Is free dining offered to DVC members?

If I stay at DVC resort using member points, and purchase park tickets, would I be eligible for the free dining in September?

We currently have a reservation at CBR, but thinking of switching it to a DVC room if we can still get the free dining.

DVC members (and renters of DVC points) are not eligible for free dining. That offer is available only to those who book a full price room/tickets package through Walt Disney Travel (or have a travel agent book through Walt Disney Travel).

Check your math first. It might be possible, depending on how many people in your party and the size of DVC room you want to rent, that the rental points plus paid dining plan (plus possibly purchasing tickets through a discount broker) ends up costing less than full price WDW room plus tickets and free dining.
