Okay. I already know my dates for the last trip in 2010. I'll tell them to you in a PM. I'm not renewing the AP's that year. We want to do a Disney cruise instead. (And perhaps somewhere besides Florida. LOL) Yep....Sidney spells Disney...I told him we should legally change his last name. Disney is much better than the one we have now. :rolleyes:

I am back and I am going to finish no matter what! Got some good news today! I checked the mail and found a pin card for free dining. The regular free dining. I had booked already for the QS dining plan but now that we have this card I figured why not go ahead and upgrade. The kids laughed and said, "Yeah we can eat at Chef Mickey's and Teppan Edo every night!" Well the bad part is I have to plan out 14 nights worth of dining on the way down to WDW so I can book my ADR's on whatever day I'm allowed to. See, I don't even know the date! Pitiful huh? I should find that out. At least now we can try to make it to the Christmas show again. Missed it last year. That's another thing. I need to see who is reading. Ahhhh. As if I don't have enough to do in the next 72 hours! So...if anyone going in December wants to meet up for dinner one night lmk!

Okay...back to EMH at the MK. We were walking the "hidden" path back towards the back side of the castle and we saw Pluto meeting people. Well, on the other side was Mickey and Minnie. The line was pretty long though. I stood there with the baby while Sidney took the kids to ride the horses. It was almost closing time and this would be the last ride of the trip! We exited the park, went back to CSR and cried for hours! Just kidding. I do have a partial day coming up, sort of. We still have food left over. OMG I almost forgot something!!! Okay, those of you who have been reading for me a while know I had a bag stolen at CSR a couple of years ago. Which made me very untrustworthy of the resort so I was constantly making sure my truck and room was locked up tight. Well...after we had dinner at CSR I never went back to the room. I was taking pictures of the sunset. Well the room was left open!!! You know the little bar that keeps the door cracked!? LEFT OPEN! I blame Sidney! It had to be him. Surprisingly, no one entered the room. If they did they didn't take anything. I was so mad at him it wasn't even funny. To think of the stuff someone could have taken! OMG!!!! Of course maybe Sidney DID in fact lock the door! Now THAT would be scary!

We've stayed seven times at the CSR (number eight is in 4 weeks and 1 day) and never been for a convention. It really is as beautiful as Tammy's pictures show.

OMG girl I've been so busy too ! This is the first time I have even been on the boards in a couple of weeks . Getting the kiddies ready for school and spending all our time outside now that is summer , has aloud me no time to dis ! We had planned to sleep in up 'til the last minute but the maid decided it'd be fun to bang on our door over and over and over again! Hey jerk face ~ check out time is 11:00 not 9:00!!!! I wanted to smack the heck out of him. At 10:59 we left CSR. I always take pictures of the rooms before I leave just in case. Once we stayed at this place in NC and they tried to charge us $ for pen marks on a bedspread. Well I never use hotel bedding. EVER! First thing I do is remove it all once we enter the room and set it in the closet. Of course I had pictures of this and my CC removed the charges. Turns out in that case the place had many reports such as this where they had tried to scam people. So now I just document it all just to be safe. Luckily then I had taken pictures of the kids in the room and it showed my bedding being used.

After leaving CSR we still had some meal credits left and we had remembered how yummy the AKL food was. We headed over there. This time getting in was not a problem. Last time we were allowed in because Britney Spears was staying there. Oh please. Looking back that was so messed up. The gatekeeper was so rude! Ugh!

Look at the view. The parking lot. Ick. You would think they'd put the kids club area or something here. Today happened to be the day I was able to make my dining reservations for the August trip. I probably should have gotten up early and called but I was so tired. I ended up having to make Chef Mickey's on the second night. The first night was all booked up. Oh well. Sidney ordered the food while I waited, and waited, and waited some more for the dining people to come on. We got some pepperoni flatbread and two orders of fried shrimp. The shrimp are so yummy over there! OMG. And of course zebra domes for dessert.

I stayed here while Sidney and Gabby ran back to the MK. The night before she wanted a turkey leg really bad and they were all out. A CM got on the radio and tried to find her a turkey leg and there wasn't a single one on the MK property. The CM gave her a little voucher for a free turkey leg the next day. Plus I had the Disney Visa rewards card and it had some $ on it. I had seen some earrings I wanted so I told Sidney to grab them for me. I was still on the phone with the dining people! Thankfully they've come to realize 90 day ADR's are a bad idea! Anyway, I'm sitting here in the 30 minute parking area and I saw several people pull up with their swim gear and head into the Poly. Evidently they don't check ID. We stayed there last Summer and the only time we were asked to show our key was for the life jackets. Sidney and DD ended up taking about 45 minutes because the monorail broke down.

