Since there is a no flash photography rule during shows on board the DCL what is the best way to get pictures to come out?
Where should we sit - what speed film should I use?
Thanks,
Tammy

Can't help you with the film speed, but you do need to sit in the front row.
Even with the digital, if the action is going on deep backstage, it doesn't come out.

If you use a 1600 ASA you won't have any trouble. Be sure your camera can handle that speed first!:p

I have a digital camera with NO flash. Can I use that - will the photos come out if I zoom in close??
Thanks!

My hubby's is a digital and his come out good if he sits up front. But beware...on the 5/25 Magic during Disney Dreams they made him stop using his digital, even without the flash. They said it was because of the view screen. In 22 Disney cruises that's the first time I've ever seen them enforce the rules, so that may not be common.

Thanks for the reply. What if I don't use the view screen and just look through the regular viewfinder??
I REALLY want to take pics!! I guess I could try right?!
Thanks -

Most cameras will have a hard time unless you're right up front. The lenses on most point-and-shoot cameras are simply too small to catch enough light without a flash. It certainly couldn't hurt to try, but I'd try it with a digital if you've got one in case they don't come out. That way, you can just delete them and not waste film.
Then again, there were TONS of people using flash photography in our show and I don't really remember seeing anybody tell them to stop or escort them out. Even with flash though, shots in dark rooms from far off usually don't come out that well on most cameras.
