No this current one is in Aug, Sept, and the beginning of Oct. Last year I got a pin for free dining that lasted all the way through Christmas!
I thought free dining was always in September or August but now I know better . That one that you got last year would probably work perfect for us . When u say pin code do you have to be annual pass holder to get those codes ?
The Halloween party starts this year on Sept 4Th so we will be doing that on our last free dining day
That's awesome the Halloween Party looks like some much fun and to get free dinning on top of that , is just an incredible deal !
We like the Halloween party the best. Both are cute but Halloween is just more fun!
I was just thinking Christmas because of all the resorts being decorated & the parks plus the Party . Do the resorts decorate for Halloween ?
My kids refused to go meet him.
My Bestie's DD that's 5 absolutely loves Hannah Montana , so that's why they went . LOL
I read it all the time. Sometimes I post a comment and it wont go through and Dis freezes up. Makes me crazy. Does it all the time here lately.
Oh OK , don't I feel silly then always telling you to stop by then . LOL I never have problems w/ it freezing up , it's problems w/ it logging me out when I'm in the middle of something. LOL

I did copy and paste and copy and paste and copy and paste:confused3. I'm going try again.
You got it!!! Now you have a ticker!!!
All Star Sports look cute! The pools at Pop are better though. I can't believe how empty those pics :goodvibes. I usually don't like value resorts because they are so busy and not relaxing enough for Tom and I. But it looks nice and quiet. Kaylee even said she liked it and she is monorail snob.
Pop is much better in the pool department. We rarely use the pools though so we don't really care about it all that much. Go at the right time and any resort will be empty like that. I can't imagine going to WDW during the Summer or Christmas week. I would hate it!
I loved our MK view, the pool, and the location of our Poly room but the room itself was so old and run down. I did not care for it at all. I like brand new places. You could tell the Poly was O L D ! I'm thinking we might choose BLT or GF over Poly and Cont when we do a monorail resort again.
I still hate the All Stars! :rotfl:
I wish I could remember to take as many pictures of the resort like you do. That does look like a fun theming area.
I wanted to see your hotel in California!
Wow, looks like you pretty much had the resort to yourselves!
Pretty much...until the weekend anyway. EVen then it was still slow in comparison to our other visits.
Fun pictures of All Star Sports! When we stayed there we were in the surf area. Brings back memories from that trip!
Before this trip it had been about 10 years or more since our last visit. Back then the rooms were not as cute! I don't even remember the section. I'd like to say basketball. The front of it not back in the swamp. All I remember about that trip was some id sitting out front of our room playing with a sword!? A real sword! :rotfl2:
I enjoyed your pictures of AS Sports, my son would love it there. We have stayed at Movies and Pop, maybe we will try something different next time.
All Stars and Pop are perfect for kids. I like the big oversized props. Of course I'm a big kid. :goodvibes I think they did a great job on the inside of the All Star rooms when they refurbed them.
As always, awesome pictures. It does looks pretty quiet there. We stayed at Sports once but we were by the Might Ducks. It wasn't near as cool as where you were. It was really busy - that was the trip that Joe decided that we wouldn't stay in a value again. I wish he would reconsider but its not working so far. I could do a lot of shopping with the extra $$.
When you go for a long trip....7-10 days the difference in price is up there. You could do a lot of shopping (or another trip) with the money you save. As long as I'm on Disney property I'm good. :goodvibes
Wow, I can't believe there's like no one there!
Ew, the pool does look boring!
Hey....you'll be at WDW in a couple of days! :woohoo:

Last years pin was a Disney Visa code. Passholders don't get free dining offers, just room discounts. With any free dining offer you have to buy a ticket.
There was a HM impersonator at Broadway too. I wonder if they went by to see her? I hear this kid is pretty good. Yam know Billy Ray's son (the one that's the same age as Miley) was born here in Myrtle Beach. They live in Texas now. I think it's crappy how he treats that boy.
Hopefully after last nights Dis update things will run better.
Great update :thumbsup2 Cute video form Space Ship Earth , I would have even know that they had that cause I had my eyes closed the entire ride this year because I was so sick , I practically jumped off the ride at the end . LOL
Loved the All Star Sports pictures, can't wait to see more of the resort !
The video is so cool! I'm glad they added it. I was really sick at Disney once and it was not fun!
OMG wow the resort really was empty! Shocking!
I was in the football section when i stayed there in 2005 :thumbsup2
I have to say....this trip was a quiet one. I didn't see many people at Coronado Springs either. What few people we did see were extremely tall basketball players. I'm 5'9 and felt like a midget! :rotfl:
Great pictures of All Star Sports! :thumbsup2 I always felt the theming wouldn't appeal to me but it looks really cute from your pictures! And your DD is just a doll!
Aww. Thanks.
I wish the rooms at Pop looked as cute as the ones at ASSports! I loved having the coat rack. Nice little touch.
Seeing those pictures make me feel better too, if we evr have to stay there. I just don't care for sports and I thought it would be so ugly, but it really isn't too bad compared to other pics I've seen.
The rooms are really cute. NOT the All Star movies...those are hideous but the sporrts and music rooms are cute. I like the silver accents and the new table and chairs are really cute!
Finally caught up!!! Going back to read your March report now!!!!

We were ready to hit the Magic Kingdom! We weren't staying long so we parked at the Polynesian. I saw this bar and thought of Heather. Not sure why....um, Lapu Lapu maybe? LOL I can't wait 'til December! I took pictures since breakfast was over and things were seriously quiet over there. We love O'Hana!

Then I got one of the grounds. I love this place...it looks like my yard! (But on a much bigger scale of course!) I love a tropical landscape! Mix palms with bromeliads and it's gorgeous! In another 15 years our place will look like a jungle!
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st61.jpg
Look at this place! No people. This is the slowest I have ever seen the Polynesian! When we stayed here last Summer hardly anyone was there but this...fairly early in the day!? It's usually packed with people waiting for the Lilo and Stitch breakfast!

We stopped in the shop for a few. I wanted to show Sidney the monorail thing they sell for the computer. It's so cute but very overpriced so we didn't get it. I never noticed all the cute props in the store 'til now. Aren't they cute? Gabby saw a Tink necklace and fell in love with it. She ended up buying it but it was only like $9. Not too bad.

We stopped at the Grand Floridian for a minute. I wanted to see if the basin was running any specials. We're all big fans of the bath bombs. They make your skin so soft! I'll need to replenish my stash come August.
The sun came out for a bit so we sat on the patio and enjoyed the view. I took a couple of pics of the kids out there....