I loved the pics of Mickey and Minnie at the castle. In all the TRs I have read, I have never seen them there. I love to see something new! Have you guys ever done the water parks? That is one thing that I rarely see in anyone's TR. I think pmama's TR is the only one I have read with WP pictures. Wonder why that is? Thanks everyone for reading along and for all the sweet comments. I wish I had time to write everyone back righ now but we leave for Disney in a few hours and I really need to sleep. When I get back I'll write up a little memoir of the trip and answer any questions you guys asked. Those of you coming to WDW next week....CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE YOU!!!!! We're going to have a blast! Second request Aug. 23rd My fav food is the Cream Corn Pudding , they serve at the Hollywood and Vine . I first tasted it on our trip in 2007 and have been in love ever since , making ressies there in 08' and 09' just so I could have the corn ! LOL I couldn't find a picture , so the recipe will have to do :)

Recipes
Creamed Corn Spoon Bread
Hollywood & Vine

INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ Cups Cornmeal
1 Cup Buttermilk
8 T Sugar
1 ½ Cups Corn (Frozen Kernels)
2 T Baking Powder
1 Cup Milk
1 tsp. Salt
¼ Cup Butter


Any Creamed Corn (Heated) 3 Cups

METHOD:

Add dry ingredients to liquid and mix together until well blended. Pour into well greased pan (9” x 13”) and place in steamer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Top with creamed corn and serve.

NOTE: Most homes do not have a steamer - you will have to use a double boiler and still cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

I'm a day behind already on the Q & A game, but I'll try to stay up withit for now on. My favorite food at WDW is the Mickey Waffles. I think they're cute. We don't eat hot breakfasts much at home, so waffles are a treat when we go to 1900 Park Fare's breakfast. I like to add strawberry sauce and sometime whipped cream. Aug 29th ~ your favorite park and why Epcot, it holds a lot of special memories for me.

Aug 30th ~ if you could tour WDW with one celebrity who would it be John Stamos or Lou Mongello. John because he's such a Disney fan and collector. Lou because he know so much trivia I'd learn a lot.

My favorite memory of Disney World is the look in my daughters eyes the first time they saw Cinderella . It was so special. they of course had their Cinderella dresses and had their Disney dolls also dressed like Cinderella.

Favorite Memory:

I think it was after DD's BBB apointment last trip. We found Cinderella's horse and and I told Maddie that it was Cinderella's and started snapping her picture. She only seemed mildy impressed - LOL! That was until the CM for the carosel came by and said "Cinderella, you found your horse!"" Her eyes lit up like I have never seen - it was so awesome I got teary eyed.

Oops missed a day. Aug. 29th- My favorite park is Epcot. I love the World ?Show Case. And of course as a teacher, there's so much to learn in Epcot. My girls love it too.
Aug. 30th- The celebrity that I would choose to tour Disney with is Kate Gosslin and all her kids. i know she loves Disney as much as we do and I bet it would be a lot of fun to go with such a large group of kids. My girls would go too of course!

Gosh, favorite memories are hard, because I love them all. I have several. When my older two were young and I took them I would say just the looks on there faces walking in to each park.
With Claire it's all been great, but the most recent great memories are BBB and Wonderland tea party.

Next trip, I would like to do a party, but I don;t think they wil lbe offereing one if we go in March again. I also would really like to try the keys to the kingdom tour.


Favorite character. ...I'll go with my favorite as a kid. Pooh! I just loved him.


Favorite show..I love the Lion King. We jsut saw it for the 1st time last trip and I was in awe!

Mk is my park! I just love it there, but stil lhate to miss any of the others!

I don't have a particular drink that is my favorite at WDW . Were good though as long as it's not a Coke product , I just do not like the taste of there soda's at all !!! So I guess that would make my favorite drink anything that doesn't consist of Coke products , which is hard to find at WDW !

This is in Down Town Disney. We visited with their BFFS that moved to Florida. They had not seen each other for 2 years, but you'd never know it.

If I could bring one thing back to Disney it would be the Wonders of Life Pavilion at Epcot. that would at least give another spot in future World for all then people on a hot summer day!

If I could change one thing it would be to add more countries into the World Showcase in Epcot. ( Can you see that I really do love Epcot?)

(Would have been okay to leave on Day 10 but by Day 12 I was like WTH was I thinking staying this long!???)

We had a blast though and I got to meet so many cool Diser's! That was the best part! I had planned on not doing a TR at all but we did so many new things you guys have to see. I think I'll do a small one with just the highlights. Sweet, short, and fast! :laughing: Just give me a few days. I'll post a link here when I start it up.

Hello everyone. I'm not doing a trip report for this past trip we took in Aug/Sept but I am finishing up my 365 Days of Disney Dining food report. I hope some of you will join me over there. I have a lot of good eats coming up and a little extra here and there.

Although we decided not to do another TR I do want to share our Grand Gathering experience with people since it's so hard to find information on those things.
