I am freaking out- I can call on 6/8 for my trip over Labor day week and I hope we can get some good dining in- It will be our last trip for at least two years and I just want to get the places I want- I am thinking only two will be super hard, but I was hoping it would not be that busy since almost all schools will be in session and most likely it will be the first week for many.
UGH!
I forsee lots of frustration and phone calls! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think you will be fine because you are into Sept. Wasn't there a post somewhere asking when most are going to FD and most were going in Aug? Can't remember.

I've been getting a headache just thinking about it. :headache:

We're arriving on Labor Day, so we'll be there at the same time. I'm used to making one set of plans and getting everything I want. I hate the thought of having to have alternates and more alternates. That is way too much work. :rotfl:

I would not worry so much. I called this week for 8/26 - 9/6 and got everything I wanted. I did need to move HDDR from my first day to a later day but other than that no real problems. I am thinking that perhaps either the demand was a lot higher during the very start of free dining or the computer system issues were causing a lot of problems for people getting their desired ADRs in the threads I was reading and stressing about myself. I did not look for Le Cel or CRT since they were not in my plans but I was able to book Ohana, Chef Mickeys, HDDR, Crystal Palace, Akershus, 1900PF, Sci Fi and Boma all without and real problem for dinners from 5:30 - 7PM time periods and all within 30 min of when I asked. Perhaps party size had a factor since I was booking for sizes of 8 and 10 people for most but I would think that would have made it even harder.

So, I would still try to call in at 7AM on your 90 day date but hopefully there is no need to be too nervous. Note: I called in at 7AM for the last 2 days and got right through with no wait both days.

That's our arrival day too! We'll be at POP for my birthday and my two sons' first trip. I have been making myself crazy worrying and making plans, back-ups, and then extra back-ups. I can't wait until 6/9 to hopefully have this all behind and get on to the more fun, less stressful stuff!

May I ask what HDDR show time you wanted? I can't decide if one time is any easier to get than another. We really could do any of the three, I would just need to plan around that.

Maybe our paths will cross at some point! :goodvibes

Don't worry - I'm sure things will turn out just fine. I made ADRs on Thursday - after spending about two weeks in a lather about it all - and everything went well. The only ADR we didn't get was Ohanas (and actually I was half-hearted about going there) and got everything else on the date and timeframe we wanted. We got Bomas, Tusker, 1900 Park Fare, Kona, WCC, Princess Breakfast at Akershus.

Over the next few weeks, we can try to get another 1 or 2 TS meals (and then figure out which ones we'll pay OOP), but after being panicked about the whole ADR situation, now I feel pretty confident that we'll get those other reservations as well.

Hang in there!

I feel the same way. Reading all these horror stories knowing I'll be worrying about it until June 30...my 90 day mark. I'm hoping things ease up since I'm going at the very end of FD (9/28-10/5). Not much we can do about it, though. No matter what, it'll be a great trip. It's WDW!!

I've been thinking about this a lot! We used a TA, she says she can make my ADR's for me....I just don't know if I should trust that she will be as "obsessed" about it as I will. Any advice on letting a TA make ADRs?

jcemon,
I was trying to book HDDR on 8/27 but the only time available was 9:30 PM which is too late for my family. So, I booked 7:15 on my last night (9/6). I would imagine that 9:30 would always be the easiest show to get into so if you are flexible on the time you should hopefully have a good shot to get in.

I think we can do the 9:30 show as long as I plan around it. We are night owls here at home but usually adjust our schedules at Disney. Maybe we can try for the late HDDR on the day after MNSSHP. We'd be sleeping in anyway, so we could just get a late start, hit a water park or Epcot, have all our meals late that day.

I just made my ADRs for 8/28-9/3. I called right at 7am and got right through. A bit of advise, make a practice call just to hear the prompts. I did that yesterday so I knew which buttons to press before they ask the questions. It makes you jump to the front of the queue faster.

I made 5 reservations and the entire call took 14 minutes. I got the dates and times I wanted. :cool1: So don't lose sleep over the next two weeks you will be fine.

I got Boma, HDDR 5pm, Cape May (breakfast), 1900PF, and Tony's.

Yeah, free dining.

Thank you. :goodvibes

Maybe the earliest free dining dates are just busier that late August into September?

It sounds like people are having an easier time making their ADR's now. If you don't get what you want at first, keep calling back. I did this morning and I got an ADR that I could not get Tuesday morning. Good luck!!:)

Hi - I used the above and thought exactly the same as you - should I book myself or trust to Dorothy, my advisor. Likewise I was worried about availabilty, booking without knowing Sept Park hours etc. I have to say she has come up trumps and got everything so far, and at my requested times. (Le Cellier, Chef Mickey, Coral Reef, Crystal Palace and Sci Fi included) As a TA, she has used the Online System and she said she had no problems at all about getting them.
So a big thumbs up for her and hope it eases peoples minds a bit until D Day!

... and my trips dates are August 16th to 22nd (aka, the first week of Free Dining).

I was really worried because our trip dates got switched to that week on Thursday night ... well over a week past our 90 day mark.

That said, we got everything we wanted (except Teppan Edo, which I just couldn't make work) around the times we wanted.

So there's hope. The dining CM was really good ... she did comment that the computers seemed to be getting slower and slower as the day wore on. (We had to wait a few minutes for my confirmation numbers to appear and she gave these all to me at the end.)

We booked our August trip through Dreams unlimited, so I just emailed Stacey from Dreams Unlimited with the restaurants, dates and times we wanted. She was wonderfull. We got everything we wanted except Mama Melrose. The latest time available was 3:20. I guess the later times were taken by Fantasmic packages. I would recommend them to everyone!!!!

The later times are generally available without the package.
