awe, I like when butterflies land on my fingers, as well as lady bugs.
But those are the only bugs I allow to touch me hehe
:scared: I do not want bugs of any kind to be on me.

 Well I've got to get through all the WDW stuff first. ;) The cruise will come soon enough if I keep up my rate of three updates a week. I am moving much faster than I usually do. ;) My past two TR's each park day took me a month each to report on and this one I have been working on the TR for just over a month and only have 2 and half parks days left to go. ;)

We never did end up playing the Kim Possible game. Oh well, hopefully it will be around next time we go. :thumbsup2 I hope you get to do it it's meant to be fun :goodvibes
A couple people were able to get the butterflies to land on their fingers, I wasn't going to attempt that though. I enjoy looking at butterflies but I wasn't too keen on them actually touching me. :scared: OMG Lessa :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good question. I have no idea how the FP's work for Kim Possible. I think though that the Kim Possible FP system is probably separate from the other FP's. Not sure though, anybody out there know?

I was actually thinking of this some more tonight. I know for sure that getting a Kim Possible FP does not effect regular ride fast passes. I know this because we had grabbed the Test Track fast passes not even 20 minutes before getting the KP ones. Under regular FP rules we shouldn't have been able to get the KP ones so soon after that so that must mean that KP is its own separate system not reflecting on other rides. Make sense?

Good Morning!
So last night I went down to see the Fire Show which is part of the yearly Buskers Festival held here in town. I went with Alek, Erich and Erich's friend Jessie who just showed up at the house as we were leaving so we felt it rude not to invite him.
It was quite fun and entertaining, it is crazy what people will do with fire. The grand finale had a bit of excitement when one of the performers on a flaming pogo stick lost balance causing him to crash into two fire jugglers and then he and his flaming stick landed right on the edge of the crowd. :scared1:

In this act the one guy is juggling fire and his partner then take a running leap over his head and snatches all of the fire sticks from the air. Very impressive!

Yep, I was glad I figured out sunscreen was the problem before getting on the ship. Discovering the problem beforehand allowed me to pick up some new sunscreen without having to pay the outrageous prices I am sure they charge onboard.

Hi Lessa! I'm all caught up - I've been gone on a trip through the Desert.
I loved your updates!
1. I love churros - I know most people don't - the ones with custard in them are TDF!
2. Glad your mom got her brave on to ride EE! It's my new Fav!
3. You rode TT how many times? :worship: I like that one, but DH feels its a waste of time :goodvibes
4. Love the butterfly pics! I never think of them as "bugs" but I guess they are!
5. Like OMari, I'm waiting on that cruise too!
6. Glad you figured out the sunscreen rash. I have sensitive skin too, so I only use natural products from Arbonne.
Looking forward to your next installment!

We ended up riding Test Track 3 times. Normally I wouldn't have gone on it that many times but the first two times we were able to walk right on and then the third time was fast passed. Had to do something while waiting for World Showcase to open. ;)
It seems that my skin is becoming very sensitive with age. :sad2:

Believe me they do! On my first Disney cruise I realised that I had left mine in my hotel room at Walt Disney World, my only choice was to buy it at the gift shop on board.

It was rather sunny now and I was cursing myself for not going to the drug store that morning and buying sunscreen. I was just praying that I would not get funky tan lines. I am very careful about when and how I allow myself to tan. I was fortunate that day though and it appears the sun wasn't strong enough to do any damage to my tan. ;)

Our Test Track fastpass time had come up so we started to make our way back over. On the way I spotted The Jamminators out performing.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5109.jpg

