Hi everyone! Hope you can join us for the June edition of the Nicki and Todd LIVE dining show...we go live on June 3 late at night and will stay that way until June 7th early..hope you can join in for all the fun!
For the new Diser's to our dining review, welcome! For the ones that know us, thanks for coming back!
Let me introduce us......
There is me, the OCD crazy Disney planner, loves nothing more than to drive poor DH mad with Disney resort questions, Disney dining question...well I just love to drive him mad over anything :rotfl2: Loves all kinds of food, thinking of dipping my toe (er teeth) into the sushi pool, needs a good cocktail with dinner, have been known to roll my eyes when DH says "I am not feeling it" on the way to our dining ressie!
And there there is DH, super calm, super wonderful to me, allows me to plan all our trips but then throws a wrench into my plans and wonders why I roll my eyes at him?! :rotfl: Loves all kinds of food, except fish fish, will eat shellfish willingly. Into wine with dinner, totally into snacking and into messing up our dinner plans ha ha! Known to finish the food on both our plates, cannot waste good food right?
When we were at the Poly this past March we booked the bounceback for June 3-7, DH's decision..he could not imagine waiting until our big October trip :scared1: We originally booked CR MK view but real life interrupted our plans (DH needed auto work) so I changed it to the POFQ..really excited about trying the beignets..have not been to this resort before.

Our plans are this, and I say this with much resistance because my lovely DH changes things on me all the time and I never know what we are really going to do...I am pretty sure that the TS dinners will stay the way there are though...at least I hope so ;) We plan on leaving around 2pm..that is if DH gets out of work ok....in the past he always messes me up and we start later than I want to....are you guys seeing a pattern here? And people wonder why I get gray hairs....
Arrival night - DTD but do not know where. I told DH if he gets out of work on time and we make it to WDW by 5pm I would take him to Fultons cuz he loves him some Crab Claws. Secretly I want to try Raglan Road or even go back to WPE.
Day 1 - breakfast at POFQ
lunch - this is our HS day and I think we will eat CS but I am not happy about it
dinner -Cali Grill and we are both really looking forward to this one, no way can he get me to cancel it like he did this past Oct. I already told him I plan on ordering at least 3 appies for us, 2 entrees and 2 desserts...so I dont mind if we skip a yucky HS lunch
Day 2 - breakfast at POFQ or Main Street Bakery
lunch - this is our MK day, I was trying to get us into the Plaza for a relaxing lunch but DH wants to eat at Cosmic Rays or the Pirate and the Parrot place (can you say indigestion??) and I will just eat at CHH instead, love their food.
dinner - Tonys on Main Street...DH really loved the calamari we had there in March and requested it again for June...I may order something different this time, I know I want that cannoli cheesecake! Since I cannot get my drink on in MK we will probably go to the Tambu Lounge for a bit and then back to MK, we are going to try and stay to 1am!
Day 3 - breakfast at POFQ
lunch - this is our Epcot day, I know I will eat at Tangierine Cafe and if Todd wants the meatballs I will try and keep a straight face as he is not aware they are lamb instead of beef and he just scoffs them all up! He may opt to eat at Lotus Blossom instead.
dinner - San Angel Inn...thank goodness they cancelled the remodel as DH really wanted to eat there. I guess you can say this is a DH requested vacation but thats ok...as long as I can get booze I am happy!
Day 4 - time to go home boo hoo! We have ressies for Boma and I cannot wait, have not been since October. BUT now Todd wants to go to AK on our last day and I have been trying to get into Tusker House for 3 weeks and no luck. Oh well, we can drive over after and hopefully eat lunch at AK before heading home.
So I plan on taking a ton of pictures, of my food, of Todd's food, heck I may impose on a neighboring table or two...just kidding, I am not that nutty!
If you have any requests let me know, I will do my very best to "Git Er Done" for ya!
Now if the next 8 days would just hurry the heck up!

Okay, I'm in! After many months of lurking on the sidelines, I saw this new review coming up and just signed up. I am very excited! My husband and I just got back from staying at the Kidani Villas 5/12-5/16 and I am still longing for more food porn, LOL! So Nikki, Bring It On! As a side note, I want to thank everyone for all the tips on here. My husband was amazed at how much I learned in the months between our previous trip last October and this trip we just returned from. Now I just have to get him to give his input a little more. :rotfl: Yeah, right.

Hey Nicki, have a great trip!
I have a favor to ask but if you can't do it, don't worry ... in the overall scheme of things it's not a big deal. BUT ... since my nephew and his wife are joining us for a few days in October they've expressed interest in dining at Tutto Italia ... any way you can get some menu information for me if it's convenient? I'm trying to decide if we should take them there and use the 20% DDE discount or bite the bullet and give the Italian place at the Swolphin a try instead.
Both would be new to us since we have so many great Italian places here in Stinktown I'm hard pressed to eat it on vacation (kinda like steak ... :lmao:). But if it's something they want to do then I'm willing to take one for the team.
Thanks in advance, but please don't put yourself out. And have a great trip!
BTW ... When are you going to give Bluezoo a try? I know you'd love it. :thumbsup2

Bren! How are you guys back in good ol' Stinktown? Our F&W trips are coming up in a little over 4 months, can you believe it?! I think we are going to do Blue Zoo in Oct since we will be right at the BWI and can walk over. I will be in Epcot so that is not a problem at all...just beware that they may change the menu by the fall...they did that on us last year..it was still great but I had to decide on different entrees. We are having the same problem, pick Tutto for the third time (it is always great) or go to the one in the Swan (which I hear wonderful things about).