We did Kim Possible in Norway as well -- I was thinking the same thing about the shops! LOL They wanted to get us parents inside so we'd spend some $$$!
We love Maelstrom, too -- I just wish it was longer -- every single time, I think, "That's it?"
I totally agree! MORE!
Ugghhh -- that sounds like one doozy of a rainstorm!!! Girl...it was awful! We had a similar experience in Pizzafari that involved rain and a character meet right where our table was located. :headache: OMG....when we ate at Pizzafari back in March they did a character greet right outside the door where I sat. I was in that back room that opens to the outside. Well, that darn black monkey came out and scared the heck out of me!!! I bet when it's busy and she comes out things get crazy! Is that where you were?
I love the location of the Mexico restaurant, too, but the menu doesn't thrill me -- give me the Mexican counter service anyday!
Um, just give me the Margarita stand and I'm good. :lmao: If it's not a plain taco with cheese or nachos with cheese and jalapenos I don't want it! LOL

Last years pin was a Disney Visa code. Pass holders don't get free dining offers, just room discounts. With any free dining offer you have to buy a ticket.
There was a HM impersonator at Broadway too. I wonder if they went by to see her? I hear this kid is pretty good. Ya know Billy Ray's son (the one that's the same age as Miley) was born here in Myrtle Beach. They live in Texas now. I think it's crappy how he treats that boy.
Hopefully after last nights Dis update things will run better.
The video is so cool! I'm glad they added it. I was really sick at Disney once and it was not fun!
We don't have either a Disney Visa or annual pass . So I guess we are only eligible for the discounts they offer the general public , if only they would do the military discount again , then we may be able to go again sooner .
They didn't say anything about seeing a HM impersonator at Broadway but they could have. Oh know I didn't know he had a son the same age as Miley , I don't know much about HM yet cause DD is only 3 .LOL
I hope the dis does run better it seems like a lot of people had trouble with it lately , guess I was just one of the lucky ones that did not .
Yeah , I tend to get sick at WDW and on the way there a lot ! I have terrible motion sickness , so I try to avoid the rides that I know will trigger it, even the bus at WDW makes me sick ! LOL
Love the added pictures of All Star Sports ! DD is quite the model and I love her pigtails !
Great start to MK day ! We love the Poly, maybe one day we will get to stay there! We ate at Kona for the first time this year and it is now our favorite, service was outstanding and the food was delicious ! Ohana is also another one of our fav's . Can't say much for the GF , I don't care for the atmosphere that much and we had terrible service and food at both there restaurants this year . Cute pictures of DS and DD at the GF though !

OMG I swear to God I was thinking of you earlier today!!! I was picking weeds out of my flowers and came across a "palm tree" weed. It was one of those baby palms like I sent you. :goodvibes Forget you!? LOL Are you kidding me? NEVER!
WELCOME BACK!!! I'm so glad you're back!!! :woohoo:
Now WTH are you talking about? Stalker drama!? On here or in real life somewhere? That's crazy! Pull out the shotgun girl! PM me if you have to but I hope everything is good now. AND if you finish your trip report I will totally read! I was like where the heck did she go!? I had swapped laptops so I didn't have your email or anything. And after I sent the palms I no longer had your address either. We have to swap #'s!
I'll PM you after I get my daughter off to dance this morning. It started here and trickled into my real life. :scared1: All is well now but scared the crap out of me for sure! Wont bore your readers with it. Now I'm just excited to be back. :)

We get to the MK and it looked to be CROWDED! I'm so not loving the looks of this! The rain stops for five minutes and poof ~ a million people!

I don't know about this....I'm wondering if it's crazy crowded like this everywhere!? We had plans to go back to Epcot so I figured we could deal with this for a few minutes...

Love the Poly pictures. I forgot to stop in basin this trip :guilty: I love the bath bombs! Kaylee has that Mickey personal assistant in your pic :goodvibes.
I still have a few left from the last trip. I'll need more by August though. The PA looks cute but my kids would play with it for 5 minutes then throw it out. I would have loved that thing as a kid!
Ahhh, what a lovely quiet morning at the Poly! I have never seen it when there isn't a mob of people milling around.
Me either! This was a first for me. It's usually slammed with people all the time!

Um, I have no money and we stayed there last Summer. We stayed 2 nights out of 12 or 13? Heck I don't even remember now but just go and stay there 1-2 nights. Okay...I just swiped my photopass pictures. I didn't buy a PP this time because we bought one back in March and had all of the F & G borders already. And good thing too...I only got like 100 pics total! I thought I'd regret it because they'd have cool Star Wars Weekend borders but they didn't. There was only one border for SWW! ONE! Please. That just sucks! They had the other two SW borders you get anytime they take a pic over there but the only SWW was this..
:darth: SNEAK PEEK * SPOLIER ALERT! :yoda:

Yes, the pictures are small because I didn't get a pass but I don't care. They're hard to print with a border anyway and I have my own set with my camera. This works out just fine. ;) Cute little keepsake size...
So the only thing I've gotten to so far is Pooh and friends. Here are the photopass pictures from that meet.

Great updates! Love all the PP pics! still trying to catch up on all these threads! I was gone most of the weekend helping run a model train show my father was in charge of because he got really sick friday night wound up in the hospital his sugar was down to 49 and he had vertigo on top of it! Not good and they released him early the next morning when they got his sugar stabilized after numerous bags of sugar water! He insisted on going so it was kinda a family event this time me and mom try to avoid these things! I grew up around them ! Met many good friends also! My DH and DS usually go but we all had to so we could make sure Dad wasn't doing anything he wasn't suppose to be! Plus he's not allowed to drive for a week! Just to be sure everything is good! So it was a long long weekend!

Yes! I had the same reaction when I heard! He was sick for a few days throwing up etc.. so they said that attributed to it being so low! So he seems to be doing ok as of now! He just turned 62 in May and he's had sugar problems for the last few years but theyve recently gotten worse.

Yes there is Dramamine but , I would probably have to take it everyday , cause I never know when any type of Vehicle Ride or any moving thing might make me sick . LOL They do still have a military offer going on but u can only use the tickets and 40% off your room once as far as I know and we used it back in April & May .
We ate lunch at Kona and we had the most attentive waitress and DD has food allergies and there Chef was the best w/ her ! Not to mention the food was to die for . LOL Yeah have to agree w/ u there the only thing eatable at 1900 Park Fare is the bread & dessert . LOL
Great update , from your pictures it did seem a little over crowded that day ! I love all the pictures from the Train , we never get to ride it cause it's a little hard folding up 2 strollers and then holding them and 3 kids while we ride , oh well one day we will get to when the kiddies are older :thumbsup2 The photo pass pictures are all adorable .:cutie:

Kaylee has that Mickey's personal assistant. She writes messages on it, stores her friends phone numbers and emails. It has a little pen thing with it. Thomas is always stealing it from here. Also it has a Fastpass timer.
Tammy, MK looks absolutely crazy! We were at AK for half the day but thought about coming over to MK to meet you guys. Good thing Thomas needed a nap.

I know...you take a little break and when ya come back it takes forever to catch up! Man...your dads blood sugar got real low! My dad is diabetic too and he could do a lot better watching how he eats. Sounds like we both have hard headed daddys! I'm glad he's okay now.
Star war picture was great. Boy DS looks so happy
Oh man he sure was! He LOVES Star Wars!
Well, what's that about???? :confused3 The rain stops & those people come out of the woodwork!!!!! :rotfl2: Love the StarWars' pic! :thumbsup2
I know! That place was slammed like a Christmas afternoon! Okay, maybe not that bad but it was busy!
Wish you could come with me!
Me too but my AP's aren't good again 'til August 14th. :lmao: Get some good pics!!!
What cute pics. And don't say Moo about your pic. It's very nice :goodvibes. And yes I got my trip ticker to work:yay:.
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. For real. I can't believe I let myself get so fat! Ick. Never again. It's coming off...I still have about 100 pounds to go.
OK! Tammy, Awhile ago I told you about the Thomas event at the strasburg railroad and I found a few pics I have to find better ones but this is what I found for now!
Not a great pic of the real Thomas Engine but I know I have a better one somewhere I will find it! The photos are from The Day out in the Park with Thomas and Friends at Strasburg Railroad!
This is my DS he was about 1 1/2 yrs old here!(Dh is in the background)
This is one of there Free Rides! That is DD in the red shirt and my nephew Joshua behind her and DH and DS are a lil further back you can't really see DS he was to small! LOL!
This is a shot of some of the outsides of the rooms at The Red Caboose Motel these are real restored Old Caboose's they are sitting on real railroad tracks!
Here's a close up of the one we stayed in!
I'm going to end with an old pic of me from April 1997 this was taken on our honeymoon! :goodvibes
Cool!!! Your DD looks exactly the same now! Did you get any of the inside of the train room!? That is a really good idea! Something like that here would stay packed all the time. That place we went to in NC rents out their caboose for birthday parties. Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2
:cool1: I friend requested you.
Cool. I don't get FB at all. I like the Msp because I can personalize it and add music but you guys were right...it's a whole other crowd over there. LOL
PM me your name, Tammy, and I will add you to my FB friends. :goodvibes
Okay...
Oh okay. They limit a lot of that stuff to once a year. Bummer. I always get the same goofy woman for breakfast...she's in her own World. Poor thing. I'll tell ya one thing...some of these chefs go well out of their way to make people comfotable. My dad is a diabetic and I would request him a sugar free dessert at the beginning of the meal...well at Liberty Tree Tavern the chef all but came out and ate with us. He was wonderful! So sweet and the dessert looked soooooo good!
Next time take a ride on the train. Leave your stroller at the front gate and ride all the way back around...just go on a train ride and come back and get your stuff. That's easy enough! :goodvibes
PM me your info too.
Love the updates. I was way behind again and all caught finally. I'm sure I'll get behind again. we have a busy weekend....garage sale, and getting rid of a bunch of junk.
Will do. I'm so far behind it's unreal.

