that would be fun! to plan... and make me just a little less depressed the week of May that ya'll are all there :rotfl2: I tried to drop hints to Leanne about a quick Christmas trip next year at that time (it should be a slow week)--because you see she has said several times she would like to see it at Christmas :santa:
and we all must remember we will be on the coast of FL the week after :beach: I have to be sure Danny gets his :beach: trip this year :lmao: or no Disney trip for me and Ashton!!! I plan to book both trips on the same day to be sure we all get what we want:idea:

If things stay stable at work it is probably very doable. Last year was so crazy with paycuts, layoffs, etc that I hated to make that kind of a commitment. I really do want to see everything decorated for Christmas. I just know I can't go over a year without being in my happy place. :lmao:

but, you both realize that we plan to go the week after Thanksgiving...we plan to hit the road on Friday w/a Sat,Sun,Mon at other theme parks and Tue-Sat at Disney
so, don't tease me...that would not be very nice cause I would love to meet up with ya'll in Disney:santa: what a wonderful Christmas gift that would be to meet at the most magical place in the world!!! I know, I know, you are in the planning stage...but now you need to think of AP's

I just get so annoyed when posts disappear :headache::mad:.
It would be great to plan a trip at Christmas even if we were only able to come for that weekend.
Dale wants to go to Talladega this Saturday for the truck race, but I'm not to sure I want to go because it may rain and I hate driving 11 hours for nothing :sad2:. We would have to leave here at 5am so we could get there at 10:00 or 10:30am, then it will be 10:00-10:30pm before we get back home . I guess we will just have to see what the weather channel says huh?

Sorry I haven't been on. I have been giving my house one of those top to bottom cleanings. Dallas and I went through one of his toy boxes and threw out a 30 gallon bag and another half bag of old toys. It was stuff that couldn't really be donated. I cleaned carpets, scrubbed floors, rearranged furniture etc.......... I am POOPED and I have to work the next two days :scared1:.

NASCAR races are A LOT of fun. It is as much fun watching all the people around you as it is watching the race itself. We use to stay with family in Anniston and make it our vacation. I am terrified of heights, but the mountains are nice up in that area. When we started going to Disney every year we cut out staying and just go for the day. Local racing is nothing like NASCAR. When they go by at 190 mph the sound is unbelievable and you can actually feel it.
If it looks like rain we won't go.

I'm glad you are here . I do need to start a May PTR. I REALLY need to finish this TR. I just can't seem to find the time :sad2:. Thank you about ex MIL. My ex-husband seems to be taking it well, he is still busy with Wills and trusts right now so he is keeping busy.
I'm glad everything worked out with the pin code too. I was really worried when the reservation confirmation came in Amanda's name . Pop was great, I wanted to try CBR, but Dale said he would rather stay at Pop again and use the extra money on something else. It would be so much fun to get together and have a day at the pool. We were in the 80's area so we had the computer pool. I have got to get to our Tuesday because I have pool pictures of Dale and Dallas.
Hey girl! How are you doing? Are you going to Talledega?
Doing good, I think? I'm so tired right now I don't know.........:lmao:. We are gonna go if it doesn't rain. It's not looking to good right now :sad1:.

Yeah, I had to work Thursday and Friday. I was really busy Friday, I'm glad I have the weekend off. We were going to go the Talledega for the truck race today, but the rain kept us away. Now I wish we had went because it stopped raining before race time :sad2:.

Don and I are fighting over who has to get out of their chair to answer the doorbell. One of Sheri's old high school friends was just here with his two little girls. Sheri just was getting ready to leave so it was nice she got to see him.
Hope your evening is good. Sorry you didn't get to go to the race. Crazy weather we are having you can't make any plans.

OK, finally an update on the trip. When I left off last time we had gone to Flipper's Pizza and retired to the room. That was Monday September 28th. So it is now Tuesday, September 29th and we have tickets for MNSSHP :thumbsup2. We decided not to go to a park that morning and spend the early part of the day at the pool and doing laundry. We knew we needed a few more things at Walmart so we dressed and headed over. Dallas had been wanting a game from GameStop so we went there first, it is in a strip mall next to Walmart. We picked up a 12 pack of diet Coke and some snacks then headed back to Pop. Dallas actually talked Dale into swimming with us so we gathered up our dirty clothes and headed out. The laundry is right next to the pool so it was easy. We put the clothes on to wash and went to swim. Now, I have to tell you Dallas does not know how to swim so he would get one of the swim vests they have at the pool. Needless to say the child size does not fit him so he put it on backwards........:lmao:

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/Photo_092909_002.jpg
I forgot to take the camera and I had to use my phone so not the best quality. While they were playing in the pool I was finishing up on the laundry, so I was back and forth between the pool and the laundry room. After swimming and laundry we headed back to the room for showers and a nap. We had a 5:30 ADR for Grand Floridian Cafe so after our naps we got ready and headed out. Dale didn't want Dallas and me to wear our costumes so we wore street clothes to eat.

