Has anyone else had problems with the Disney Club contract ID # on the National web site? When I put the Disney club contract ID # into the Emerald Club reservation page in the "contract ID" space I receive no discount at all. With my regular contract ID # I receive a 10% discount, but am not sure why the Disney Club ID # is not working. I have used it before and have gotten good deals, but not this time. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I just tried it today and had no problems...?????

The discount doesn't always show up as a deduction - but you can tell by the total if the discount has been taken into account.

I just checked the Disney Club website, looks like they have a new contract #. The old one gives 20% off, the new one does not. I tried my December dates and got $204 total with the old contract #, $250 total with the new one. Both are up from the $173 reservation I made last month.

I wonder if I'll have problems in November since I used the "old" DC contract #? Hopefully they won't give me a hassle since I'll have my printed confirmation.

I just used an old contract # recently because the new number was not giving me a discount. I had no problem when I got there.

Can anybody help me get the "old" contract number. Why would one number give a better discount than another if they are both under the Disney Club?

Not to be a nag, but I hope everyone who is asking for the "old code" are currently members of the DC. I was told that I may need to show my DC card when using the coupons.

Sorry, not trying to play police. Just wanted to make sure nobody had any surprises when picking up their car. A National rep told me that they can make you pay the highest prevailing rate if you forget coupons, card, etc., and we all know how high those rates can be.
mazzarafe

dtuleya, you only need your card for the contract id # discount. The coupon is for the 1 day free. That number has not changed, you just need the current coupon which is on the club site. Yes they will ask for you DC card and Emerald Club if you are a member. I make sure to bring my copy of the confirmation with me so they will honor the price, along with the coupon. If not than like you said you are out of luck and pay thru the roof pricing.
Crissup, I'm sending you a pm with the old number. I have typed it so much I know it my heart. Good luck, but the rates a really crappy right now. I'm hoping to get my week rental down from $173. I paid $165 for 9 days last December. That was pre-9/11.

I am indeed a dc member. Speaking of being a member is there a discount on re-signing up to become a dc member again this year?

I was checking rates on the National site, and no discount showed up with the contract ID I was using (I think this would be the "old code". I got my up to date DC info and indeed found a different contract ID # in the spring members update. When I used this #--a 20% discount showed up right away!:)
I think maybe the old # I had is not useable anymore.

I called National reservations and the woman told me that the current DC contract states that the discount is "up to 20%." Even though we may be used to getting the 20% discount the current discount National is giving DC members is 5%. That kind of stinks, but that is the way the current contract reads. I don't know who negotiated this for DC, but when my medium-sized employer has a flat 10% discount all the time, I think DC members aren't getting a good deal. I will have to go back and look for my old DC contract number and try it.

Chance's Mom,
I went to National's site either yesterday or the day before and tried the new # from the newsletter I got over the weekend. I first tried without the code just thru emeral club, then I tried it with the new code. It was the same price!!! I then tried with the code from last year and I got the discount. It of course was more than what I reserved in May because of the price increase. I've tried the new code twice and the only discount I get is the 1 day free rental, not both discounts.
Sherryef, when I renewed in March it was only $30 so I think it may be automatic for renewals.

Could someone pm me the old contract #? I was just checking prices for an October rental and was shocked at the difference in price over what I paid a few weeks ago! I can't seem to find where I wrote the old contract # down, I must have tossed it out.

Could someone please email me the old/new codes for the Disney Club? I have the current code from the DCwebsite and as well as an older code that is giving me 10% off but I can't find anything to give me 20%. Last year at this time we paid $218 for 11 days but the best I am currently getting for 9 days is over $275.
I'm getting terrible prices with my DCcard. Over $500 for 12 days in Aug. This shows a 5% discount only. Last year it was half of this. Tried typing in for the two weekends we will be in there and one weekend I get 20% off as welll as coupon, another weekend 10%. Same contract number same coupon. Could someone mail me the old Contract# so I can give it a try. Hold Dc card as well as EA.

Believe it or not I don't need the old code (still have last year's DC materials). I can verify that new DC code gives 5% discount whereas just logging in to Emerald Club gave 10% discount(!) Using the old code plus 1 day off coupon code I could get an 8-day rental in Dec for $238 (full size); otherwise I got rates between $278 and $311.
Last year I paid $143 for an identical rental. I hope people are right when they say lower rates are likely at end of summer.
thanks will give it a try right now

Could someone please send me the old and new contract numbers. I am DC and Emerald member. I am also very confused!! When I log onto National a number is already in there, which one is it? My seven day stay in Dec. is over $300!

If you logged into Emerald Club first, the contract ID already there is the Emerald Club contract ID. If not, I have no idea. Be sure to try several combinations. In my experience the Emerald Club ID gives better prices than the current Disney Club. It's enough to drive one to a travel agent!
Not to mention that the National website has one of the strangest designs I've seen. I'm surprised it works at all.

I just used the "old" contract code to make a reservation. Now I'm nervous that I'm going to need a printed coupon at the EA gate to get this discounted price. Does anyone have any experience with that? The DC site prints the "new" contract code, but that does not give a good discount at all. I also tried using the old coupon code I had listed from last year's info, but that seems to be expired for my dates of 2/8-2/13/02. Is there any new coupon code to use also that I could try???

Snoozan - just wanted to make sure you are putting in the correct dates. In your last post you had the year as 2002, when I think you mean 2003?

National Car Rental -
If you go to this link-> http://www.wdwplanner.com/dc.htm and look toward the bottom of the page, and use that contract ID, and the coupon code, you should get a 20% discount plus the coupon discount for a free day. Your confirmation email will state that it is a Disney Club discount, even though it isn't the old code, and isn't the new code either according to the Disney Club site. But it works.
Check national frequently, I was able to get a compact for 6 days for $181 Total estimate in Sept and October, but that deal is over now, but I've noticed their rates change constantly.

tara8595,
The code at the bottom of the page you linked to is the same code I found in last year's DC materials, so I think that it is in fact the "old code".

That contract ID # that everyone wants expires 12/03/02, so if you have reservations after that using that code, I don't know if they will honor it. :):D:)