I am looking forward to your live report!!! I used your previous reports to plan our dining for our upcoming trip. I am glad to know that I am not the only one that drives my husband crazy with the many questions about dining and other WDW stuff due to my obession with planning. I know secretly he is glad I love to plan because all he has to do is show up. ;)
I hope that y'all have a wonderful trip! Excited about your reviews!! popcorn::
Thanks for reading! We leave in 6 days and DH is getting crazed just because I want to know what he is planning on ordering at certain places...the nerve right? :rotfl:

I am SO in!!! I absolutely love your live reports...and you have two before I make it back! I can count my weeks (sigh...months) by living through your vacations!
Like Brenda, I would love to see the Tutto menu. Allears still has last summer's version. And we are planning to try Tony's for dinner on our next trip (never been there) so I really look forward to that. Oh and California Grill...and...and..and....
I also love your commentary on what you did that day, the crowds, weather, etc. SO SO looking forward to this!

Definitely in for this one :thumbsup2 We're off to POFQ on the 8th :cool1: so will get us even more excited!!
I just got back from 8 nights at the POFQ, it is a really pretty resort, I hope you like it. I reccomend taking the boat over to Downtown Disney it is a relaxing and scenic ride. The POFQ food court is pretty small so if you get sick of it you can take a relaxing stroll along the waterway to Riverside where they have more breakfast options. We tried the beignets, they were good, but super messy. Powder sugar was everywhere!

Ok there have been a few changes, I know I know I am changing things already and we are not even there yet! :lmao:
I just added a 6:45 pm dinner at Raglan Road on our arrival day. DH really wanted Fultons but we are going out with friends this weekend to a local place that has wonderful crab claws and he said it would be ok to pick something different. WPE is great but we have never been to RR and I have read wonderful things about it, plus I need to try that bread pudding!
I was also able to snag an early lunch at Sci Fi for our HS day, and this is the day that we are going to Cali Grill so hopefully 7 hours between the 2 reservations will be enough time to digest burgers and onion rings from lunch!
Still cannot get a breakfast ressie at TH, but I was able to move my Boma up to 9am so we can get over to AK earlier than we thought. I would love to have lunch at Flame Tree before heading home and of course, need that frozen chai..it is soooo good I wish all the parks had them.
So those are the changes, for now! :rotfl:

Oh you should def try Fultons, it is wonderful! We are def going there in Oct. I naively tried the chai from Starbucks thinking it would be like AK but man was I wrong, it tasted like perfume! Terrible stuff at Starbucks, I will just stick with my lattes instead ;)

I think we are going to do the calamari, we love calamari and I was showing the menu to Todd last night and he said, "Yup we are getting that!" I also informed him that we had to get 2 desserts! He was all set to get the Shepherds Pie until he saw that it was made with LAMB! OMIGOD I was dying laughing and he said "What is so funny?" But I couldnt tell him...so I think I will order the pie and make him taste it so he can see he really loves it, I mean come on he loves those stupid meatballs right?

Have you been to the 50's PTC recently? I just switched from the Sci-Fi to the 50's. I haven't been there in about 5 years. I remember the chicken pot pie was to die for! :cloud9: Hoping for lots of antics to keep the kids entertained!!! Do they have boozy milkshakes???
RR sound yummy. We've never been. I recently discovered that Cooke's of Dublin (RR's CS), has wonderul fried fish platters. People have been raving about their fried shrimp and scallops. They say the fish is better than Yorkshire in UK. I'd love to head to DTD just to try it. Unfortunately, the boys have their heart set on T-Rex. Cafe :sad2:
Don't worry 7 hours is more than enough time in between meals. I'm planning the same thing for 50's PTC and Ohanas. Ohanas is a LOT of food!
I still have to buy the boys some summer clothes and get my luggage out. I'm so not ready!! TWO WEEKS to go :yay:

I'm here! :goodvibes
Hey! Welcome to the party!
Just keeping you on your toes, girlfriend. We've never done SAI...I don't care for Mexican food. I think you should "convince" him of Biergarten.
I think I should do, I will smooze him later!
Have a safe trip. Hopefully, Todd won't make any more changes. ;)
Ya right! This is Todd we are talking about!
I think this is a good plan. Cancel SAI and do Marrakesh. I have read excellent reviews of it recently and we are going in August-so I need your opinion first. See that settles it then. :rotfl:
Ok thats a very good idea, sacrifice our dinner for the good of the Dis Boards!
:lmao::rotfl2: There you go, Nic. There's your excuse for Todd!
You know he may just fall for that one! :woohoo:

Long time lurker on your reports, first time poster on one! DH and I are hoping to sneak in a quick anniversary trip (sans kiddies!:cool1:) to the F&W Fest, and I'm planning our meals right now. You're eating at several places that I want to try on that trip, and I have to tell you that because of your reviews of Boma, I have completely switched around my schedule so that we can do breakfast there!
Glad to see you got the TH ressie.....we ate there last May and loved it....great characters, great food.

