A LOT cheaper than here! :) Do you know that Chicagoland is like the third highest now?

Gas around Orlando is more expensive than in Georgia, but cheaper than in South Florida. Gas around the Space Coast tends to run a little more expensive than gas in Orlando.

Your best bet for relatively inexpensive gas at the Space Coast is RaceTrac. There's one on A1A near the Radisson, and another one just off SR-528 at the SR-3 exit on Merritt Island.

Just filled up today (6/18/02) in Melbourne, about 20 minutes from the Cape, and regular was $1.33.

That's disgusting!

I'm in the SF Bay Area. I just paid $1.79/gal. for regular gas yesterday. We have the dubious (dis)honor of always being the highest in the nation!!

Then you probably don't want to know that I filled up my car for $1.17/gallon today. At least you don't live in Hawaii. We paid $1.79/gallon there several years ago when the prices here were at an inflation-adjusted all-time low... about $0.69/gallon.

The prices in the bay area have been the same or higher then Hawaii's for years. (My mom lives there so I visit).....always love to see what other people pay.

Dave, if you come up the road a little further you could have saved 2 cents per gallon. The Walmart here is down to 1.15.. For those of you traveling along the I-95 corridor in SC we noticed last week that gas there is around 1.30 per gallon.

The price around here is bouncing around $1.65~1.70 depending on which county you're in. Us around the 'big cities' get the blessing of that reformulated gas which costs a good bit more :( I feel your pain out there in the bay area.

Around NE Ohio, gasoline prices tend to jump up 15 or 20 cents per gallon on Thursdays and then slowly fall back after the weekend. Just yesterday I saw the price of regular go from $1.27 to $1.45 between the time that I got to work in the morning and left for home in the evening.

I buy my gas at Sam's Club, but I have seen a Wal-Mart selling gas (none around here do so).

Here in the Greenville area we also have a discount club called BJs. Reg. there now is 1.15. We like BJs much better than Sams because they take coupons and take all charge cards with prices being about the same as Sams.
Walmart just went to 1.19. I have not been to the Sam's Club in over a week but would bet it will be 1.19 as well.