We got back to the room and dressed for the party and headed to MK.
I asked Dale to take a picture of us and this is what I got.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF3887-1.jpg

So we got the the TTC and guess what? Dallas for got his Mickey head pumpkin, so Dale went back to the car while we waited at the the TTC. By the time Dale got back Dallas and I were already sweating. I knew we were in for it. Dallas asked if he could take off the pirate hat? "Well, of course you can" in the backpack it went.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF3889-1.jpg
If I could have I would have taken off that HOT HOT HOT HOT dress and put on some shorts :scared1: For it to be such a short dress it sure was HOT. Yeah, I mean sauna hot. So we made it to the monorail and waited. There really wasn't too many people there so it was nice.

After getting in the park and having our arm bands put on I wanted a picture of Dallas and Dale, but a CM said she would take a picture of all 3 of us . She told us not to expect too much because she wasn't a photopass photographer. I thought she did pretty good.

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF3904-1.jpg
We made our way down Main Street to the corner at Plaza. A CM there said the Headless Horseman was getting ready to ride in about 5 minutes so we waited.

They had the area roped off and the tape on the ground where noone was suppose to stand. Notice I said SUPPOSE. Those of us standing there were following the rules, but just as the HH rode by a group walking down the sidewalk jumped in front of all of us and boy was I MAD :headache::mad:. so this is the picture of the HH I was able to get

Thanks Ginny . I just couldn't get over how hot it was. Dallas wasn't the only one stripping either. By the time we left, we saw a lot of people with half their costumes off. Dale said if Dallas could have, he would have went into the park as a pirate and left the park as Superman :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:.
Swimming was much more fun than laundry, but I do have to say their dryers are much better than mine.

Please pardon the pause in posting. My niece brought her baby over for trick or treating.
I was really upset with all those people jumping in front of us. There were a lot of us waiting for the parade to start and they saw us and didn't care. Since we couldn't really see the parade we walked on over to TL
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF3908-1.jpg
We rode TTA first, and we were the only ones on it.

We went to the candy stations and headed over to TT. There was a dance party at the Stitch stage area and I wanted to watch that, but Dallas wanted to get more candy.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF3920-1.jpg
Now the black vest and sash are gone..........:rotfl2:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF3923-1.jpg
We start walking toward the back of TT to the candy stations and I didn't get a picture, but the couple in front of us were pushing their little boy in a stroller, and as they were walking one of the wheels FELL off their stroller. I told Dale that was a serious Disney family because they had literally walked the wheels off their stroller. The dad heard me and he looked up at me and laughed and shook his head "yes".

We made our way back to TL just as the fireworks show was starting. I filmed it as Dale went to get us all a cold diet Coke.
It isn't the best quality video, but it gives a good idea. The batteries went dead before the end of it fireworks so it stops a little before the end.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG4Tw1yjoi8
After the fireworks we sat for a while to cool off. Then we headed on. We rode the Tea Cups, Snow White, IaSW, and the HM. We wanted to ride PP, but the line was WAY too long. It was the only line I saw at the party.
Since the batteries in my camera had gone, I took a few with my cell. The quality is OK, but not great.

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/WOMANATHMMNSSHP.jpg
We were going to head to BTM, but by now we were really tired and hot so we made the decision to call it a night and head on back to the room. When we got to the room we combined all the candy and this was our take. We still have some of it left........:lmao:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/candyfromMNSSHP.jpg
So after we got back to the room we were really tired and hot so we all got showers again and Dale and Dallas decided they wanted something to eat so, once again, we ordered pizza to be delivered. Remember I told you they could eat pizza 7 days a week :scared1:.

Thank ya!! I can't stand rudeness, but sometimes you wonder if people are being rude or just ignorant :sad2:. We did have a great time, I had so hoped it would be cool. Our weather is about the same as Orlando so I knew when we left we were doomed. We had been having record temps here too. It is FINALLY cooling off here :banana.

I have an old photo album of my Mom's and it has Christmas pictures of me (about 12 or 13 years old)and a couple of my neices and nephews in shorts and tank tops . We ended up not doing anything last night :sad2:. We were going to go to the church, but Dallas didn't really want to go and we had been gone all day so my niece brought her baby over and we played with him.