Our stop ~ TOONTOWN!
We got off and went over to the Barnstormer.
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st96.jpg
Usually Bolt loves this ride and can't walk past it without riding. Well today he wanted nothing to do with it. We waited for everyone else to go on.
Here they are! Front and second seats!
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st97.jpg
Toon Town was packed with people. I hate crowds so we left the area and went over to ride Pooh. Bolt wanted to go in here but getting wet without the rain just didn't make sense for this trip.

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st99.jpg
Winnie the Pooh is such a fun ride. We all love it. My favorite part is the bounce and the rain. Here are a couple of pics from the ride. Sidney skipped Pooh to go get snacks. He had four pretzels and two frozen drinks waiting for us when we got off the ride. The raspberry frozen lemonade is so good!

The Magic Kingdom was slammed. We started to head out. I had seen a camera strap the night before at DHS and Sidney promised to get it for me. While he was paying the kids and I were at the Photopass counter beside Tony's looking at the pictures. The lady was showing us her favorite park pics when Pinocchio walked in. He walked up between the kids and they all looked at the pictures together. Pinocchio was disappointed not to see any pictures of himself. He kept waiting and waiting...nothing ever came up so he told the kids goodbye and hopped on back to his changing area, That was so cute. I wanted to get out the camera but I didn't want to miss anything. Those are the best memories!
I was so ready to get out of the MK! I'm not much for crowds and this was a little too crowded for me. Where do we go next? Do we stick to the original Epcot plan? Will we get rained out again!? I will let you know tomorrow! :goodvibes
Your pics on the winnie the pooh ride came out so clear. I love that ride too :goodvibes.

For the record... The puppets in China are great... for about 5 minutes, until one said owner sets his awesome $30 puppet down after he lost interest in it... then one said owners little sister picks up said puppet and tangles it to the point of all strings needing a trim. :scared:

I found out today one of my good rocker friends died back in 2002. My cat is named after him. He was 35 years old and the cause of death was "natural causes". I'm thinking heart attack due to drugs or something to that effect. Still makes me feel a little weird even though it happened a while back.

Once we got inside the light drizzle rain had stopped. It had started as we were leaving the Pooh ride and was off and on for a little bit. I took some pics of the stuff in front of Spaceship Earth. AKA Da Ball!

Duh...yeah girl! Leave the stroller and take a ride. Then come back to that stop and pick up the goods. The kids (and you guys) will LOVE LOVE LOVE the train!
I know you'll have to excuse me sometimes me elevator doesn't go to the top floor ! :lmao: We will def be doing the Train at MK the next time we are at WDW !
The pictures from the Monorail are great , from the looks of the trees in those pictures , it seemed to be a mighty bit windy ! The pictures in front of Space Ship Earth are beautiful , I love all the close-ups of the topiaries and ones w/ DD & Monorail are too cute !
I still haven't been able to find you on FB yet , I try-ed the link u had on My-space and it didn't work . LOL

Isn't it weird when you hear that stuff? Even when it's been years ago? My cat is named after him. LOL His name was Boo, we call her Boo Boo. :rotfl:

BALL pictures! We all love Da Ball right? Man...on the kids new computer these pics look like a mess. I can't stand the way they look. It's like Photobucket made them 50 times smaller and then they look smashed and blurry. KWIM? Yeah it was overcast so the color if not real good but the clarity was perfect. I refuse to reload them all though. :rotfl:
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st140.jpg
I prefer the way Epcot used to be without the markers. I think the markers are a GREAT idea...I love the pictures and how people can add them on but I wish they'd move them outside of the gates or put them somewhere else along the paths inside the park. I loved seeing the entire Spaceship Earth upon entering Epcot.

The boys didn't see the Butterfly Garden yet so we took them over. I got another perfect butterfly shot. I could watch them all day!
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st146.jpg
They didn't know I was watching. Sometimes these two are the best of friends and play very well together. Then other times they fight like cats and dogs! This is them playing in the Tinkerbell playground...

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st149.jpg

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st150.jpg
We walked along a path and spotted these trees. They're so pretty! I love the flowers on them. I'd like to have about 5 of these throughout my yard. The yellow would look awesome with the Palms.

We were there 5/17/09-5/23/09 and hate that we missed you all. We were all witness to record rainfall and almost a total washout of our entire trip. We should have taken rainboots LOL as the deluge was relentless. All trips past it would rain for a few minutes and then stop. This rain was awful and have never seen it so bad. Even with an entire week there we didn't get to see all of the parades, although we did get on just about all the rides.
We too became passmembers in 2008 (August) for the first time ever, however we live 1200 miles away and would NEVER dare drive that distance. We were lucky enough to get a low-cost airline at our home airport which provided us with $190 round trip flights for all 3 of us.:cool1: Unfortunately, the carrier left April of this year, so now we will not be able to take full advantage of our passes. Hopefully another will come along, however I'm not counting on it and it looks like our AP's may not be renewed due to this.:guilty:
Thanks for posting all of those pics. We STILL have not gotten all of our pics printed. We haven't even made our trip DVD as there are ssssooooo many pictures to go through and make captions for. I hope I get it done before our December trip back to our home away from home - AKL!!!!

Your shot of the butterfly is very nice. I know exactly what you mean about your kids sometimes getting along and sometimes fighting like cats and dogs. My two are the same way.

Here's another playground! The kids loved these. Too bad they don't leave them up all the time!

Around this one they had the characters playing sports. It was really cute. The kids had a blast playing here. They had a little kids exercise area/playground and a separate area for the big kids.
Donald was a skater!

