooooo not the point.

Ok, feeling a bit better.

OH WAIT! Guess what the 4th of July was? It was my 90 day ADR date but I obviously couldn't make my ressies from my hospital bed...heck the morphine was making it so I couldn't even remember my name let alone try to recall which days I wanted what restaurants if I had called the dining line on my cell phone, LOL!

I have created a new registration and reordered the trip planning dvd. I have the credit card I even get there newsletter, but no stinkin pin code...

Maybe everyone's right, maybe I go to frequently that Disney doesn't feel I need a pin code to come back, but darn it all I want a pin code... Maybe if I got a pin code for 1 trip I would spend that extra money on an AP and they could get me 3 times a year instead of 2!!!:surfweb:

What are these pins? There is a very special CM that bestows a very coveted pin on a very few special and lucky guests. You literally have to be in the exact place at the exact time to receive one of these pins. Will they fit on my lanyard?Yes, if you write small enough, I have heard they can be very long Could I trade them with other pin collecters? No you can not trade them with other pin collectors and if caught doing so you could give up your right of ever and I mean ever recieving another one I never recieved any kind of pin in the mail! The year of a million dreams is over so quit dreaming :goodvibes

I've been multiple times a year for the past 9 years, we were married there, have taken the cruise and gone on an adventures by disney vacation, i'm signed up on the website, i've ordered a planning dvd every year, and NEVER have I gotten a pin!

We had to book a room for the band who played at our wedding, and we got a pin a few weeks ago addressed to them, sent to my parents house.
When I was 18, I went with a friend of mine, and of course....a pin showed up at the house for her too!!

I feel so ignored :confused3

Just trying to be grateful that at least I get to go to Disney World, even if I don't get the upgrade to the deluxe villas. :sad1:

I have the Disney Visa, ordered the DVDs and custom maps, although not a frequent traveler to WDW (yet, 3 years in a row and counting!) We're now AP holders so we can hope for a good AP discount but it seems AP holders are the last in the bunch to get any deals :confused3

Hey, it's me...the author of this thread.

I think you should all sit down.

Ok, ready?

I FINALLY GOT A PIN CODE TODAY!!

Holy-toledo that only took 12 years!!!

Now, is the tag-fairy even still alive??

Congrats!!!! There's hope for us yet! Now the question is, will you use it?? :rotfl:

I see you are going on a cruise for your 40th - have fun!!!

Now, say something funny/charming/whatever so you can get that tag!!!
(can you get one when you are as "new" as me???) :confused3

I will be able to use it because after my cruise I will be staying in Orlando to play at WDW! I booked the Polynesian today to secure the deal. Might change to Animal Kingdom to save some $$.

omg congrats on finally getting a pin! Hope it's something you can use!

Thanks. I used it today...kind of having buyers remorse tho and may downgrade...even with 40% off that is a LOT of money :scared1: for this single mama!

Here's wishing you all luck in getting a PIN code.

Oh, here is how I got it. I was tinkering around disneyworld.com and pricing out different hotel/ticket packages. I was just looking and exited out.

A few days later I get an email addressing my family by name saying they noticed our interest in the Boardwalk resort (that was one of many resorts that I priced). At the very bottom of the email I spotted the PIN number...almost missed it. It didn't exactly jump off the page.

The funny thing is that I got a PIN number for DisneyLAND last week! I haven't been to DisneyLAND in 5+ years!