Hey Ginny :wave2: I hope you are having a great day. I'm acutally at work today, but we are kinda slow. Eli is so funny. He would get into something and when Stevie got on to him he would cry, and if she ignored him he would get closer to her and cry again........:lmao:.

OMG I think that was my most favorite party, the Pirate and Princess!! Just LOVED that one!!! I like the Christmas one too....the hot chocolate and the cookies...MMMMMM just awesome!! LOL
I hope they bring the P and P party back. It was just great. I haven't been to the Christmas party yet. I still have my fingers crossed though :rolleyes1.

I'd love to see Disney bring back the Pirate and Princess parties too. We had tickets for the May, 2008 one but when we had to cancel our trip, I lost that money. Now, from what I understand, there's no talk whatsoever about bringing the parties back.:headache:

We missed the 2008 party by one day so 2007 was the only one we got to go to. I sure wish they would bring it back though :sad2:. They need some type of party during the first part of the year.

All the talk about the P and P party made me want to post some of the pictures from the party. We went in February 2007. Now, just a quick note, the computer I had before this one has some issues it is ornery and sometimes it will come on and other times not :confused3. I drug it out yesterday to try and get some of the pictures that I have on it uploaded to photobucket. I was able to get some of them so here are a few.

I didn't have as much fun the MNSSHP as the P and P party either. Amanda didn't go with us in 2007, so Dale and Tyler were doing their thing while Dallas and I were doing ours. I so wish they would bring the party back or do some other type of party. I saw today that we are gonna miss the Flower and Garden festival by a week:sad1:.

It says now they found him at his mother's home and he surrendered. Christine and I are starting a petition. When you think you are going to harm a US citizen your rights are automatically stripped away. We have so many laws helping the bad people that everyone forgot the good ones and they no longer have protection. Let's go back and follow the rules of the Constitution that are already there instead of making so many new ones.
I will now get off my soapbox.

Hello! Dana
have ya'll tied down everything...we did that yesterday! according to the last report I had seen we are expecting TS winds and flooding! (we do not flood but main road ways do!) Danny is at work on the southshore and so we are trying to be vigilant about road closures for him to come back home! I do not think we are expected to get much rain...but for our friends on here (Braveteacher) they should be seeing the water rise since last night! The MS river is very high and expected to keep rising!
Ya'll stay safe it appeared to still be heading your way...getting ready to go in my room to watch the noon update!
Keeping ya'll in our prayers!

All I need to do is bring in my plants and the chairs off my porch. I'm glad you don't flood, some of the roads around me will have water over them too. Last night they were saying they were going to close the bridges at 6pm tonight. That will shut down I-10 and I-65. Several of my friends live on the Eastern Shore so they were deciding if they needed to spend the night at the hospital last night, because if we are scheduled we HAVE to be at work.
Ya'll stay safe too and I will be praying for ya'll too. I will also be praying for Braveteacher and her family.

I know I have been bad about finishing up this report so I have got to get to it. When I left off we had been to the MNSSHP and made it back to the room and ordered pizza.
Wednesday, September 30th we had an ADR for Kona at 2:15. We got up, got ready and went to the food court for breakfast. We all got pancakes and bacon, juice and a chocolate milk. I also bought a mug, yeah late I know, because I wanted a diet coke and they don't have them in a bottle at the food court. We got in line and I swear it was argue with the cashier day. I don't think anybody in line that morning knew how to use the DDP :sad2:. By the time we got to a table our food was cold, but we ate it anyway. I was really shocked at how much the food would have cost without the DDP. For 3
orders of pancakes, bacon, juice and mile it was $48 plus change, and that didn't include my mug. We decided to go to AK again for the day so after we ate we headed out.
The first thing we went for was KS since it was cool and they say the animals are out better then. I haven't noticed much of a difference really, but along the way we saw the dancers and I wanted to stop and watch them.

Well, while they were setting up they started picking people out of the crowd to come and dance with them. I wanted them to pick Dale, but no it wasn't Dale they picked................it was Dallas :lmao:. I didn't want to be picked even though I love to dance. This was so funny.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKZ-6mnWEdI
As you can see Dallas is NOT a dancer. The kids around him were just standing there too. The one little boy was trying to plan his escape.... LOL He is so much bigger than all the other kids around him, I swear he look like Will Ferrell in Elf.
After Dallas made his off off off Broadway debut, we headed on over to KS and I took more animal pictures.

If you look to the left you will see the glass with the drink in it. The pineapple has some of the drink in it and they bring the rest in a glass so you can refill the pineapple. This drink was very good and VERY strong.
We placed our order and we didn't have to wait very long for our food.
I got the Pan-fried Chicken with Coconut and Mango Sauces and it was FANTASTIC.

