I'm posting this since it was talked about on this weeks show. I was laughing at my desk this morning when the podcast crew were making fun of Geir.

I have met Geir twice at Epcot, Sept. 2005 and Sept. 2008. I didn't like the Eau de Parfum for Men until I got back home since the smell is so overwhelming in the shop in Norway (he sprays everyone that walks by). Once I realized I liked it I had to buy it online. I use very little of it because it does have a strong smell. A lady that works with me has the Laila for women and likes it a lot.

Anyways, I'm not sure where I'm going with this except that Geir is a nice guy, if not a little bit too pushy with his product. I can't imagine being stuck on a cruise ship with this guy chasing you around trying to apply his product. Oh well, it made for a funny podcast.

He was actually very nice - although he did squirt me several times and massaged my hands. He asked where we were from and talked for a bit about some realtives that he has that live not too far from us. We saw him leaving his stateroom one morning (which was on deck 2 - I was a bit surprised at that) to go to the gym, and he was all done up and smelling good.... Not what a normal person looks like when they go to the gym ;)

My DH loves that cologne and wears it often. Every time we go to EPCOT it seems like we see a sign that Gier is there or will be there soon. We laugh that he isn't even really from Norway - he lives in EPCOT in one of those cute houses in Norway! Now we know he vacations on DCL! :rotfl: If I tell DH that Gier was on the podcast cruise, I MIGHT have a chance of getting him to do the next one :thumbsup2

He gave us a ton of samples too. Infact I'm using them so that the bottle I currently have lasts a bit longer, or at least until Sept when we go to WDW. I'll buy it there. Maybe Geir will be there and I can get him to sign the bottle.

I agree!!! I walked by the shop where he was sprtizing people and couldn't believe how tight his pants were. And it takes alot for me to do a double take. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

And he's very nice, and loves to give away free samples, and gift cards, and loves to autograph things (he was even autographing the samples...LOL!). It was fun to talk to him, or rather, to listen to him as he chattered away like a monkey and massaged and lotioned my grody garden-weary hand.

I was in hysterics laughing, because I realized that I had been one of the people whose hands were "held hostage" by this guy. When I saw Jaime's photo, I knew it was the same guy. This happened to me a few years ago, as well.

I could not stop giggling during that part of the podcast. I nearly did a spittake when I heard the "rainbows" comment. :laughing:

And now I'm laughing at all those "tight pants" comments. He must have worn looser pants back then. ;)

Kevin's reaction to this "butt" statement was hysterical. I'm not sure what was funnier, the reaction or the statement.

I'm sure Geir has a good sense of humor and understands the good-natured ribbing that he received yesterday. You have to be friendly and good natured to spritz people all day. :rotfl:

OMG, I was almost hyperventilating on this thread. He does look like Annie Lenox.
I had to take a picture. I knew no one would believe me when I got back and told ship stories. Those must be some industrial seams to not blow out when he bent over. I don't think they sell those pants in Iowa.