K thanks :thumbsup2 FB def takes awhile to get use to , I've only had it a couple of months also and still don't get it .
Can't wait to see the video popcorn:: It's just too bad u had such bad weather while you were there
Awesome pictures of the ball , I totally agree w/ u they should move those things w/ the pictures on them somewhere else , I like Space Ship Earth by it's self also ! Love  the butterfly pictures and the ones of DD & DS playing in the fairy garden ! I'm still upset that we missed that area on our trip :sad1: Can't wait to see the next update
OMG Sidney has to upload those for me. Thanks for the reminder. I need my video in Day 3. I don't know how you missed the fairies. DIdn't you get one of the F & G guides?
Haven't posted in a while. Our computer had a virus, so it was out of commission for a while and then I was out of the country for a week. Just got caught up with this report. Despite the rain, it looks like y'all had a lot of fun! The pictures at Epcot are beautiful. Thanks for letting us in on your life at Disney!!
That blows. Hope all is well with it now. Where'd you go? Did you have a fun time? Epcot was gorgeous during the F & G. I definitely want to see that again one day!
Just poppin in to say I'm still lurking along! :wave2:
Yay! Thanks for following along...:goodvibes
Yeah, I'm pretty sure. We get there the 20th and I think everyone else gets there a few days later.
I'll be there on the 23rd.
Aww so sweet of Sidney to fix up the flower beds :cutie: If it would stop raining for more than 1 day maybe I could do some outdoor activities around here too. It's rained 18 out of 21 days this month up here by me. Can you believe that?! :confused3 :headache: Ughhh!
I wish that we could get married in WDW! I just don't think I'd be able to get my whole family down there :sad2: Its sad, I know but they don't feel the Disney magic like we do!
Yeah, Gavin was saying it will not stop raining in NY! Sounds like my last trip to Disney. :rotfl2: Well who cares!? Do a reception when ya get back home!
Tammy, You might be on your profile page? Try hitting home and it should show you stuff others write too.
It does it now????
Yes!!!!!!! Definitely do the Group PTR that would be alot easier on all of us!!!! :thumbsup2 Just text me when you have it up and going! Your good at starting them! Plus you have all the pics! LOL! You go in your settings to fix all that stuff that shows on facebook! I did just signed up for twitter but the writing is real small! I think I added you not sure I don't have a clue on that right now! LOL! My name is PhillyChick722 ! LMAO! Im not real creative yes I live in jersey but was born and raised in Philly! LOL! I have to take time later to figure that one out! :)
Did it...Isn't Philadelphia the place with the double decker bridges? I drove through somewhere on I 95 that had them all over the place!
The plant is called Milkweed Bloodflower :goodvibes :flower3:
Cool. THANKS!!! I want one.
Your shot of the butterfly is very nice. I know exactly what you mean about your kids sometimes getting along and sometimes fighting like cats and dogs. My two are the same way.
Thanks. We had to put keyed locks on their doors....I got sick of hearing how so and so messed up this ones room. Now they lock it when they're not in it...so funny. This happened last night and they've each lost their keys at some point today! :rotfl:
What a FABULOUS playground! I really wish they would leave that up year round. All the other parks have playgrounds! :goodvibes
Me too and you're right...Kids would definitely like WS if they had that to look forward to.
that's such a cool playground! i wish my big butt wouldn't have gotten stuck in those hoops if i tried to go through :rotfl:
Are you kidding me? You did not play on the kids playground! :lmao:
Playground pictures are adorable , we some how missed this too :confused3 Boy I must have been in left field durning our trip

Got to say I am loving this trip report so far. I just thought I would step in and give you some info on the stone building in the Canadian pavilion. First of it is called the Hotel Du Canada and is modeled after the various hotels built by the Canadian Pacific Railway, they are now a part of the Fairmont chain. The one in epcot is closely based on the Château Laurier in Ottawa, but has elements of the others too. You can find out more about them at this link. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairmont_Hotels)

Exactly! The Hotel is in Banff...I have always always wanted to go there. That and Lake Louise. DH and I were just talking about it last night.
If you watched the Bachelorette last night, they were at the hotel! The Empress Hotel in Victoria is equally as impressive but I think they were trying to represent a variety of things across all of Canada. Hotel is from Calgary, Gardens from BC, Le Cellier I would assume represents Montreal..... Victoria is the only place I can think of where you might find a red phone booth though but those stone cottages could exist in Montreal.
The gardens (I think) are modeled after the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC. Which are amazing! Stanley park has some nice gardens but I'm betting on Butchart.
I'm not sure where you'd find those soaps...they seem more Seattle than Vancouver to me lol!

Hi Tammy,
I'm finally on board with this TR and caught up.:cool1: I love the playground in the last post! I know that Epcot doesn't really have a lot for kids like the other parks do, so you would think they'd leave something like that up all year round. It's a great place for kids to release some energy! Maybe it's something that should be suggested to Disney.:confused3
I love your little Gabby model! Does she want to be a model when she grows up? She'd certainly be a good one! She poses perfectly!:)

It's probably there on lawn for the F & G so the company can get recognition or whatever but the price of that in comparison to other things...very little. I defnitely think they should leave them up all the time. I saw four different ones. They were all cute as can be.

That is too funny about your kids locking their room with keys and losing them. My 13 yr. old DD would love that idea to keep her 6 yr. old brother out. But, she would definitely loose the key too.

Those Bambi topiaries are cute! I wonder if they reuse them (or just remake them?) because on one of our trips, I think Dec. '05 they had those same ones out front at the Animal Kingdom for the Bambi DVD release!
The probably use the same wiring or whatever and redo the flowers each time...I would think since so many of them stay the same year afer tear. They actually had a movie you could watch on the F & G festival inside the Wonders of Life Pavilion. It was really cool to watch them put the festival together.
Those soaps are great! I have never been in that Canada store...but I think I might have to pick up a few of those soaps next time! What great little gifts those would make.
This is one of the things I just love about the Dis - finding out about hidden gems in WDW! :goodvibes
Aren't they funny? Don't think I'd wanna use them ti wash in though. :lmao: Cute gifts for sure!
Hi Tammy,
I'm finally on board with this TR and caught up.:cool1: I love the playground in the last post!
Agreed. We should send them some emails about it.
Ms Gabby...all she's into this week is that cute Jonas brother and TROY from HSM. :sad2:
She had a friend sleep over last night and all they did was talk about how cute those boys were. I was like, boy oh boy do I have something to look forward to.
That is too funny about your kids locking their room with keys and losing them. My 13 yr. old DD would love that idea to keep her 6 yr. old brother out. But, she would definitely loose the key too.
That playground IS awesome looking. I wonder why they don't leave it up. I can't believe how amazing all those topiaries are. I really have to see those some day. Is it always so rainy in May?
I know...The locks are getting on my last nerve now. Okay fine...use it when you leave the room but not to torture your baby brother! Come on now! I just moved him upstairs with them and it has been pure chaos all week.
I don't know....I think that rain was very odd. A shower a day is one thing but this was bad storms every day. It was record breaking all over Florida!
Yes ,this is very true but we are skipping next year and going on a different vacation so we probably won't make it back to WDW till 2011 and plan on doing our trip around the Christmas season . So I guess I will have to chalk it up to a loss . LOL
I hear ya. Somewhere else would be fun too. Any ideas on where ya wanna go?

Goodbye Canada...Hello United Kingdom!
We were on our way over to the UK when Bolt spotted a lizard! He LOVES lizards and bugs. He wanted to carry him around and play all day but Dash came by and scared it off. Bolt was ticked!
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st206.jpg
I felt bad so we took him to meet Pooh Bear and friends. The UK is the BEST place to meet Pooh. Seriously...if you like him avoid Crystal Palace at all costs. I have eaten there three times and all three times Pooh was a jerk! We were passed by and dissed several times there. Not cool! However at the MK Pooh is super sweet and playful. Save money....meet him here for free. CP food isn't all that great anyway!
The line had a couple of families ahead of us. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes to meet them. It wasn't too bad. The older kids went over and started a mask while we waited. I HATE those things. All they do is smack the heck out of one another with the sticks! They never last through 2-3 countries.
Gabby wanted pics of the Pooh props. She asks for them every time. She didn't have her camera so I had to take 'em today. Remember last time....the photopass people were taking them for her. LOL

Wow, I'm going to have to explore Canada a little more. I really never looked much at it, and had no clue they had a red phone both there as well. Some day I want to take my time going though all the countries, but I have a feeling it will be years from now, and I'll have to do it by myself. LOL!