http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5113.jpg
We had to stand in a bit of a line this time around. I think the wait was maybe 10 minutes with the fastpass. While standing in line Mom kept insisting that she saw a lady who was going to be on our cruise. Mom was debating whether to say something, good thing she didn't as it wasn't her. Don't know why Mom was so interested in this woman as they had never spoken to each other here on The Dis (Mom lurked on the cruise meet thread) and I didn't really participate in the cruise thread here on the Dis either so this lady would not have known who we were.
Anyways on with the ride!
We were loaded into our ride car and were off. We kept stopping randomly. Here's Mom while we were stopped for a couple minutes inside in the dark.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5114.jpg
And then here she is when we came to a stop on the outside ramp after zooming around at 60 MPH without her hair tied back.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5115.jpg
I think we were sitting outside for 5 minutes or so before we started moving again.
The ride photos were still not showing up so we went to the desk in the gift shop and asked to have it added to our photopass.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/Image308.jpg
We also asked her if our first ride photo would be in the database still (you will remember nobody had told us we could get it in the gift shop during our first ride). She said she could find it no problem. She flipped back to the photos from the beginning of the day, we pointed our photo out to her and we saw her add it to the card. Well somehow that picture never showed up in our account when we got home. I was very disappointed. Oh well.
We started to make our way over to World Showcase but first we walked through a gift shop where Mom saw a set of ears that she wanted to buy for herself.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5116.jpg
I think she wore them for a total of 10 minutes the whole trip. :sad2:

I think she was jealous of the cute ears that I bought the day before and she didn't want to feel left out. ;) Since she didn't wear them I will just have to confiscate them as my own for the next trip. That way I will have two pairs of ears to wear.

So would your Mom have told you off if you bought something and only wore it for 10 minutes? :lmao:

We were on our way to World Showcase but first I had to stop for some pictures. I was waiting for the monorail to come by but it never showed. I swear it felt like we waited there for half an hour at least!

Mom had not gone on the Gran Fiesta Tour back in 07 with Alek, Erich and I so we decided to go on it.

Next up was Norway!
We took some pictures across the lagoon while strolling along.

Mom and I finally got to ride Maelstorm. This is one of the few attractions was have never seen/been on. Lucky us there was no line. Walking in there was a mother with two daughters. Well I guess one of them got scared as she started screaming and crying and saying she didn't want to get on. The mom tried to force her on but she would not give in so she snatched her hand and stomped off. Well I was glad that we did not have to share a boat with them.
After the ride we decided to stop for the movie so I could rest my feet. I know everybody says to walk right through and not to stop, well they are right! So boring and it needs a major update. At least I got to rest my feet for a bit though. ;)
We browsed around the stores for a bit looking at all the insanely priced sweaters. Honestly, $500 for a sweater!
One of my goals of the trip was to get a snack from each country. Well I skipped the churro in Mexico but the Norway bakery was calling to me. I debated between the Sweet Pretzel or the Cloudberry Horn. I eventually decided on the Cloudberry Horn. OH MY GOD! This pastry was like heaven on earth! I hated having to share it with Mom it was that good. I savoured every last morsel of that sweet sweet dessert.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5146.jpg
People are always going on about the school bread in Norway yet I never hear anything about the Cloudberry horn which in my opinion is far superior to the school bread which I found very bland and boring when I had it in 07.
So my advise if you are getting a snack in Norway, go for the horn!

Alek here reporting what myself and Erich did while Mom and Lessa were on their vacation.
Well as you all know Erich and I are considered something close to gods around the world so the instant we told people we were having a house party THOUSANDS of people showed up.
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/bloc2.jpg
We started partying hard early into the day with all sorts of crazy shenanigans like jumping off trampolines into pools of jello that my good friend Irene Rosenfeld CEO of Kraft Foods Inc. brought over out of the sheer generosity of her heart
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/Jello.jpg
As things progressed people just got crazier and next thing you know topless men everywhere! Awwww YEA!!! :cool1:
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/coldie.jpg
Then OUT of nowhere... not sure how we didn't see it...possibly because we were mighty trashed a 90-foot tall pinata comes into view heres a picture of Erich imagining how much candy must be in it as he stares in awe.
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/awesome-2.jpg
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/pinata-1.jpg
So the after a while of incredible drunken wrecking ball pinata fun
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/2034521787_e2af71a190.jpg
Night time came and with night even more people kept coming it was getting out of hand!
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/aberdeen-street-party-homecoming-qu.jpg
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/crowd_Saturday_night.jpg
While as awesome as we are pushing 5000 people was getting a little bit crazy and things were getting knocked over and people were fighting then THIS guy showed up
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/n510308498_423928_3970.jpg
William Arthur Bostad IV quite possible the only human (?) to be more awesome then myself or Erich once he got there people stopped fighting and things became really awesome.
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/partyhardex0.jpg
After a bit some of my fellow Red lobster compatriots showed up and the Lobster Knife fights began (no animals were harmed in the making of awesome)
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/lobster-fightthumbnail.jpg
After a good 3 days of non-stop partying SOMEBODY had to go and ruin it
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/IMG_3589.jpg
Let this be a lesson to not Drink heavily after consuming 90 foot tall pinata full of candy while partying for 3 days straight!!
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i271/bobjoemac/n617345103_3255824_9606.jpg
So we dragged the poor guy outside and let him sleep it off. Everyone started to take off around this time but wow what a party!!! pirate:
Later that day we found Jurassic Park or something but thats another story

