Hi
I apologise if i am posting this in the wrong place but i am interested to find out how UK DVC members have found renting points to non UK residents. I am worried about things like making contact and keeping renter informed with all the phone calls etc. Being new to this i am just looking for some friendly advice.
Many thanks everyone:rotfl:

I rented some points to a guy in South Africa. Everything went reasonably smoothly, albeit he was pretty trusting an email sufficed for all contact (excluding posting confirmations etc). If you were to get a more 'needy' or troublesome renter it might not work out so smoothly. The money was easily transferred via paypal.

I have rented to Americans on here with out any problems, I give them my phone number so they can phone me if they have any problems checking in (never had) however other than that all communication is done by email and payment by paypal.

I have done it several times. All contact was by e-mail though I did give my telephone number and took theirs - and a fax number to fax their confirmation while i sent it by mail.
It all worked very well. The rental money was great until the tax man took his share!

I have rented a few times, its hard work!!!
People mess you around - barter with you over the costs - change their minds etc etc. Be patient and you will find someone who is a complete DREAM to deal with!! The People who I have rented too have been great and we are now friend on the boards and facebook!!!!!