You're right. It does. And it always feels like a fun party to me. The kids love drawing on the streets. The music is good too and the food smells delicious! I've yet to try it. Hopefully next time.

Maybe they only open it in the Summer and around the holidays? Things were in the windows like it was a real store and we tried to open the doors and all but they were locked. No, haven't seen the pictures. Where can I find them? I'd like to see.

Nice pics. It was too hot to play in the maze in UK while we were there. In fact it was too hot to do much of anything! I edited and sent for ourmphotopasss CD last night. Now we're in Pittsburgh. joe and I go to Columbus on Friday for a convention for the weekend and then we'll be in Pittsburgh until the 9th. I think maybe my eyelids will stop peeling if I stay out of the sun! I got really burnt in Florida even with SPF 70! And yes as far as I know we'll still be coming to the beach some time this summer. Just not sure when my Dad and vicki are taking us. I'll let you know.

The new borders are really cute aren't they? I didn't buy one this time. I pulled them off the internet but they're small. Like wallet sized. With all the nasty rain I only got a couple anyway. For real!? Your eyelids are peeling? Ouch. Not good. I got too much sun yesterday too. Well, keep me up to date. We have a lot going on this Summer but if I'm around we'll cook out or something.

Hey! Very long time, no post. I've been very sick and in the hospital, but I'm getting back to normal now. It has taken me forever to catch up! Just wanted to let you know I have really enjoyed the TR so far. When I go in the hospital again in 2 weeks, my laptop is coming with me! I can't get that far behind again!:lmao:
I also have some great news! I have been thinking of nothing but Disney since our trip last November and living on these boards to get my fix b/c I knew we couldn't afford to go back anytime soon. Well, we have a week off (vacation time) in November and I got an email promo code from WDW for free dining from August until December 17th!!!! I was so excited. My DH said that if we can get a reasonable payment for all these medical bills that have accumulated in the last month, then we will try to go. If it happens, we will try out Pop Century this time since you like it so much. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. So I am majorly keeping my fingers crossed that it will work out for me. Who can pass up free dining in Nov/Dec????? Not me!!!!!!!!!!!:)

I'm not sure where you'd find those soaps...they seem more Seattle than Vancouver to me lol!
love love love the bambi topiaries and that playground rocks!
Banff and Lake Louis are beautiful! We went on a trip there when I was in highschool. I probably didn't appreciate it as much as I would now, but I remember how pretty it was.

I'm certain that we are taking a vacation next summer to the Maggie Valley, NC area with my Grandparents , they all ready agreed to go and it's hard to get them to do so now that there almost 80 . LOL
Great update :thumbsup2 The UK is so cute :cutie: The pictures with Pooh & Friends & Your Kiddies are adorable ! I love those tea cups , now I do remember seeing those but I didn't take a picture wish I would have now there soo cute :cutie:!
My family is wanting to go next month. My parents love it there. Sidney's family has a house up there that everyone shares. It's simple but in a great location. Typical Mtn getaway. I wish my grandma would meet us there. She doesn't live but about 2.5 hours away from that house.
My husband loves lizards. We have 2 snakes and a lizard at our house. We have never done the Kidcot masks. I know that they would have no chance to survive more than 5 minutes around my son. I do like the idea of the passports though. I hope to try that sometime.
Yikes. My kids would too if I let them but I am not taking care of a reptile. :scared1: I do not share the love. Well, I like them, but I don't want to play with them. LOL PASSPORTS rock!
I'm caught up! :thumbsup2 It's taken 3 days but I love this trip report and all of y'all who are posting!
3 days? This one isn't all that long yet. Well welcome aboard! I hope you will stick around 'til the end. Speaking of...I have to get my business together. I still have a long way to go and this must be done before I leave in August!
When we did the World Showcase we were more focused on the passports. We didn't seek out the different characters at all. We'll have to make that a focus next time.
Really? There are Princesses all over World Showcase. Your girls would LOVE that! Plus Pooh, Mary, Alice....Aladdin & Henie...Dopey....Mushu...Mexican Donald...definitely check out the characters next time!
Hey! Very long time, no post. I've been very sick and in the hospital, but I'm getting back to normal now. It has taken me forever to catch up! Just wanted to let you know I have really enjoyed the TR so far. When I go in the hospital again in 2 weeks, my laptop is coming with me! I can't get that far behind again!:lmao: Oh no I'm sorry to hear that. I hope everything will be okay.
I wish I had gotten that pin. I got the 40% off pins for room only but I'd drop my fancy room and do free dining in a heartbeat if given the choice. A bunch of us are going Nov 29th-Dec 6. You should come then. If I get that pin I'll come for two weeks! With what I have now the dates were only good for 7 nights. Well good luck with everything! I hope things work out so you can go then. :wizard:
Tammy - Great Canada and UK pictures. We'll have to try and catch Pooh in UK this time - SIL loves him. We are going to CP too - we have always had a good experience there.
It's funny because half the people I talk to LOVE CP and go all the time, others, like us have tried it 3-4 times and have the same gripes every time...I'm done with it. If I'm doing a buffet I'd rather do Chef Mickey's. They have yummy salmon!

I love the view across the water when you leave the UK and head towards France! Usually there's a photopass person standing here but not today. I actually went up a little further along the international gateway to take these.

FRANCE!!! We're here. And wouldn't you know it!? They have perfume bottle topiaries! They did this free tour on their garden but weren't there at the right time. I didn't want to wait because the rain and wind were off an on again. I got a few pics and went on my way.

Thanks. I think I'll be ok. I got really anemic and had to have a blood transfusion and then surgery to see what was wrong. I have fibroid tumors the size of a football!:scared1: So I have no choice but to have a hysterectomy in 2 weeks. We're pretty bummed about it b/c I am only 33 and we wanted one more child. But I was so so sick and I do not want to go through that again, so I have just accepted it. I have one beautiful ,smart and fantastic little girl and all the cancer screens came back negative, so I am trying to focus on the blessings in all this! In the meantime, these TRs are a great diversion for my thoughts!:)
Here's some pixie dust for you :wizard::wizard::wizard: that you will get a FD pin too! I really wish they could be shared! I would give it to everyone in a heartbeat! And I would love to go after Thanksgiving but DH has to put in for his vacations a year in advance and since he was the last hired, he basically has to take whatever is leftover after the seniors pick their time. So I don't get much choice as to when we go. All I ask of my DH is that he grabs a week in the fall and spring if at all possible. But we NEVER get a week that adjoins a holiday. :sad2:
LOVE THE WS UPDATES!!!!!! I could live in that place!:cloud9:

Honey you haven't seen me in person and if you saw these pics you still don't know what I'm supposed to look like. Hopefully when I see you again we can share clothes. I want to be about 135-140 (size 4) and my itsy bitsy size 36C top again. I'm getting there. I took a buch of pics last night and the extra chins are GONE! :woohoo: Thank you God for helping me do this. :worship: I went shopping a couple of days ago and I bought some L shirts at Gap, and one I had to get a M in. Good sign, very good sign! :thumbsup2
I remember seeing some old pictures of you and I really don't think you're THAT much bigger now then. And come on, when you get older you gain weight. Isn't that a fact of life? I hope so because I've been telling myself that for like 2 yrs now haha And oh yea, if you end up at a size 4 we could not share a darn thing because I'm not a 4! I wish I was! If I weighed 135-140 I'd probably be a size 6 or even an 8 (depending on the brand of jeans) but I know you're like 5 inches taller than me so thats probably why. Congrats on losing the chins you say you had LOL I never saw them though! Oh and you can give me an "itsy bitsy size 36C top" and I'll be the happiest girl alive :lmao:

Oh cool! Well you know all about the weather then! Oh girl...I love coming to Wilmington. We always have a blast there. And you are right in saying....weather is not the main issue when you are WDW, it's FUN! But I agree, more sun would have been nice that time!