Um yep pretty much what Aberdeen looks like except picture all those people crammed onto a much smaller street and replace the giant pinata with a car that they had flipped and then set on fire. Canada's finest young minds! Well to be fair the people who did the car flipping/torching were actually local high school students and not my fellow Queen's students, thank goodness!

Okay well you have to pay attention to the detailing in the hallway they take you into while you wait. As you go down the hallway towards Pixie Hollow you will notice that the forest/garden decorations on the wall get bigger and bigger like you are "shrinking" so by the time you get into Pixie Hollow the mushrooms and flowers depicted on the walls would be as big as you because you are now "pixie" sized. So it is not something that the cast members do but more something you have to take in my observing the detailing.

Snow White was out for pictures but her line had just been cut-off and the character handler said she would not be back for an hour, well we would be long gone by then, bummer.
It was getting really hot now and my feet were killing me so while Mom wandered the shops and took pictures I went and got myself a soft pretzel and found myself a bench in the shade to relax on.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5174.jpg
The pretzel was really good, not overly salted like they usually are. It was just perfect!
Mom found me eventually and she bought a refreshing drink. It tasted like frozen lemonade but with alcohol! I have no idea what it is called.

I think on the 5 day cruise you get 2 days at Castaway Cay, one day in Nassau and then one sea day.

Leaving Germany we bypassed Italy for the moment as we needed to hustle over to America to catch the next performance of the Fire and Drum Corps and also the Voices of Liberty. We made it just in time! I had just finished watching the HBO mini-series John Adams before the trip so I was feeling all patriotic. And yes I can feel patriotic about American history as I am half American. lol

Spirt of America Fife and Drum Corps (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49DxWDz5tdU)
After their performance we made our way inside to wait for the Voices of Liberty to come out. We grabbed a spot on the floor. There is a circle on the floor and if you sit right on the edge you have the best view and also the best acoustics.

They sang quite a few songs but I only got these two on video. One of the men serenaded a woman sitting next to me, even took her hand. Well when he went to move away she wouldn't let go! lol
Here's some video
Voices of Liberty (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EjZzLwJAto)
and then them singing America the Beautiful (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvjYfrOhmVU)
They were wonderful and when they were done they came around to talk to the guests.
After the performance was over Mom and I went back over to Italy. Not sure why exactly, I think Mom wanted to look in the stores for something. I stayed outside and took pictures.

