I was not able to get into Boardwalk Villas for November 30-December 8th using my DVC points. I have been on a waiting list since January, but it's probably not going to come through. I did not call every day as Mr. Patrick (PatInMn) suggested that I do. :o :o :o

I am patiently waiting for an announcement about the rates at the Swan/Dolphin. I called Disney today to see about making a temporary reservation at the Yacht Club just in case. The Yacht Club is SOLD OUT :eek: for those dates.

Okay. I lied. I'm panicking! What if for some strange reason (I mostly behaved myself last time) I can't get a ressie at the Swan and Dolphin? :o Will I have to camp out on the boardwalk? I don't want to wake up with splinters in my heinie every morning. :eek: I'm afraid that the birds will carry off my snacks. :D I won't be able to have hot food because I'm pretty sure that Disney would frown on me starting a campfire on the boardwalk. :mad: ;) I don't want to accidentally flash a few hundred people if I'm changing clothes and my tent blows over. :p

Now, on to the bigger and more important issues. Will the bellmen even bring my bags out to my tent? Will room service deliver? Will they allow me to valet park or will I have to--GASP :o :o :o Self Park?

Not too worry, Dear Dayna. You can stay in my room (already reserved at the Swan) if you need to. However, Alan is probably going to have to seek shelter with Frank:eek: :eek: :eek: !!!

I'm so sorry, Dayna. I'm sure that things will work out. If it doesn't, I'll be glad to let you use my room one or two nights. I can sleep on one of the many sofas in the beautiful Disney Dolphin Resort Lobby with a wonderful view of the 30-foot poinsetta christmas tree and you can use my room.

Some of us have had reservations at WDW since January. I in fact have 3 different reservations. One at the All Stars which is looking better and better (long story) a week at the Hilton and the glorious week of DISCON at the SWAN. You see, I didn't wait for any annoucement, just went ahead and made reservations that can always be canceled if need be.

Go put yourself on the waitlist for Beach Club (more points I know) I did that at 7 months and cleared in less than a month! They keep adding rooms to the inventory there!

Wow, I am surprised at all the 'sold-outs' for that time of the year. Seems unusual to me. Usually that is a slower time of the year, amongst the slowest. How big is that tent?? :D

Dan, the 2 weeks after Thanksgiving is very popular for DVC. It is very low point useage and the holiday decorations are up. BWV and VWL is usually all gone for point use very early. OKW is not because it is much larger, but I understand there are not many left.
