Park pass discount for DVC members and LOS question...

Hi all, have two quick questions. Is it the LOS pass (I think that's what they're calling it this week) the pass that members get a discount on? Also, do they count the check out day as a day if you get a length of stay pass? i.e. we're checking in Sept. 22 and out the 28th, does the 28th have to count for the pass? Or could I get it for 22nd-27th or even 23rd-27th. Thanks for any help!!!

I think you can as to have the first or last day removed from the pass when you check in. At least that is what I have seen reported here before. We usually have APs, so we have not used the LOS passes for some time. I believe we had guests use them a couple years ago, and we dropped the first day.

Generally, LOS are issued for check in to check out, however, I have experienced occasions when due to a late check in, they will offer to issue the pass starting the next day.

They are now called Ultimate Park Hoppers. At DVC resorts, they have been known to drop both first and last day (arrival and departure) from the pass. It will be encoded on the room ID.

There is also a 10% discount for DVC members for this pass.

Heather, we were just at VWL in May and they let me drop first and last days without any problem. Just be sure you check to see that you got your discount, they forgot mine and I had to call back later and get the difference refunded. Erin

Is the 10% discount only for the members in our party or also our guests traveling with us if we all buy the pass?

Is the LOS for DVC resorts for those who rent or can you purchase LOS at a 10% discount when you use your points to stay???

Thanks for any info, I'm goint to be at OKW August 19-30 and trying to figure out which sort of passes to buy. We want to go to IOA & USL for two days and possibly KSC so AP, LOS or some other kind of HOPPER pass is still the question.

that if you have bad weather, become ill, etc., and cannot go the parks, etc. during your stay, there is no refund on the LOS. You either use it or lose it. If you purchase the Park Hopper, at least any unused days would never expire. You could also get a discount with a Disney Club card. Just food for thought.

I understand that if you don't go the days you are there that you've paid for nothing but I still don't undestand, can you buy LOS when you stay with points????

The UPH (Ultimate Park Hopper) passes may be purchased at check-in, whether staying on points or cash.

The discount is available for members and their guests.

I just asked MS about the discount. You can get the 10% discount for you and your guest that are staying in the same unit as the member. The response was:

"I would like to confirm for you that the 10% discount is only valid for the persons staying in the same unit, as the member, and this is for The Ultimate Park Hopper Pass only."

Sorry Tinkermom, I was really replying to HeatherPage who initiated the post, not trying to answer your question, and the information was just another point of view on the LOS options.