Mom came and found me once she was done browsing and we made our way over to Japan where we stopped and Mom bought me a Kaki Gori since I had bought the Cloudberry Horn and the pretzel.
As we approached the stand that sells the Kaki Gori I saw somebody that looked really familiar. I was 99% sure that it was a Diser whose trip report I had read back in 07 and I was also familiar with her from reading another of her reports on a different board. Well I decided to be daring and ask if she was who I thought she was.
So I tap her on the shoulder and say "Excuse me but are you Mandy?" Oh man did she looked freaked out that I knew who she was! lol I quickly explained who I was and gave her my screen name and then she realized who I was. lol It was such a random meeting and too funny.
We made sure to grab a picture to commemorate the occasion.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5201.jpg
We chatted until our respective treats were ready and then we parted ways.
Here I am with my cherry flavoured Kaki Gori
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5202.jpg
It was so delicious and very flavorful! I have had flavoured ice before and this was 100 times better. I chose the cherry flavour for two reasons. 1) Well I simply like cherry 2)It reminded me of the book and movie Memoirs of a Geisha where the Chairman buys Sayuri/Chiyo a cherry Kaki Gori!
So with yummy treat in hand we headed into the big store in Japan and browsed. I was making a bit of a mess trying to eat and walk around so I went outside to finish up my treat. Well it started to pour!
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5203.jpg
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5204.jpg
It lasted for a few minutes and then stopped.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5205.jpg
I went back inside and found Mom and we went to head out but it had started pouring again! So we decided to dally and went to look at the Tin Toy exhibit.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5207.jpg
We went back outside at this point and it was still coming down hard. I didn't want to go out in that so we sat down on the window ledge with all of the other people seeking shelter from the rain.
This storm was ridiculous, it was coming down so hard! Turns out that there were tornado warnings for the area that afternoon. Thank goodness I only learned this after the fact from Nichole as I would have been a bit freaked if I knew that then.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5210.jpg
In fact it was coming down so quickly that Japan began to flood! The water was coming up to peoples ankles and a little shop across the way from us was beginning to flood! The guests who had taken shelter in the store had to help out the CM and they had all grabbed whatever was handy to try and push the water out of the store.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5212.jpg
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5214.jpg
Eventually a CM showed up in big rain boots, gloves and sporting an umbrella. She had arrived to unclog a drain that was causing the flooding. She clearly was not janitorial staff as she was dressed way to nicely. She must have been the manager on duty. What a lovely job!
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5219.jpg
Here's a brief video of the guests efforts to keep the shop from flooding.
Japan Flooding (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ7nw8-dmr0)
I think we took shelter outside the big store in Japan for about half an hour or so. There were a lot of people under there with us. Some of them were young guys traveling with a school group and they were due to perform in Downtown Disney later that week.
The rain was just coming down so hard and the flooding and huge puddle just made me not want to move at all. Disney really needs to work on the drainage problem at Epcot as this is not the only time we have experienced big problems with the drainage during a rainstorm.

I was grateful that we were "trapped" somewhere that offered lots of shelter and it was amusing watching the struggles in the shop across the way to keep the water out.

Yummm! that Kaki Gori looks really good. We noticed in Okinawa that fruit flavored things tasted really fresh and well, "real" compared to the icky fake fruit flavors here in the U.S.
I think that rain storm was to give you the true Japan experience :rotfl2: That happened to us at Epcot, too - I just thought it was the clouds - didn't think about drain improvements. :rolleyes1

Yes, it tasted much nicer and "real" compared to other flavoured ices I have had in the States. Also the flavour was spread all throughout the ice instead of it just being on top and then flavourless once you get to the center and bottom. Very very good!

I was grateful that we were "trapped" somewhere that offered lots of shelter and it was amusing watching the struggles in the shop across the way to keep the water out.

Disney really needs to work on the drainage problem at Epcot as this is not the only time we have experienced big problems with the drainage during a rainstorm.

Ok--Claire's down for a nap and I was able to share your videos with Ally! She really enjoyed them! When we got to the Voices of Liberty ones Ally said, "That's where we got to be dry!" Yep, we got a break from the rain to see them sing!! We can't wait to show these to Brent tonight since he didn't get to see this! Thanks for posting them!!

that was a funny flooding story, nice job using what they had to try and stop the problem.
 Yeah they were very creative. I felt bad for the guests who sought shelter there thinking they would stay dry. :rotfl:
Have you been on any other cruises besides a Disney cruise? Just wondering what you thought about them...
Thank you, Stacy
Nope this was our first cruise ever! :thumbsup2
Does anyone else find it ironic that the CM was using a "Caution - Wet Floor" sign to divert the water!? :lmao:
I loved the VOL video. I heard them sing The Star Spangled Banner and I nearly cried my eyes out. They are truly amazing. check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErV-Fmviebo
Great job so far.... I am loving your report!!
I did find that rather funny with the wet floor sign.
Amazing video!
You weren't kidding when you said you have some bad luck with Disney and rain!! I can't believe how deep that got! Insane!

