We are doing free dining. We were doing the 4/3 deal in July and with 5 people saved a significant amount doing this instead. We also got an extra night, too.

Cool - hope to see you there! We're going to request 2500 or 2600 loop, close to the bus stop. I think it's going to be pretty empty there, so I don't see a problem getting what we need.

I am SO excited to be staying at the Fort! We're not telling the kids - they still think we're staying at ASMu. DD will be SO excited to sleep in the bunk bed.

You guys are really making me exicted to go to WDW. I've tried to meet some fellow disers, but have so far. We will be there Aug. 16-22 (wish it could be longer). I requested a cabin near the bus stop too. With 4 kids and one of them being high needs I wanted to make it easier on all of us.

Cool. We plan to do the campfire, movie, electrical parade and Wishes that night. A friend and her family are going to visit with us that night too.

The campfire starts at 7:30, the sing-along starts at 8:00, and I think the movie starts around 8:30-8:45.

Sorry - going when kids are out of school. We are January Snowbirds, so going in August is going to be an ADVENTURE, that's for sure! That's why we're so excited about staying at the Fort - if it's gets too unbearable to be out at the park during the day, there's fun at the Fort in the shade!

As of now, we are NOT getting the golf cart, but I'm thinking of getting it for a couple of days - maybe the 19 through the 21st and do some looping. I'll see how full the change jar is when we go.

I requested a site close to the bus on Loop 2500, so we will hopefully be able to walk to the bus and the pool. We'll have our van so we'll only take the boat to MK and drive everywhere else.

You can find it on the thread here called "We need a way to identify ....." On page 2, there is a large one done by Big Daddy Rog. It's perfect! I'll be making a sign for our cabin, plus some T-shirts for the family.

My request is loop 2500, near the bus stop. That makes it walking distance to the quiet pool.

It would be fun to be there with other DISers! Did you guys make a request for location? If not, then feel free to jump on our loop request. I think it's the best for a pool, laundry (which we plan to do at least once) and the internal bus to the marina.

The trip's less than two months now - I'm starting to panic!!! Anyone getting a grocery delivery or bringing stuff with you? We're not sure if we want to go shopping when we get there, or just do the Garden Grocer thing.

Thats funny, I think we requested a loop in the 2500 area too. We are actually getting in on the 14th, but staying offsite til the 16th, so we'll be getting groceries sometime the 15th after we are done at the beach. I can't remember what hotel we're staying at the first 2 nights, I want to say the Best Western Lake Buena Vista?

sharadoc and lenzendorf, are you all sure we've never met...LOL.... we have been in cabin 2404 and 2516. I love being near the quiet pool and the laundry facilities. I believe I requested that again. Should we all make the same request??

I already have a schedule of our dinners and what parks we are going to that day plus any extra events (campfire) that we are doing. I have a list prepared for our groceries on the way as we have a portable plug-in cooler. I am still trying to find a battery operated fan that clips onto our stroller. My hubby doesn't want me to take the mickey as it might get damaged. :rotfl::rotfl:

They have teh smaller fans that hang on thread like a necklace and they seem to put out a bit of wind. We bought the cooler close to 2 years ago and it is a lifesaver!! I have to add a few items that we are low on like wipes and renuzit, etc, but I think we are okay. Plus I have to make our big diser sign so we all can recognize each other's cabin (I will be watching-in a non-stalking kind of way..LOL).

We were originally going to do the water park option, but I'm thinking the FW pools will be good enough, since neither of my kids do the big slides or anything. We would mostly do the main pool and lazy river at BB, plus a couple of the smaller slides. I think we'll be just fine at FW :thumbsup2

I agree - the porch at night sounds great.

Here's a question for all the cabineers - are you bringing decorations for the deck or site? I'm planning to bring some solar lights for the steps and front area. Are you going to decorate your railing or anything with lights? Lots of folks do apparently.

I had thought about getting something to decorate and if we do bring something it will be just some Christmas lights for the hand railing. We don't really have big plans for hanging out a ton at our actual cabin when we're at the resort. I'm still debating if we're going to get lights for the gc or not. They had a set of red, white and blue battery powered ones for $6 at Wal-Mart I'm still debating on getting.