Love the update Dana...man....it sure was hot this year!!! It's still a little warm, wasn't too bad today, cool tomorrow...I wish it would make up it's mind!! I think we've decided to go try out SM on the 19th of Dec.....HINT HINT!!! HAHA That's the weekend before Christmas. I wanna do the 5th, but kinda have plans....and that's the taping of the ABC parade...so not sure. The plans for that day are kinda falling apart, so that's another weekend I'm looking at. Not a huge deal, but either weekend. I think if we go on the 5th, we're gonna ride SM, and high tail it to another park, I'll probably let Chris choose. Just FYI!!! Plus, you gotta place to stay, no hotel this time...keep that in mind!!!

It was hot way too long this year. It is 71 degrees here right now and it is 8pm so we haven't cooled down much yet. It is suppose to go to 48 tonight, but it will get back up to 72 tomorrow. I have to work the weekend of the 5th and the 19th :sad1:. I have just let it drop about going for Christmas. Dale nor Dallas wants to be away from home then so we will just wait until May :sad2: I only have 3 weekends off before Christmas anyway and we have got to finish our shopping. If you go to my PTR for May you can see what I ordered from Disneyshopping.com today ;).

To be honest Connie I don't know why we have never went. I guess we were just always running from one side of the park to the other so everybody could ride the "big" rides. I will go back next time, because it was really enjoyable. Are you still saving up your coke points? The Universal tickets are sold out right now, but I am hoping they will have them back up when we are getting ready to go.

Glad you found time for an update.

Thanks Ginny. Bless his little heart he has two left feet anyway. He is so clumsy. He makes up for it though with his big heart .
I hope to update again this weekend.
I hope your weekend goes good. How did the tests go? I have been thinking about you today.

I think his big heart must come from his momma. He is a sweetheart. Austin was always so much bigger than other kids his age. It was hard at times. His personality kept him going. He has always been a very loyal friend and it has paid off.
BTW. He got accepted to SBU (Southwest Baptist Univ in Bolivar Mo). He got the Board of Trustees scholarship for $7500 a year for 4 years. Don and I took him to dinner last night and his phone rings. He couldn't figure out who would call during dinner so he let go to vm. It was the Dean of Business at the college telling him to call him so they could get him some more scholarships. He can live at home as it is about a 20 mile drive from their house on four lane. I think he is happy that it is settled for him. He had another college he liked too but it did not have a business program so he would have to go elsewhere for his masters. SBU has a 5 year masters program. Super proud of him. I'm sure you are surprised on that.
I have had all my tests done and will now wait for results. I'll be sure to let everyone know as soon as I hear.
Have a good weekend. Getting a pedicure tomorrow with Sheri and Sharon.

That is so sweet Ginny. Dallas IS my heart. He has such a caring, considerate disposition. It is hard for Dallas at times because he is so much bigger than most kids his age. He can't even play football because he is so much bigger than kids his age. The rule here is your weight can be 10 times your age plus 10 so he could weigh 120 lbs and play in his age group, but Dallas weighs 160 so he would qualify to play with 15 year olds :scared1:
I am so proud for Austin :woohoo:. I know you are too. That is a fantastic scholarship. It is good that he gets to stay home and go to school because the money he saves by staying at home will go directly to pay for school and books. I can't believe how much it costs to go to college now :scared1:. Amanda also got a Presidential Scholarship and she still had to take out $10,000 in loans because tuition keeps going up, but the scholarship stays the same. If it had cost that much when I went I would not have been able to go. Tell Austin for me WAY TO GO. Let him know he has people all over the country who are proud of him .
I'm keeping you in my prayers.

yes, on the coke points...I have not been on there in a couple of weeks...I usually let my points build up and I was 200 away on mine and 300 away on another email address and more on the other three...I said I would not order without doing two at a time...so I guess we just missed out...but, last year they did bring them back twice (that I know of) after running out!...if not we'll use them for Nike or resturant cards!

I have been so bad about updating since I started my PTR for May, but I am finally giving one.
When I left off we had just finished a great lunch at Kona and we had gone back to the room for a nap.
So after a very short nap we headed back to MK to ride some of the rides we had missed on our visits earlier in the week. We got to the park just in time to catch the Move It, Shake It Celebration. I soooo love this event. I had to stop and film some of it again. I hope I haven't posted this before. I filmed it each time I got to see it :rotfl2:. Anyway here is the video. And a few pictures.