OMG :scared1:! That was some rain and flooding in Japan. The poor CM trying to unclogg the drain. That is what HS looked was like on our day there. The park was above ankle deep in some places. Anyway great WS pics. Kaylee and I meant to try a Kaki Gori but never had a chance. It looks yummy though.
Yeah, I felt bad for her, did not look like a very pleasant job. :scared:
Hi Lessa I tooo experienced the flooding at Epcot not sure if the same day but the drainage needs work for sure !!!

We got to see the Voices of Liberty, too! (Well, Ally and I did at least) I didn't get any pics b/c Brent was outside with a sleeping Claire--I might borrow some of your pics if you don't mind. They were FABULOUS! Sent chills up my spine! Great pics of the rain! I didn't get any of that either as I was too afraid that I might get my camera wet. I'll have to show Ally your videos--she'll love them!! Can't wait to hear more!

I know what you mean about the kids being too young. When my brothers and I were little we moved a lot due to my dad's job in the Navy and we always drove when we moved. Our parents took us to all these historical sites and national parks and we had no appreciation and well we don't really remember much now anyways.

Yes it was definitely very nice of the guests to try and help the CM too bad it was a losing battle. It is a good thing that the main store in Japan is on a bit of an incline or else it would have flooded as well. Luckily the flood waters never reached Mom and I in our shelter.
Back in July 07 we got caught in a huge rain storm in Epcot and we had only one poncho among the four of us. We were at Universe of Energy and had to make it all the way to Italy for a dinner reservation. Alek and Erich decided to sacrifice themselves and ran pretty much all the way across Epcot while Mom and I shuffled our way over while trying to share the poncho (we were both wearing white). Anyways I don't know how they managed to run there so quickly as the flooding that day was nearly as bad as it was that day in Japan. :sad2:

I loved your video of Voices of Liberty. We waited out the storm in Japan, no way I was going out in that! I think we were "stuck" there for 30-45 minutes. It was a good long while. Eventually the rain stopped so we hesitantly made our way out from our shelter. The skies were still looking pretty threatening so we made sure to wear our ponchos just in case.
There were some lovely bonsai displays set up for the Flower and Garden Festival so I went over to check them out and to take pictures. It was spitting rain still so I was trying to be careful with the camera.

We decided to make our way over to Canada as that was the only pavilion we had not yet visited on this trip.
As we were walking through England I noticed the tea garden display. It was too cute! The tea plants were planted in tea cup shaped planters!
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5225.jpg
As we were approaching Canada it started to POUR again. We hustled into the gift shop, browsed around and then decided to go catch the O Canada movie. I just love the song that Eva Avila (Canadian Idol) sings during the movie. Here's a video I found of the song on YouTube.
Canada You're a Lifetime Journey (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHgdXLQNKPc)
The movie was great, funny and beautiful, not a snoozefest like the France and Norway films.
It was still pouring like crazy when we exited from the movie so we grabbed a seat in the Kidcot/exit area and just looked out at the rain.
Victoria Gardens based off of the lovely Butchart Gardens that are located in Victoria, British Columbia.

Mom and I were pretty much just killing time now, we had an ADR at Chefs de France for 4:50 and it was right around 3:30. We sat there for a while and finally figured the rain was not going to let up so we decided to not just sit around wasting time.

We went over to England and browsed through the shops there. I found a book on Arthurian legends that looked interesting, I am a big King Arthur buff. I took a picture of it so I could remember to look it up once I got home.
We continued to loiter around the stores while I took pictures.

