Hopefully this evening......we can drape the cherry trees with the netting

it isn't that we don't want to share with birds.....but they are probably the reason for the brown rot too.....we called the extension center and they are the reason for it....they bring it in and leave it somehow...so tonight is the netting party......anyone want to come...

I've never been to a netting party, how long do you have to keep the netting on? ;)

the netting keeps those cedar waxwings from devouring the produce...one year they ate probably fifty quarts of cherries....remember we have four trees....they called in their friends(birds) and we must of had thirty of those birds here...it is amazing how much damage they do....The fungicide so far is working ...no brown rot....the extension service from the college said the fungi came from the birds feet and their leftovers :rolleyes: Hope all this works and we can have a neighborhood picking party again.....it was nice. seven homes joined us and ate and picked to their hearts content
