Questions about the Roots?

We are planning on using the Roots for our photog, but I had a few questions.
For all of you who have used them, how much do they charge? On thier website it says "All wedding packages include an engagement session and a sizable credit good towards the purchase of albums, prints, etc" How much is sizable? Any help would be great! Thanks

If you email them they'll send you a full pdf of prices. They're also very willing to work out individual packages (I didn't need printed photos, so we made up a new "package").

If you email them they can send you a price list. I know their largest typical package is 7k for the entire day and it includes a huge product credit and a ton of other stuff. I think its the best plan if you need a full days coverage. When we met with them they were also super nice and seemed to be really flexible about doing custom packages if you are looking for very specific things.

With the price list they will send you a copy of a list with everything you can "buy" with your product credit.

I love the Roots. I originally looked into having them, I needed 10 hours of coverage and the all the photos on a disc (no extras included like printed photos, albums, etc) and I was quoted $4,600. They also required a 40% deposit before they could book the date and I ended up not being able to afford it. I was originally disappointed because I absolutely adore their work but then I found Misty and her pics are amazing also for about half the price and a lot more is included!

We booked in the middle of 2008, and their prices have changed since then. We did not go with a package, so I can't tell you how much is included in those.

I will say they were willing to split the hours of coverage we had over two days and with a break from the wedding to DP...so that might lower the # of hours you need them.
