I'm thinking about the time when i start training properly again and how annoying my Nathan bottle belt was! Does any have (or had!) a camelbak waist pack? Not sure i want a whole back one. I've seen one called montara online but never actually held one so wondered what you think?
Thanks everyone!

I use a Camelbak Flashflo and love it. I don't like water splashing around when I am running. The Flashflow has a double chinch system that keeps the pack tight when the water is being used up.
It holds enough for a long run, but can also be used for short runs.

Kate: If at all possible borrow one to try it before you buy one. I also have the Flashflo, but cannot get it to not annoy me. It felt like it was sloshing around despite all the cinches. I really think it has to do with your body shape. My backside is probably too big to wear the Flashflo comfortably.:confused3
Good luck,
Cindy

I love mine, and carried it with me on the marathon this year. It is my favourite water carrying system, but I find it a bit bulky for shorter runs. Prefer to just use it for the long ones.

Leana do u have to montara model then?thought it looked quite bulky.
Cindy-yep ideally I would try one but so far have failed to find a local stockist.
Scuba diver thanks 4ur opinion of flashflow too-I had been put off that one as it seems to be geared towards walkers so wasn't sure how it would deal with bounce.
Thanks again, really appreciate it

Hi Kate, I have the Flashflo model as well. I bought it a few years back and it looks like the styling has changed slightly. Still a good looking model though!

I just bought the North Face e race boa. I love it. The water doesn't slosh around. It also wraps around your waist to keep the weight off your shoulders. The best part is that the pockets are in the front so you don't have to reach around to get your energy gel while you are trying to run. Hope this helps.

Hi Kate! I have the Flashflo model - I found it different to run with than my FuelBelt. I liked that the bottles weren't always at my side and the belt would stay put. But I found it to be heavy if I filled it all the way. I also didn't like cleaning out the container. I guess you really have to try one :)
