I hate Houston's heat and humidity

Pretty much all my flowers that were so pretty earlier in the year look like cooked veggies :( It's so hot and humid outside that even going out in the morning just to water leaves me too hot to be comfortable, so my plants all need to be deadheaded (geraniums especially) but it's too hot and humid to do it at any time of the day. :(

The only thing still looking decent is my mandevilla, followed by the hosta.

Ugh -- I can sympathize! It's pretty brutal up here, too -- by July everything is usually incinerated.

They used to call Houston "Bagdad on the Bayou" when I was growing up! Not an easy place for garden lovers.