Dale and Dallas were in a big ole hurry so after I got this we headed to TL. My memory gets kinda fuzzy because I'm not exactly sure what all we rode, but I know we did the Laugh Floor again. I didn't get to many pictures because after the MNSSHP my batteries never had a chance to completely recharge.
After TL we decided to head over to FL to ride BTM. Now last year when we rode BTM Dallas said he liked it. So later in the week he and I went to ride it by ourselves and when we got to the front of the line he changes his mind :scared1:, so we do the walk of shame. This year he said he wouldn't change his mind so we got on line. We get to our turn and he gets in the seat, I climb in next to him and he doesn't say a word. As we are riding I hear a big ole "WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO" and I am trilled :woohoo:.
We then head to PoTC and ride it again and decide we are tired so we head out. It has been a good and LONG day. We still have 2 days left and tomorrow is Epcot. I can't remember where we ate our CS this day.

I was really surprised that he liked it. He is a big boy, but he is still my baby and I think maybe I have babied him too much. Thank you Ginny, I was really worried when he got H1N1 because of his asthma. Again GOD is good. I prayed all the way home from Disney that day and I still pray there is no lingering effects. I really worried when he had some problems a couple weeks ago.

Hope you are enjoying your day off. Bummer to work the weekend but you manage. Don used to have to work weekends and nights. Our girls didn't know what to do when he got to go to Sunday-Thursday. To be off Friday and Sat was wonderful for them. He didn't go to days till about 10 years ago. He is #20 on the seniority list out of 420 so he pretty much will always be mon-fri 600-230 till he retires next year. He is going to bid off the fork next time he bids jobs which will be 11/30 cause that is when he bids vacay for next year too. He is the oldest warehouse employee there but younger ones are higher on the seniority list cause they started right out of highschool. He has been there 30 years.

Work is going pretty good today so far :thumbsup2. Actually getting to work with my sister. One of our regular nurses called in and my sister's unit is closed so they called her first . Dale has a m-f job, but his hours are not as good as Don's. He goes in at 7am, but he gets off when he finishes his route, sometimes that is 2pm and there have been times it was 8pm. How fun working with your sis tho.
Don normally works an hour over every day but since he got hurt the doc still has him on restriction of 8 hrs a day. I think after Thanksgiving he will lift that. Don has liked no overtime. The extra money is nice but he likes being home early every day. He has decided not to schedule any weeks for vacay next year so he can just take a day or so when he wants. Then he will take from Thanksgiving to the end of the year off and be done. Fine by me. We will take some days for our cruise but he can just turn those in when he wants.

Dale is salaried so it doesn't matter how many hours a week he works so overtime for him is like a freebie for his company :scared1:. I don't blame Don for wanting to take the time at the end of the year and be done. I don't even think about retirement, that is just too far off for me :sad2:.

OK, I know I have been so bad at updating here since I started a PTR, so I am finally going to update .
Thursday, October 1st it was Epcot day. We got up and got ready. We had an ADR for Le Cellier at 11:40 so we didn't eat breakfast. Dallas and I had decided we were going to try Soarin', yep me, the person scared to climb up bleachers, and Dallas, scared to look up at the sky when he is walking. We got to the park and I had to get my bag checked. We knew we needed to head to Soarin' first.
Of course I took pictures along the way
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF4062-1.jpg
I was going to take a picture of Dale and Dallas, but a very nice man asked if we wanted him to take a picture of all of us?
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF4063-1.jpg
Again you can see Dallas has a hard time posing for a picture.
So we get to Soarin' and get in line. It wasn't too bad, the wait was about 30 minutes.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF4068-1.jpg
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF4074-1.jpg
While we were waiting Dale kept telling Dallas and me that we were going to hate it because he knows we are both scared of heights. We decided we would just sit on the back row so we wouldn't be lifted so high when it started. Now, I do have to add here that the queue area for Soarin' is less than interesting. I actually found it to be rather boring and plain.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF4070-1.jpg
Anyway, we get to our seat and Dallas had to put his shoes in the little compartment under his seat. We sat back and Dallas and I held on :lmao:. The lights went out and the seats lifted. WOW, it was AMAZING. We absolutely loved this ride. We got off and headed straight for a fastpass to return later. Next we headed to World Showcase so we could trek around the World before our ADR at LC.
We rode the boat in Mexico (Bad picture)
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/Photo_100109_003.jpg
I wanted a Margarita so we stopped at the stand outside Mexico and I got one
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/Photo_100109_001.jpg
It was OK. Much better than the one I got last year. We rode Maelstrom and headed to the bakery so I could get a school bread for later. It was a really hot day so Dale and Dallas wanted something cold, so we stopped at the little stand near Morocco and they got Root Beer Floats .
While we were waiting I took a few pictures of Dallas. I used my cell phone. For some reason the batteries in my camera would not fully charge overnight :confused3.

When they finished their ice cream we started walking around WS again. Another first time for us we headed to The American Adventure.

