What is a good brand of shoes to walk/jog/run in? And where can they be found?

Hi Michelle! I'm going to give you a link from a shoe discussion not to long ago (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2100156&highlight=running+shoes). I think this will get you started. If you have more questions please ask away! Someone will get you information to help.

I think the main thing is go to a specialty running store (most also fit walkers too). Yes, you can run walk in your old trainers and lots of people do, but a well fit shoe can keep you from getting injured and help a great deal with training. The people at a running store are trained to work with what runners need as opposed to a more general fit training a sporting goods store.

I agree. My feet are so happy now that I have had shoes fitted at a running store. I wish I had done that years ago in high school. Maybe I would have run more then.