I'm too cheap to invest in a program plus that kind of thing don't work for me. I just made a lifestyle change for myself. Diabetes and heart troubles run in my fam and that alone was my wake-up call. I started working out too, which I loved doing before I had kids....did it all the time and looked great. Then I gained 120 extra pounds!!! :headache: How in the World did I let myself do that!? Stupidity I guess. Never again. I sold all of my "plus sized" clothes last week and from here I go down....I can fit in a 16 pant right now but it looks like my butt will explode out of them. :lmao: I'm getting there...slowly but surely. If you're wanting to lose too I'll be here for you and I will pray for ya! Healthy is the word! I want to be healthy!
Exactly. They are so much fun over there. I've never seen a "dull" pic w/ Pooh and his gang taken at the UK pavilion!
Why do you think I tell EVERYONE about the passports? I'm trying to do away with those darn masks on my own! :rotfl2:

Wow! This is my last written up post before I have to write again. Not good, for me anyway. Will someone else write this trip report for me? We finally put up our pool today and I know that's where I'll be for the duration of the Summer. ('til we leave for WDW) Man, I got a lot of sun today. Good in a way I guess. I'll be perfectly tanned for Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon! :woohoo: Okay...here is my last write up....I'll get back to everyone in a bit. I just want to try and finish the March report and get some things written for this one. Thanks everyone for reading along!
After France...
We come along another exhibit. This one had a lot to do with GREEN gardening. Water conservation, etc. I thought Sidney was going to sit there and read everything. You know me...get the picture and get out. Here's my part ~

I'm trying to keep up with you though.
What kind of flowers were those you took pics of in the UK? :confused3 They were beautiful

Wow. I feel like it's been a year since I last updated. Sorry. The pool keeps calling. "Come swim ~ come swim Tammy!" (Or maybe it's my kids...either way Summer is taking me away from the boards. I only have a few weeks to finish this one so I better get to writing. I left off in another playground....somewhere over in World Showcase. Next we would be entering Morocco. Somehow I missed the Aladdin topiary. Oops. Now I have to go back next year. We went in the counter service restaurant to look around and not a soul was eating in there. It was so weird with all the CM's standing around....I felt like they all wanted us to eat really bad so they'd have something to do. Didn't look real good so we passed. The place is very pretty though. I took a couple of pictures.

We didn't mess around Morocco a whole lot. I don't think we even went inside anywhere other than the CS place.

Our next stop Japan! One of my favorite places in WS! My family loves Teppan Edo. I think this is the kids new favorite place to eat. This time they're doing it twice. Chef Mickey's is a real close second though. Gabby also loves the Hello Kitty stuff all over the store. She'd buy one of everything if she could. Here are some photos from our tour of Japan...

Does anyone know how much this pearl thing costs? I think Gabby would love it! She's crazy over jewelry and to get a prize out of a shell would tickle her! Ya'll let me know the cheapest way....since it will probably be lost a few minutes later anyway.

When we came back outside I noticed a bunch of Bonsai trees. I fell in love with these back when the Karate Kid movie came out. I would have loved to get one of these. They had them for sale in the F & G festival but they were expensive.

What's that I see? A globe? I can't remember the last time I watch Illuminations, if ever. I am looking forward to our Grand Gathering in August mainly for that reason! Anyone here try the Illuminations Grand Gathering? I can't find a thing on it but I did see it going on during the May trip and we peeked inside. It looked like so much fun!

Well....there's a little update for you. If I don't get too lightheaded sitting in the computer chair I'll try and do another for tomorrow. Next up America....

Have fun by the pool girl!!
I have a ressie to see him. How did you like the food?
You know me...trying to get a good tan for my man and the Disney water parks...sure don't wanna burn down there.
Finally joining in and all caught up!! We were at WDW the same week as you (May 16-23). Wasn't the rain INSANE?! We made the best of it, though. You took a bunch of great pictures!! We missed a lot of what you saw in Epcot due to the rain.
Hello! Welcome. A lot of people on Dis were there that same weekend. The weather was horrible but we managed to have a good time anyway. The pic of your DD in your siggy is so cute! :cutie:

I enjoyed your World Showcase pictures. We have never really spent much time there. I hope to next time we go. It just always seems to be at the bottom of our list, and we run out of time. My son is really into Pokemon now so I am sure we will do a little more shopping there this time. I really want to see American Adventure. The bonsai pictures are very pretty. I used to love the first Karate Kid movie.

As usual greatpics. We saw illuminations this trip. the girls loved it. The bad part was trying to leave afterwards. Joe sisn't stay for the show, so it was just me and the girls in the huge crowds trying to leve the park. but it was a nice show and they really enjoyed it. The globe loked really neat with all the pictures on it. I think you'll have a lot of fun at your Grand Gathering! Wish I could go back!

Somewhere along WS the kids started to play Kim Possible again. They were fighting over the phone like crazy though and it was really getting on my last nerve. We ended up getting separated from Sidney at some point in Germany. I went ahead in the shops with the kids to play the game.

The game brought us inside. Then back outside. Then back inside the other end of the same store. I was getting aggravated plus the older kids continued to fight some more. Sidney and Bolt had went on a candy/cookie run and I had no idea where they were.

OMG between the ends and outs and the fighting I took the phone away and sat down on a bench. I was so mad. I hate to get like this at WDW but it was unavoidable. They continued to blame one another for my getting mad and I texted Sidney to COME NOW! He shows up with a huge pack of cookies that all but melted in your mouth. They were so good! Bolt was once again covered in chocolate of some sort. Those two were in a great mood. Everyone was clam again. On the bench you could see the super groovy Peter Pan playground/garden. Everyone wanted to play in it but I was still upset for the way they acted in Germany and said NO. Here are some pictures...

It looked like fun when we saw a piece of it. It better be...darn thing takes two credits! :rotfl:My kids get the chicken and shrimp tempura w/ white rice and broccoli. We usually ask for the rice and broccoli. I think the meal comes with fruit and cookies? Heck I can't remember. Last time we ate there was way back in December.
Morocco is one of our favorite WS countries, and this year we finally got to eat at the CS place -- it was very good! The menu sounded good. I don't like to eat anywhere where you see abunch of food waiting to be eaten and no people in sight, lol. Makes me nervous.

Oh that's not bad. I'm going to add that to the list of things to do. Bolt wants to do the Pirate makeover, which I think it way way way overpriced for what they do...but at the same time I feel bad about saying No when Gabby has done BBB numerous times. I'll probably book that for him.
Love all the WS pictures! I can't wait for our trip!
It'll be here in no time at all ya know!?