Bored with the UK stores we decided to just go hang out in France until our ADR time.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5241.jpg
We hung out in the library for a little bit. There was a photopass photographer in there and she quizzed me on the book titles to see if I could translate the French. I of course was able to translate all of them. ;P
It was 20 minutes out from our ADR now and people were beginning to crowd under the entrance awning to Chefs de France so Mom and I figured we better get over there and reserve our spot in the check-in line if we didn't want to have to fight through all the people.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5244.jpg
It was packed by the time the Chefs CM's came out to start checking people in. They pulled a podium out into the middle of the sea of people and had a CM positioned there who would check your name off on the list to verify you were there. Then a few minutes later a host came out and started calling names. Mom and I were the second group to be seated.
It was lovely inside and we got a table right next to the windows.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5245.jpg
We did not order appetizers as they provide you with rolls.
I am pretty sure this is what Mom ordered
Bouillabaisse - sauteed scallops, mahi mahi and black tiger shrimp served in a saffron seafood broth with potatoes and fennel
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5248.jpg
She also ordered a glass of wine as you can see in the picture. I just had water with my meal but I did take a few sips of the wine. It was very good, Mom had the waiter bring her a wine he thought would best compliment her meal and he did an excellent job!
I of course had the Gratin de macaroni - Baked macaroni with cream and gruyere cheese
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5249.jpg
OH MY GOSH! SO SO GOOD! This was a day chock full of gastronomic delights! It was sinfully delicious, rich and creamy and just perfect!
While eating I spied the "chef" making his way around the room checking to make sure that everybody was enjoying their meals.

Remy eventually made it to our table and he was so cute! He moves around and squeaks as though he is talking to you. It is too bad that he is only going to be there until September, such a nice touch!
Mom says in this picture he was whispering sweet nothings to her.

We bid adieu to Remy and finished up our entrees. We decided to make our meal even more decadent and ordered dessert which we do not usually do.
Not sure what Mom's dessert was called
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5255.jpg
I had the Creme Brulee, it was the first time I have ever had this dessert. It was good.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5256.jpg
This was the priciest meal we had on the trip but my was it good! Totally worth the splurge.
Our tummies pleasantly full and our taste buds satisfied we made our way out of the restaurant. It had stopped raining again so no need for the ponchos.

You're pix came out so good. The picture of your mom's meal at Chefs looks like it came right out of a food magazine. It's so sharp and clear.
that mac and cheese looks decadent. I don't know how else to describe how it looks.

Sorry to hear that the down pours continued :( On our trip to the world in 2007 which was the last week in May and the first week of June. It poured like that and it made for a miserable trip! We didn't stop our plans though we braved it with the ponchos just like you and your Mom. By the time the day was over and we got back to our room though we all felt so tired and dirty !
Beautiful pictures of the bonsai trees in Japan . The teacups in the UK were just adorable weren't they ? Les Chefs de France looks like a great place to eat and that macaroni , oh my what can say but I want some right now ! LOL Remy was also super cute ! :cutie:

Are you signed up to receive offers from Disney? You should go to their website and order a Planning DVD and click the box saying you would like to receive e-mail/mail from them to make sure that you are in their system.

Hi, Leesa!! Great update!!
I agree with you about the Canada film! I loved watching it last time we were there. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely makes me want to visit Canada sometime! We've not seen the France or Norway films, so I'll make sure to skip them now that I hear they're boring!!
I'm SO jealous that y'all got to see Remy! He is so cute, and is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, when he stops coming out is like a week before our trip...Just my luck!!! Chef's looked really good. I'll have to put it on my list of restaurants to try in the future!

After dinner we decided to call it quits and started to head out of the park. We did grab a quick photopass picture before leaving France.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/Image314.jpg
It wasn't raining and the ponchos had dried out during dinner so we packed them away, figured we were safe from the rain until we got to the car and would not need them.
We were walking by Spaceship Earth so I dragged Mom on that before leaving. I had a lot of fun creating "our future". Now they take your picture as you are climbing the hill, Mom knew this because we rode it last year and I also reminded her again this year. Well once again she did not smile for the camera and ended up with a bad (she looks bored) picture. I died laughing when it showed up on our screen. :lmao:

When we got off the ride we played with some of the games that they have in the exit area which test your memory and reflexes. We also sent Alek and Erich some e-mail postcards.

