Hey guys, I need some help. I am doing my 2nd program is Aug. and I would like to take two courses at UCF during the program is it possible to get the the days off for classes only or do they have to be disney classes. I have also applied to be seasonal in my old area (but I have to reapply because I am a campus rep.) Would it be better just to be seasonal so I can determine my own schedule or the CP and try get the two days off for class???? One of my classes are online and the other is in classroom, it two days a week!!!

Thanks

If you have a place to stay seasonal is the better way to go. As I'm sure you already know, they cannot guarantee you days off, even with the CP classes they do not hold them during peak time. When I did the first CP I was doing RCIA to convert to Catholicism. It required me to go to a class every Monday night and particular mass every Sunday. I was extremely lucky in that my area worked around it (still scheduled those days, but in such a way I could go to the classes/mass), but they were not obligated to.

Just remember that seasonal isn't guaranteed hours and CPs are. In my former area CP vs. seasonal would mean working vs. not working.

I was given a 4 hour block of time for my distance learning class, guaranteed, except for the labor exception periods. I don't know if it's the same if you have a physical class to go to, but I would assume so. Depending on your location, you may be scheduled before or after your 4 hour block, though.

I'd wait to make your decision to see if you are accepted for seasonal. It's a very hard position to get right now depending on your department/role.
