MS cash discount for family members

My Brothers family is going to stay on a few days longer than we are. If available, can I make a discounted cash reservation through MS for him or would I have to personally be staying there also?

Cash discounts (when available) are for members only. Guests are not entitled to the discount.

If you are staying in the room, you can get the discount.

Technically you personally need to be in the actual room to get the discount. I think they're pretty strict on this one. Since you will be there though, you may be able to get the discount, if available, even if he stays later than you do.

I had already made a reservation (for them) but never even got around to telling them about it. Will cancel and coach them regading securing a plain ol' non DVC flavored ressie.