Alek said that he only got the one with the surfboards.
The night was still young and the rain was holding off so Mom and I took the opportunity of returning to Downtown Disney. Mom wanted to check out the Cirque du Soleil gift shop and she was also going to buy me an early birthday present.
We parked out on the West Side and browsed around all the shops over there. I spotted Wetzel's Pretzels but I was way too full to even contemplate getting the pizza pretzal I had planned on. Oh well, next time!
We passed the Characters In Flight balloon that Mom had wanted to go up in, guess that wasn't going to happen this trip. We should have done it that first day we arrived and went to Downtown Disney. You live, you learn.
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5289.jpg
We then walked through Pleasure Island to get to the Marketplace. They had a DJ playing music and he was announcing a dance party that was going to be held in an hours time. Downtown Disney and especially the Pleasure Island area were packed this night. :confused3
We made it over to the Marketplace and went over to the new T-Rex restaurant to check it out and look in the gift shop. It was packed in there, and loud! There was a line of people going out the door waiting to check-in for a table. The restaurant looked really cool but I am kinda glad I canceled our reservation here. I think we'll try eating there in a few years once the hype and novelty have died down a bit.
Since we weren't trying to eat there we were able to walk right into the gift shop. They had a really cute Build-A-Dino area (same as Build-A-Bear but with dinosaurs). As you can probably guess it was busy back there, big hit with the young and old alike.
I bought myself a neat cheap little nick-nack for my desk. It is a gemstone tree sitting on a crystal. Very pretty and the right price, under $10!

Our destination was the Tren-D store. Mom was going to buy me the Tink pillow I had been lusting over for the past couple days. It was going to be an early birthday present for me. (PS My birthday is Thursday, presents are welcome, Disney gift cards would be best, PM me for my shipping address. :cutie:). ;)
And here's my pillow! Isn't it pretty!?
http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll421/polnickyhunt/Disney%20May%202009/May%2020th%20-%20Epcot/D5302.jpg
Mom also bought a few things in the store. We had the cashier double bag the pillow as it was starting to rain again and we did not want it to get wet.
We wandered over to Goofy's Candy Company because I wanted to get some pretzel rods made but they were crazy busy in there so I passed as I did not feel like waiting around.
My feet were begging to go back to the room by now, well more like they were screaming at me to get back to the room. It started to pour again as we were crossing Pleasure Island to get back to the car, good thing we double bagged our purchases and had put on our ponchos!
Back in the room for the night I got all comfy in my pj's, massaged my poor feet and watched Pirates of the Caribbean as it was on tv. Another early night to bed for us!

I think the best time to go to DTD is first thing in the morning or in the early afternoon. I have found it really busy whenever we have gone in the evening.

I remember that, maybe they have added new futures to mix things up.

I call this my "Window Series" :lmao:
The Window series looks great! Does the rain ever stop on this trip? Remy looks neat. Looks like we are not going to see him anytime soon

Hey Guys! I'm back from my trip which was tons of fun. Got lots of fun and goofy pictures of my brothers and cousins. Once I get them all uploaded and edited I will share a few. ;) Also look for the next WDW TR update on Monday as business will be back to normal.

Toledo Visit
The plan was to leave for Toledo on Monday morning when I got off work at 8am, it is about a 7 hour drive from where we live. After Mom and Erich picked me up from work we got Alek from his apartment and stopped at the bank quickly so he and Erich could get some American money. It was at this point that I asked Alek if he had remembered to pack his passport, of course he hadn't! Good thing I asked, would not have been funny if we had driven 6 hours to the border only to get turned away. Back to the apartment to retrieve the passport followed by quick stops at McDonald's and then the gas station and we were finally off, only an hour after we were originally set to leave.
We decided to stop at the Rainforest Cafe in Toronto for lunch. It is located right off the highway at the massive Yorkdale Mall. We had eaten at one many years ago in Virginia Beach so it was almost like it was a first visit for us.
We got seated in the gorilla section and were told that the thunderstorm occurred every 30 minutes.
Alek and Erich though the ketchup and mustard bottles were hilarious. Apparently Heinz ketchup is celebrating 100 years in Canada but mustard hasn't been around that long??? Alek and Erich thought that was worthy of a photo.

We decided to get up and take some pictures while waiting for our food. I am sure that the other people in the restaurant thought there was something wrong with us. lol

The bar stools are made to look like animal butts, so of course we had to take a picture.

Lunch was okay, dessert however was so yummy! We ordered the volcano dessert to share. It was two slices of brownie cake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate and caramel sauces. Delicious!
