I have been to a few parties at that location and it's a great location!

There might be two of us. The dingbat boyfriend is "toying" with the Goofy (personally I kind of want him to stay home, but....)

YES! The more we have not only the more fun but it gets cheaper per person. So if you know folks that are interested, bring 'em in!!

It's true - we had a blast, and it was the best view of Illuminations ever!

Any view of Illuminations would be better than what we had on our trip two weeks ago...two guys in the very front refused to sit down, so all we saw was hiney and some high-shootin' fireworks. Still had a blast, though...

Do we have any updates on this? I assumed we're booked right? I'll go back to the other page to see where the party is.

Has anyone on here done Team in Training? I just signed up with them for the full and there is some event after the races, but I want to make sure I can still do this too!

Megan, I'll be in the same boat. Last year, our TNT victory party was held at the CSR convention center from 5-8 PM. I had something I wanted to get at MouseGears, so I left for Epcot a little before the party had wrapped up. Using Disney Transportation, I still got there well before Illuminations started. We should be in great shape to do both, and really wouldn't miss much if we leave the TNT party a bit early.

Hi Vicky - since the menus aren't out yet, no idea! They did offer a variety last year but it was $6 more pp which I thought was a bit high. We'll see what they offer this time.

Has anyone seen this: Also new in 2010, Marathon Weekend participants will be able to purchase tickets for an exclusive in park party that will take place Sunday night. More details will be posted as they are finalized at disneyworldmarathon.com under the Travel Details/More Magic tab.

What was that like, Tracy? (for those of us who lamely didn't go and didn't pay that much attention to the Princess) Was it a regular P&P party? Did they charge an arm and a leg?

dsnyfan21
07-31-2009, 10:22 PM
I did not go to the "after party" which I think was as Hollywood studios. It was a separate ticket, kinda like a P&P party or mickey's VMCP. It was kinda expensive I thought and MK was open the same night as EMH late, so we just went there instead. maybe check out last year's Princess thread as I know there were some that went.

I went. Originally there was supposed to be a P&PP. I thought it was okay, but I might now do that party again. I'd like to see what they are offering. If it is the same kind of party, then I won't do it.

twoWDWfools
08-01-2009, 10:38 AM
If its the same as P&P or the one after EEC, it's EMH with a DJ.

I'm having a tough time voting for a dessert. I have some issues with sugar, so I'm mostly interested in the fresh fruit. It's hard to tell if the fruit that's included in the chocolate package is more like a garnish or decorative item (what do they mean by "display"?) or if there would actually be enough for everyone to load their plates with it should they choose to do so. I'd be happy with the apples in the childhood package too, but the chocolate sounds like there might be more variety to choose from.

The fresh fruit is a mix of fruit for eating/dipping the the ganache so it is a good amount.

If you or anyone has food allergies, please let me know! Disney is happy to provide alternatives if we have someone with special dietary needs.

Corinna - not too late at all!! Just pm your email address to me pls.

I will update the attendees tonight - got a little behind. As it looks right now the Chocolate Dessert is in the lead. Hey, it's an antioxidant, right? :-)

As an FYI, final payments will be due by Nov 30th. I will send invoices out the first week of Nov.

Still time to sign up for anyone interested. This is a fantastic party with fantastic food and great people to celebrate our accomplishments.

Is there room for four more? We did the party last year and had a ton of fun and have been debating about this year. I think I've finally decided that the weekend is about fun and a bit of extra money seems worth it to hang with friends, eat yummy stuff, and watch the fireworks. How much are the tickets at this point?

It would be me, DH, DD6 and our great friend and sitter.

Disney Mommy - I PMd you.

Like last year you will need a wristband to get into our area and I will again have them with me at the Pop meet on Friday. If you cannot make it to the meet, we'll meet up at the entrance to the viewing area at 8.20pm Sunday so I can get it to you.

Also, there is a possibility of moving to a different viewing spot. I am a bit concerned about not having enough room to have full seating so I've asked what other locations are open. Great viewing and food no matter where!

It's almost time!!

Just like last year you will need wristbands to get into the party area. I will be at the Pop meet on Friday handing them out. If you are not going to make the meet, I will be at the entrance to our viewing spot about 15-20 min early Sunday with list and bands. They will not allow anyone in without these!

Looking forward to seeing and celebrating with everyone!

UPDATE PLEASE READ

Disney policy is that if it is below 50 degrees they will automatically move the dessert portion indoors to keep both food and guests warm. Looking at the forecast pretty much makes this a given. This is the way it'll work:

On Sat I'll be contacted with the location at Epcot for the indoor portion. They will begin a half hour ealier than originally scheduled (so 8pm) to allow time to enjoy dessert then walk us over to the viewing area for Illuminations.

I realize this is a bit of a bummer however I think it'll be far more enjoyable if we're warm while eating/mingling and our viewing spot is the same.

If I do not already have it, please PM me your cell phone number so I can contact you with the location. If you cannot accept text messages let me know as well and I'll call you otherwise I'll send a group text.

Looking forward to seeing everyone very soon!

I just want to say how sad I was to not be there last night : ( . I had really been looking forward to it - it was a highlight for me last year. Since I was traveling with my kids I had to adapt to their needs, and they needed to get back to the hotel!

I'm glad it was a great time and I am so grateful to be part of this awesome team! I'm working on getting to Disneyland in September!
