We were sitting in the living room one day when my husband looked out & saw her sitting on the balcony. It was so funny to see her there. I know ducks fly, but in all the years we've stayed at OKW on the 2nd floor, this was the first time one of them decided to come up & visit. :) I felt so sorry for that duck. The other ducks were constantly chasing her either on the ground, or in the air.

Something I don't have pictures of is a group of bunnies that seemed to be playing hide and seek one afternoon. There were 5 or 6 rabbits chasing each other into the bushes. Every once in awhile a duck would join in. And people say OKW is boring.

This was the first time I've tried taking pictures of fireworks with a digital camera. I used the camera's night mode for them and for some of the night shots I took at Boardwalk & from our room at OKW. Since I didn't have a tripod, I set the camera on the railing at Boardwalk and held it with one hand. I had the strap around my wrist just in case; didn't want it falling in the water! :D Then I just started shooting with the hopes that a few would come out. That's what's so great about a digital camera. If the pictures don't come out, you just delete & try again. I have a couple more that are pretty good, but I didn't put them on the web. I also have 175 other pictures I didn't post. Didn't want to bore everyone to death.

I agree, great pictures! We arrive at OKW July 7. I can't wait! By the way, what kind of digital camera do you have? I am thinking about getting one. Thanks!

FrozenPiglet....LOL, love the name!

I have a Fuji Finepix 4700. It's discontinued, but still available for a great price at places that still have it. I've had the camera for about 1 1/2 years and I love it. Fuji has come out with 'new & improved' models, but I honestly don't seem much of an improvement in comparing those new cameras to mine. The one thing I love about mine is it uses AA batteries. A lot of the newer cameras use a proprietary battery which cost a lot and aren't readily available. I use NIMH rechargeables which are available most everywhere for a very reasonable cost. I know a lot of people have their digital pictures printed commercially, but one of the reasons I bought a digital camera was so I could print my own. Any questions about digital cameras you have, I'd be happy to answer; send me an IM.