It's really nice you and your sis get along. Mine lives across town and I haven't seen her in about 3 years now. She did send me a birthday card this year. I heard that her husband was retiring and closing his shop. I speak to my niece and nephew and they haven't said a word about it.
Don used to have a salaried job. They worked him about 65 hours a week. His pay was good and we had good benefits. He got mad one day and walked right out the door. After I shot him and treated his wound I forgave him. :rotfl2: He probably wished I had of. We worked thru it and life goes on. I did tell him never again quit before you have something else lined up. I have had 3 jobs my adult life. A clinic for 12 years, the neurosurgeons for 17 and psychiatrist 7.
You have a good day tomorrow. My last work day of the week.

What a great update. Soarin Rocks for sure. I so can't do bleachers, ladders or stairs that are not filled in in the backs. I can do up it's the down I can't do. And cannot be on anything taller than a step ladder, first step, not the top. But I love Soarin. I even did the front row. It was the best.

Dallas got an ice cream sundae, but I didn't get a picture.
After we finished eating we headed back to WS to finish up our rounds. Since it was the Food and Wine festival I wanted to at least try a few things. I tried a crab cake, bread pudding and a beer from Germany. I gave Dale the beer, yuck, it was dark beer. I ate the bread pudding and a couple of bites of the crab cake. We finished up the walk around WS and went to ride Soarin' again. It was better the second time :thumbsup2. After Soarin' we went and rode Nemo.

After SSE we went back to the room for a while to rest. We were really tired and decided to stay in the room. I can't remember what we did for dinner that night for our CS meal. I think Dallas and I were tired because we were already sick, we just didn't know it yet :scared1::sad2::sad1:.

Dale works a lot of hours too. He really doesn't have any benefits with his job though. I was working PRN when Dallas was a baby and when he was 2 1/2 I went back full time because the insurance was going up to $125 a week at Dale's job :scared1: I have had several jobs in my life. I had my cosmetology license and did that for a while. Then I worked as an optician for about 5 years, after that I worked at Sears Telecatalog as a supervisor while I was in college. I have been in nursing for almost 17 years.
I hope you have a good day tomorrow, I know it will be since you have the rest of the week off. What are your plans for Thanksgiving.
Love the pictures. I'm like you with the Americanm Adventure. Love it you displaced Yankee.
Thank you. Soarin' does rock :thumbsup2. I can't wait to go on it again. I have a bad fear of heights and I have had that fear for as long as I can remember. That is the reason I don't do roller coasters.
 Thank you. We will do the AA next time too. I am glad we did a lot of "new" stuff. We will do them again. I loved my dad's accent. He was from Hell's Kitchen and he had that deep New York accent :rotfl2:.
Soarin twice. Totally awesome for you. Makes me proud. Sorry this was when you started getting sick. I would love to be there in wine and food festival. Maybe someday.
:woohoo: Soarin' :woohoo: I didn't even realize we were getting sick. I just though we were tired :confused3.

Le Cellier was good, but I think we are going to skip it in May. The steak at Grand Floridian Cafe was amazingly good too, so I will just get one there.
I hope the Birthday Donkey brings me a Canon Rebel :lmao:. Everyone I know who has one says it is great camera and I know the pictures are really good.
I don't have much left of this report so I will be able to devote all my time to the May PTR.

