El Capitan- tickets in advance?

I want to take my kids to see Up this weekend, and really considering El Capitan, and I can see that you can order tickets online, but do you have to? The only reason I don't want to is traffic based...We are up in ventura County, so we never know what we are going to hit on the way down.

Weekend showings often sell-out, especially the first weekend of a release.

Why not just drive to the nearest Orange Line station and take the train into Hollywood? Saves time and hassle, and the Red Line stops across the street from the El Capitan.

Yes you can buy tickets at the theater. Worth going to I might add. First time at the El Capitain and it was very cool. I liked the stage show as well. The best seats were 2nd floor middle but go down not up.