I think the girls would enjoy finding the pearl. I'd like to go when there's no on around so she thinks she's the only one who gets the pearl. :goodvibes I bought our pool at the end of season last year for like $125! Now it's over $700. I'll store it for a year! It's a nice relief in this 95 degree weather!
Great WS pictures. :thumbsup2

Thanks. I think one could spend weeks in WS and still find something new to look at. That store is full of Pokemon. My son was into it now he's into SW legos instead. AA was nice. I haven't been in since '06 though. I hope to catch it this time.
As usual greatpics. We saw illuminations this trip. the girls loved it. The bad part was trying to leave afterwards. Thanks. I can't wait to see it. We'll have our own little area set up with desserts and beverages...should be cool! I drive so I'll linger 'til everyone is gone. Luckily that night is EMH so we can stand around and nibble on desserts while everyone else clears out. I hope they have chocolate covered strawberries. OMG!!! Well didn't free dining start before school went back this time?
I'm looking at the pics of the Peter Pan garden and totally wondering how we missed that:confused3 We were at Epcot on 3 or 4 different days and I never remember seeing that! It looks so cute!

It started to drizzle a little so no more pics for a bit. We ended up breaking in Norway for yummy drinks and desserts! Sidney and I had some alcoholic coffee drinks. Sidney's was too strong so he handed it over...I didn't have a problem getting it down. It was quite yummy!

It was so yummy! The stupid rain was coming back again so went into Mexico 'til it passed. Gabby found some pretties to pose with. They are cute but how long would this stuff last in the downpour weather outside? A minute? Maybe two. By the way that rain excuse saved me a lot of money this past trip. "We can't get that now...the rain will ruin it." So in that sense it was nice to have around.

I was done with the camera now. Sidney took over before I dropped it. LOL Still raining so we decided to hit Donald's boat ride. I love these boat rides..they're so cool! I never get bored of them.
The CM at the boat told me I had to leave my almost full Margarita in the stroller while I rode. Puh lease....did I listen!? Hell no! By the end of the boat ride I was totally lit up! It was the best boat ride EVER!

I had talked with Nichole (kaysmommie) earlier and we had planned to meet up on this day at some point. This was their last night and the rain messed us up the past couple of days. When I called her they were eating at Le Cellier. I told her to give me a call when they were done. Meanwhile we'd continue our walk around the World. Well Gabby and I were looking at those wooden animals they hand carve and paint up front and someone calls out my name. It was a man's voice, not a woman. I was still a little ditzy from the drinks but I recognized him. (It was Tommy & Thomas ~ Nichole's hubby and lil boy) They went in there looking for a restroom and happened to see us. He told me Nic was out front with Kaylee so we went outside...found my boys and went down to meet Nic's whole group. I felt like I knew Nichole already since we talk on here all the time. Ms Kaylee seemed a bit shy at first but after a few minutes she hit it off with Gabby and they hung out the rest of the night. Thomas took a little longer to open up but he and baby DS played together eventually.
Nic also had a margarita so I didn't feel like a total drunk. LOL We chatted for a few in front of the Mexican pyramid and we stayed together for the rest of the evening. We all went over to Test Track first. Bolt didn't want to ride for some reason so Sidney stayed out with him. We pretty much walked right on Test Track. I think they love that ride as much as my family does! When we got off the kids messed around in the cars for a bit. I think Nichole took pics of this but she's not this far into her trip report yet. One of our first days was her last so I'm getting to it first. Anyway...we hang out in that area for a bit then went back out to find Sidney. Good thing he skipped the ride too because someone tried to walk off with Thomas's stroller! Sidney asked the guy, "Are you sure that's your stroller? I could have sworn that's the one our friends just left behind..." The person was like oops and grabbed their beat up raggedy old stroller....as if they really mixed that up! People will steal anything these days! Or try to. Stroller safe and sound and ready for another trip back to WDW! Yay!
Please forgive me...I didn't take a single picture during any of the Dismeets. I know, bad Tammy! Can you believe this? I feel so bad about it. But we were all drenched, soaked and looked like we were playing SURVIVOR. We didn't want a picture looking like that! So anyway, we leave Test Track and went over to The Land to ride Soarin'. Inside we saw Mary (MaryAZ) and her beautiful DD's. That was a really quick meet (it was almost closing time now...) but we said hello and talked for a bit. I really wanted to meet back up with them later but things never worked out. Mary and her family were sweet as could be. I know we would have all gotten along and had a blast. Next time if the weather will let us!
We rushed over to Soarin'. Tommy sat this one out. We didn't have much of a wait but we requested the front row so we wouldn't have feet dangling in our face so that put us back a ride. Usually this only takes a few minutes right? Well, not this time. The ride before us gets stuck up in the air!!! And it's not just a second or two. They were stuck for a long time! I don't think we were supposed to know about it but this sweet little Asian girl told us. After all it was taking forever and there was only one other family waiting with us. It was a big family...about 8-10 people but still. All I can say is I'm glad we didn't get on that ride!
After what felt like 20-30 minutes to me we were allowed inside. The maintenance people were all in there which made us a little nervous. Surely it wouldn't get stuck two times in a row right? We load up with the other family and take off soarin' over California and suddenly the movie goes black. We're stuck! We weren't up there as long as the other group but any amount of time is a long time when you're up that high without movie to look at! Nic called Tommy to let him know what was going on. Soarin' was all done for the night except for our ride. After a bit they brought us back down. Problem was fixed this time! We had to wait for them to restart the movie but then we went Soarin' again! This time we made it all the way to Disneyland! Yay!!!
We get out and the park had been closed now for a while. Tommy was worried about getting back in time for dinner and they still had to pack. We walked out as fast as we could...detoured around the lit up sidewalks so her family could see them, then they went to the buses and we went to the monorail. We had to go back to the Poly to get our ride.
Once we got back to the room Sidney went to the food court and got us a little something to nibble on. We were hungry ourselves.
I don't remember what the kids and I had...Sidney took a picture of his food though. He had a bacon cheeseburger. It looked so delicious!

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May21st/May21st334.jpg
We hung out in the room a bit...watched the weather forecast...nothing ever changed by the way. It was the same mess day after day after day after day....we went to sleep with hopes of getting a decent day over at DHS! Star Wars weekends begin tomorrow! The other reason behind this trip!

WOW!! I'm still amazed at all of the things you saw at Epcot that we didn't!! Sooo glad you have pictures to share!! That's so cool that you got to meet up with Nichole (I was able to meet up with her the first night we were there however we never ran into Mary, unfortunately). That's CRAZY that you got stuck on Soarin'. I think I would have been freaking out--I know Ally would have! Can't wait to read more!!

Hi Tammy,
Great update and pics in Mexico. Those coffee drinks look good too, better than the Margarita I had. It was fun to finally meet you and your family. I do have a few pics of our kids in the test track area, if you want I could post them. Sad I didn't get any of us though, we did get rained out when we went outside on TT. Tell Sidney thanks again for rescuing our stroller :goodvibes. It seemed like we waited a good 45 minutes for Soarin and then a bit longer when they had to wait for the tape to rewind. It was freaky but :rotfl2: too. Kaylee liked meeting your kids, especially your DD. If Thomas sees me reading one of your TR's and he sees pics, he will say "Oh that is" and one of your kids names. He is always very shy unless he knows you really well. I wish we stayed one more day for Star Wars Weekend.

This year F & G and Star Wars weekends crossed so we were able to do both. I don't know if it's always like that though. I've enjoyed this past year....going at so many different times and seeing a little bit of everything. The only thing left to do is the Food and Winde festival. I don't drink wine but I still want to go one day.