The time has come to finish up this TR :sad2::sad1:.
Friday, October 2nd was to be our last day in the parks. We had decided to leave early Saturday morning to drive home. I had canceled our ADR at Sci Fi and made one for Grand Floridian Cafe for 1:50. We have found a new favorite restaurant. I give GFC a 9 out of 10 stars, the one being off for it being a kinda formal place. Dale doesn't like formal places, he says he doesn't fit in :confused3. The wait staff is GREAT, the atmosphere is really nice as is the view we had. The food was fantastic. Anyway, it was really nice and I wanted to eat there again. This was NOT to happen on this trip :sad2:. At about 2 am I awoke feeling a little yucky, thinking maybe it was the crab cake I had eaten at the FandW festival or maybe it was the fact I had consumed different types of adult beverages the day before, that being a margarita, an orange slushy from France, a glass of wine from Ireland, and a sip of the dark beer from Germany. I went the bathroom and when I got back in bed Dallas said he was cold. I told him to snuggle up next to me because it was cold in the room because Dale likes icicles hanging from the ceiling :sad2:. About 30 minutes or so later Dallas wakes me up and tells me his feet are freezing, he places his feet against my leg and they are HOT. I knew then that he had a fever, at this point I get kinda fuzzy about what happened. I can't remember if I gave him something for the fever or not? I know the one thing I forgot to pack was a thermometer :guilty:. We went back to sleep and woke up around 7:30. Dallas said "Mom I don't feel so good. I think I am going to throw up". I told him to run to the bathroom. My poor baby, when he throws up the retching comes all the way from the bottom of his feet. He comes back and gets in bed, I had awaken Dale and told him Dallas was sick. Dallas asks, " What are we gonna do today since I am sick?" Dale and I both say "We are going home".
I dressed quickly, as did Dale, and we finished packing. We had already put one of our suitcases full of stuff in the car on Wednesday.
While we were getting everything together I took this.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/Disney%20September%202009/DSCF4120_edited.jpg
You can see in his eyes that he isn't feeling well.
We had everything packed and in the car by 8:30. We headed to the front to check out and get on the road. I had to wait to check out and when I got to the desk, the CM was, how do I put this, not very outgoing or friendly, now he wasn't rude at all, just totally blah. I told him why we were checking out early and I got no response what so ever :sad2:. I went to the food court and spent the rest of our credits, I got lots of juice, a couple croissants, Mickey rice crispie treats, and some cookies. I think that was about it. I got to the car and we pulled out of the parking lot at 9:05. We had found a new way in and out of Disney that bypassed I-4, it is SR-429. We will use it from now on. We ate our snacks and even being sick Dallas ate a croissant. When we got to Gainesville I called our Pediatrician to see if we could get in, this is where working with them comes in handy. I spoke with my friend Nancy, she is the phone nurse, and let her know what was going on. She went and got the appointment book and asked if we could be there by 4:30, I told her yes. She said to call if we didn't think we were gonna make it and she would talk to the doctor and let them know I was coming in. When we hit Lake City we stopped at Krystal and got a sack full. Dallas wanted a slushy so of course he got that. The H1N1 did not affect his appetite at all. We had to stop in Crestview, Fl and get some more Motrin and Tylenol because I had ran out. While I was in the store I found a neat thermometer(I thought) so I got it and got Dallas the movie Monsters and Aliens. We still had about 2 hours to drive. We were on the Bay Way (I-10) coming into Mobile when my cell rang, it was Nancy checking to see if we were going to make it. It was now 4 and I told her we would be there. At 4:29 I signed in. There was one other family waiting when we sat down. When we were put in a room I told the nurse ( I didn't know her) that I thought Dallas either had the flu or strep throat. She took a swab of his throat and one from his nose. When she came back she said they needed to move us to another room :scared:. I became suspicious at this and she confirmed a positive on the flu swab. At this point I started to get scared. A few minutes later Dr. Nobles came in the room and said it was positive. The look on her face scared me even more. She said we needed to watch Dallas close because of his asthma, like I didn't know this already. She asked if I had enough albuterol for his nebulizer as he needed to be taking breathing treatments at least every 6 hours. I told her I had plenty and she gave me the Rx for tamiflu. She told me to call her if Dallas started showing even the slightest signs of respiratory troubles. She also told me to alternate between the Motrin and Tylenol, which I always do anyway. The Tylenol is better at bringing down a fever and the Motrin is better at keeping it down.
The peds office is in the hospital where I work and we have a pharmacy we can use to fill Rxs so we got the tamiflu filled and I gave Dallas one right away. I feel like we were really blessed to get everything done in less than 12 hours. Within 2 days Dallas was feeling much better and I was starting to feel really bad . I went to the doctor the following Tuesday and was confirmed and given tamiflu.
Looking back I know we did everything we possibly could have to avoid getting sick. I had hand sanitizer, Lysol spray and wipes, I had antibacterial hand wipes and we washed our hands more times than I can count. The problem comes in with people who do NOT :scared1: cover when they cough or sneeze, going to the parks when they are obviously sick or taking their kids to the parks when they are sick, and being in tight enclosed places with people who are sick. I can understand why people do it, a Disney trip is expensive and they want to squeeze every dime out of it, but by doing so they are putting others at risk.
Now, that being said, do I think the CDC and WHO are blowing the H1N1 way out of purportion? Yes, I do. Do I think it is a scare tactic? Yes, I do. Is the vaccine safe and effective? I don't know, I don't believe it is, but I wasn't going to get it either way. There have been a couple of cases where people who have had the flu got it again, so if natural immuinity doesn't protect someone from it, then I don't think something made in a lab will either. At this point I will step off my soap box :lmao:.

It can't be over!!!
I can't believe the person at the check out desk didn't even say ANYTHING when you explained why you were checking out early. You should have at least gotten a "that's too bad" or an "I hope he feels better soon".
I'm glad you guys are all feeling better, too. I am sad that your TR is over.

