Time for One Night Show

We are going to stop DL on our way to Hawaii tomorrow. We'll be in DL for a day and a half. I think we'll only have time for one evening activity. Should we go to fireworks at DL or electrical parade at CA? We're not interested in seeing fantasmic. We already saw fantasmic at WDW.

We don't have a car. We're staying at the Desert Inn. How far a walk is it to CA?

I would say to watch the first showing of Fantasmic in front of Pirates, then stay to watch the fireworks because you can see them from there. Fantasmic is different than the one @ WDW....

But, if it's between the fireworks & the electrical parade... I'd say do the fireworks, and do them from Main Street.

However, it is possible to do both parade and fireworks in the same night .... We've done it several times. :)

It really depends on your family. Fantasmic is great, and so is Main Street electrical parade, so either choice would be good. If you have small children who are frightened by big noises than the DEP would be better. The electrical parade would also be better if you want to do stuff until later in the day, because the parade route is so large that you don't need to "camp" like you do for Fantasmic. Just plop somewhere about 15 min till showtime.

If you can park hop, then you should be able to see the fireworks either way. Simply see your desired show/parade and either stay where you are and watch if you saw Fantasmic, or enter Main Street and see them there...at least that way you see tink, which is hard to do over in New Orleans.