I feel like we missed so much because of the weather. Especially the SWW events. Nichole is great, isn't she? We'd been talking on here for like a year so I felt like I knew her already. :goodvibes That's not the only ride we got stuck on...LOL
I love those margs - something about them just tastes great! So you snuck it on the ride?? I'm tellin!:lmao: I'm looking forward to your Star Wars Weekend pictures! (and btw - great job not eating that bacon cheeseburger!)
I love the salted rims. YUM! SWW coming up really soon. As a matter of fact this trip report is about to go really fast. I hope to be finished in less than 3 weeks so keep checking for updates...I'll be popping them up left and right here shortly. I'm almost done uploading all of the video.
Finally got up to date! Awesome pictures as usual Tammy. And I can't believe that you didn't take one Dismeet picture. :confused3 I was shocked when I read that! Seriously, I know what you mean though the rain was terrible and who wanted to have their picture taken after getting drenched!

I know. Both times the rain was showing it's butt so I didn't even take the camera out. I look bad enough as it is but to soak me down...yikes. You'll see...I ended up taking a picture of myself one night while at DHS so ya'll could see how soaked I was.
Actually I took the D60 back today. For work I only have the D300 now but the kids and I have a ton of those point and shoot cameras. I think there's like 6 of them total. They're nothing fancy though. I had a D90 too for a bit. NIKON rocks! D300 is as high as I can afford to go though. This girl can't afford the $5000-$7000 camera bodies. Wish I could. lol
Glad you weren't stuck on Soarin' for too long and that they were able to get it working for you! That cheeseburger is making me hungry!
Me too! That would have been bad. Being stuck on with a friend from Dis made it funny though. The kids had a blast being stuck.

Hi Tammy,
Great update and pics in Mexico. Those coffee drinks look good too, better than the Margarita I had. They were! My maragrita was really good. Mine wasn't very sweet. I don't like 'em sweet. That one you had looked sweet! It was fun to finally meet you and your family. I do have a few pics of our kids in the test track area, if you want I could post them. Yes please. I delayed this for a long time waiting for you to get to the same day but I want to be done with this TR before we go off again. When we come back to the Mtn house we'll have to hang out for a day or two. It's pretty close. Sad I didn't get any of us though, we did get rained out when we went outside on TT. I know...at that point though I could care less. Did I tell you I fit in a size 16 now! I was a 20 when I saw you guys. I can't wait to hit a 6 or 8. If I don't look too thin then I'm going for a size 4. Tell Sidney thanks again for rescuing our stroller :goodvibes. I'm still amazed by that. Why would someone try and steal a kids stroller of all things. Man. So tacky. It seemed like we waited a good 45 minutes for Soarin and then a bit longer when they had to wait for the tape to rewind. It was freaky but :rotfl2: too. Kaylee liked meeting your kids, especially your DD. If Thomas sees me reading one of your TR's and he sees pics, he will say "Oh that is" and one of your kids names. mmmm...margarita! That Mexico boat ride has a special place in my life - it was the very first ride we took our older DD on when she was 8 months old! I think they changed the music in it recently - it used to be this tune that would get stuck in my head (uh-oh, now it's stuck in my head again!).

Well at least he didn't hide behind like he usually does :goodvibes. If I had known that they were giving Tommy his vacation week I would have extended our stay until Saturday. Do you mean that Hyperspace Hoopla show? I saw it on another TR and showed Thomas. He was hysterically :rotfl: . I'm pretty sure we will go back next May and plan on being there for SWW.

Lots more great pics. I love the maket in Mexico too! I wish it had rained more on our trip! It was just plain hot!!!! School starts on the 25th in NC this year, but we start on the 18th as teachers. also my Big 40 is on the 16th. I would love to go down and celebrate, but not enough time. When does free dining start? Of curse I think we missed the window for reservations. Besides. I've been home 2 days this entire summer. We won't know what to do with ourselves when we actually get home next week!

They redid the whole ride about 2 years ago, and added Donald to it. I think the old version was better.

Loved to hear about the Dis meets, it gets me excited for our big one! And we better have some alcoholic beverages to have some fun like you did on the Mexico boat ride! :rotfl: I hope the rain held off a little so you could enjoy the Star Wars events at DHS!

We woke up in a hurry on this morning! Dash was ready to see Star Wars Weekends! We had a quick bowl of cereal in the room then headed out. Already things were looking kind of stormy. WHY!???? Haven't we had enough? On the way over to DHS we saw this near Coronado Springs...the train that take people to their cars was just a moving down the street. You don't see this every day so I took a picture.
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p398/MrsGavinDeGraw/May%202009%20WDW/May22nd/May22nd.jpg
We arrive, park, and go in as fast as we can since it wasn't raining yet. You could see it coming...as soon as we got close to the gates I saw the Storm Troopers standing on top of the DHS entry. I don't know a thing about Star Wars but I was even getting excited now. Dash is a huge Star Wars fan. He knows all of these people...me on the other hand...not so much. I'll do the best I can here but please...don't expect a whole lot of knowledge on these characters coming from me. I've never even seen the movies! (Yes, we own them all but I've never seen them!)

I could tell already it was going to be a very busy weekend at WDW, and especially at DHS. We didn't go early for the fast passes or anything and when we arrived the line still looked like this.

We walked over towards 50's Prime Time and saw the meet and greet booths set up all over. I don't care to meet people like that. I'm not an autograph person. I asked Dash if he wanted to meet them and he said no, he'd rather meet the people dressed up as the character so off we went...

This was our first time...I had no idea what went on here but they gave us these white SWW flyers that listed parade times and a dew other things. Wish I had gotten one to bring home. The rain ruined all of the ones we had. If anyone here has an extra brochure PLEASE mail it to me. Being new to the event I took pictures of everything! Here are more of the SWW celebs...

We made our way over near the backlot tour. This is where the big store was. OMG it was slammed packed with people in a long waiting line! Just to get in and shop! Wow. I wasn't expecting that. Evidently that is where all of the people were. Turns out this was one of the things they handed out fast passes for, so I was told. Fast passes to shop!? What the heck was in that place!?
All over the streets you'd see this kind of thing...

I LOVE those Star Wars pictures and I'm not even a huge fan! How cool to see the storm troopers on the roof everywhere. Might have to make this a must do some year because Jake is freaking out looking at them! He's so excited.
Love Minnie as Leia! She is probably my favorite!

WOW!!! Love all of your pictures of SWW! I have no idea who anyone is except the obvious but it looked like a lot of fun! I am sure my nephews would really like to do that sometime but I hear you about being in an alternate universe or something :lmao: with all of them walking around! Mickey and Minnie pictures are priceless! :thumbsup2
Looked like a great sunny morning...hoping that it stayed nice for you for awhile! :sad2:

we LOVE SW weekend! (I'll see if I can email you a guide) The storm troopers are great...where they talking when you went through? One year they saw a large family with a child in a stroller and they were saying "look - that small one must be their king, see how they surround him and give him anything he wants" :lmao:

My family is wanting to go next month. My parents love it there. Sidney's family has a house up there that everyone shares. It's simple but in a great location. Typical Mtn getaway. I wish my grandma would meet us there. She doesn't live but about 2.5 hours away from that house.
That sounds like alot of fun , it's always nice when family member has a vacation home you can take advantage of ! LOL Awww that would be great if you could convince your grandma to meet you there :thumbsup2
Wow , I go away for a week and I feel like I'm lost , you said you guys were busy swimming and you didn't dis that much but I was way behind , so you must have been pretty busy on here . LOL
The France pictures are so pretty , loved the perfume topaires , again I must have missed these too ! LOL The Mexico pictures were beautiful , sounds like you had a great time drinking around WS , it's always nice for us mommies to let down our hair every once in a blue moon and have a few drinks ! LOL The Peter Pan Playground was also too cute , another thing we missed and I know that DS would have loved it ! The Star Wars Weekend Pictures are amazing , I can't wait to see more popcorn::