Since my daily report is over I am going to give a final thought on this trip.
We made the reservation for this trip as soon as free dining was announced. It was pretty soon after we got home from our May trip. Amanda was not able to go on this trip with us and Tyler didn't want to go. We had the DDP on our May 2008 trip, but we didn't care for at that time. We had decided we would only do it if we got it free. I never totally unpacked everything from our May and July trips, so packing was pretty easy.
The day came for us to go and even though I was nervous about leaving Amanda and Tyler home alone we were excited about heading to see our best friend. So after much ado here is my take on our September '09 Anniversary at Pop.
HOTEL AND RESTAURANT RATINGS
HOTEL
Pop Century----------Good hotel. We loved the theming, location and layout. Our room was in a good location in the building as it was on the corner of the building. We were near the Computer pool and next to the elevators. Mousekeeping was good and we had 3 different towel animals. Very cute. I would rate Pop an 8 out of 10. 2 off only because it was a hike to the food court and the food court was WAY too crowded and unorganized. We will stay here again.
RESTAURANTS
Plaza--------------Nice place for a sandwich and great desserts. We like to eat at Plaza because it is a nice nostalgic eatery with very good wait staff. 7 out of 10. It loses the 3 for limited menu, crowded dining area, and bathroom being outside. We will eat here again.
'Ohana-------------We chose 'Ohana for a character breakfast because I wanted to try it. I would rather have had dinner, but we couldn't get an ADR. Beautiful view, good character interaction, food was OK as far as breakfast food goes. 6 out of 10. It loses 4 for overbooking, slow wait staff, inattentive wait staff and too many tables crowded together with the characters trying to get around. We are going to try it for dinner in May.
Crystal Palace---------This is our 3rd time to eat at CP. The food is good and being able to get in the park early is always a plus. Seeing the castle in the early morning without the crowds is awesome. I give CP a 7 out of 10. It loses 3 for very slow character interaction, decor needing an update(Tigger, Pooh planter in center) tables being too close together. We will eat here again, but it isn't in the plans for May.
Grand Floridian Cafe--------This is a great restaurant and it would have to be one of Disney's best kept secrets. The theming is again very nice with great views of the grounds. It was not crowded at all and even though it has that formal look it isn't stuffy. The wait staff is second to none and the waiter will go over the menu with you and make suggestions. My suggestion is to get the strawberry salad...........OMG to die for. Our steaks were so tender we could cut them with our forks. They were accommodating to Dallas' food allergies. I give GFC a 9 out of 10. One off because they don't take the TIW card at dinner, only at breakfast and lunch. Here are a couple of pictures from the Dis boards info page.

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/DISBOARD%20STUFF/grandfloridiancafe.jpg
Kona-------------We ate here in May of '08 and wasn't impressed, but I wanted to try the Lapu Lapu. This time I was impressed. The food was delicious. I would give Kona an 8 out of 10. It loses 2 for atmosphere and decor. It has the feel of a Woolworth's :lmao:. We will eat here again.
Le Cellier------------We ate here for the first time in May and we really enjoyed the food. I chose a different steak this time and I should have stuck with the fillet. I did get the chocolate cake and it was yummy. The wait staff was good. I give Le Cellier an 8 out of 10. It loses 2 for difficulty obtaining an ADR and the dank feeling of being in "The Cellier".
This was a great trip, we had a wonderful time, wait times were very manageable and we were able to do things we had never done before. MNSSHP was fun even though it was super hot. I still say the Pirate and Princess Party was more fun. I may plan a trip for September next year too, but we will see. I hate the reason we had to end our trip a day early, but that is just how the cookie crumbles. Now that all is well I look back and realize just how special a Disney vacation can be.
I hope everyone enjoyed my TR and I hope I kept everyone entertained and maybe someone was able to glean a little useful information. I look forward to seeing everyone on my May 2010 PTR.
THANKS FOR READING

Love your final thoughts on your trip. It helps to know the reasons of liking or not liking the eating areas. Wish I was going back soon so I could be preplanning.
We loved Ohana breakfast. We had a good server but like you, they overbook. The character interaction was the best. Our only other character meal was Chef Mickeys.
Hope you had a good day.

Thank you Ginny. I too like it when someone gives a reason for why they rate things the way they do. I may have been more generous than others would have been, but I think the majority of CMs at Disney go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy.
I am still waiting to hear when I can get my MRI :sad2:.

I was really tired after all the running around. Walking on the crutches just wears me out. Even though it ws cold outside I was sweating from walking on the crutches. I got some sleep, but when I woke up my leg was hurting pretty bad :sad2:.
We may get some snow here tonight into tomorrow. I hope so because Dallas has never seen snow. I hope you have good day.