If Todd wants to change too much, just tell him he can't have the POFQ biscuits & gravy unless he behaves:rotfl: Though it's a really cheap way to make a guy happy at $3.49 for a plateful.
But hey, Nicki - you have a great time! Hope it's less rainy this week for you than it was for us last week.

So today is the day and I cannot wait! I plan on getting off work at noon, bring DH some lunch and remind him for the millionth time that he has to be home by 2 so we can leave and get on the interstate before the traffic and rain start....if we do this according to plan (and ya'll know that DH always has a reason to get home late) we should arrive at DTD by 5:30. I will have the car packed so all he has to do is change his clothes and away we go!
I have tried to threaten him with "If you are not home by such a time I am leaving without you" but he knows I wont do that cuz he has the moolah! Just kiddin', how can I leave him behind? If I go solo I have no excuse to order so much food! :rotfl:
We have 6:45 ressies at Raglan Road and we are both excited about this place...have no idea what we are going to order except the bread pudding
Then we will shop around and of course pop in to Goofy's Candy Shop for some treats. Then it is check in at POFQ....
I promise to post tonights meal before I go to sleep so all you night owls out there wait up for me!

UPDATE ON DINING RESSIES!
Just got off the phone with Disney and was able to score a few more ressies. Here is the update
6/7 We are checking out late at POFQ (morning at AK) and then we will switch to the Swan. We will have dinner at Nine Dragons..never been before but it looks pretty good.
6/8 Have no clue what to do for breakfast, got any ideas? Probably go to Epcot for the afternoon and eat there and then dinner at Beirgarten with DH, its his favorite!
6/9 Todd is in meetings again so I have no idea what to do for breakfast, no clue for lunch and we will meet for dinner at Flying Fish (unless he wants to go to Fulton's, depends on how tired he is)
6/10 He has a few early meetings and then we will have a late breakfast at Boma before heading home.
I need travel tips from Solo people...which park and what should I do by myself? I have wanted a solo trip forever and this is a semi solo trip so now that it is here I am like this :scared1:
Last minute ressies wasnt as hard as I thought it would be...50's Prime Time, Cape May breakfast and dinner and Tutto Italia were sold out for all the dates that we extended but they had alot of other places and times to offer so if you are trying to get stuff last minute you will not starve.
Now I need to pack more stuff...not that I'm complaining, especially when corp. is paying for the 3 day extended stay and some of the food! (for DH at least)

Oh thats so nice of you but I bet everyone else that wants a drink is going to think otherwise :rotfl: I never expected him to call me this morning with this news! I tried to extend POFQ but the rate was $221 a night, no discounts available for the POFQ!! Are you kidding me?? No, we've (by which I really mean me!) always wanted to go, but never did before we had kids, and since you can't really enjoy anything involving wine too much when you've got kids to take care of, we thought it would be a long time before we would get to go! But thanks to a fortuitous special rate at the Poly, some free Delta sky miles, and a SIL willing to take on a 5 year old and a 20 month old for 4 days, it looks like we're going to get to go after all, and we're (by which I really mean me!) are terribly excited. Have you done the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast? They have some fantastic items -
I do hope you'll stroll over and get some pictures and prices of their cakes they do there - that cake thread on the main page gets so many questions - I posted what I found, but that was last OCT - who knows what is up now!
The Swan, the beds - the Epcot resort!! You could always walk over to Sunshine Seasons at Living with the Land! For a solo trip, just carry your camera around, and whip out a notebook and they will think you are a journalist!! :thumbsup2
Isnt there a Micro Brewery over on the Boardwalk? Maybe if you have a free dinner slot or lunch you could check that place out for us?
We're goin in Jan '10 and I cant wait to try the Boardwalk Area eateries - looking forward to your reviews - I also appreciate your attention to detail with pictures!!

Hey you guys! We are here! I am so happy to finally be off the road. For those of you that had money riding on the fact that DH was going to get out of work late you won big time. He was supposed to be home at 2 and didnt get home until 3 but the weather in Naples was terrible. In fact it rained the entire time we were on I-75 and I think I was going 45 the whole way. By the time we made it to I-4 it was sunny and clear sailing and we actually made it to Raglan Road at 6:45 on the dot...time of our dinner ressie.
The DTD parking lot by RR was not full at all, that is a great sign. We walked right up to RR, gave our name and waited 5 minutes to be seated, right by the band and the little table the girl Irish Jig's on..it was perfect.
Here are some pics of the menus

Our server was Matt, in the beginning he was very attentive, went over the menu with us, brought us a Coke for DH and Ice Tea for me but there wasnt any ice in either one..and he didnt ask or bring me sugar/sweetner but I am always packing Sweet...Sweet N Low that is! He did bring us drink refills in the beginning but then he lost his way and never did bring us ice for the drinks. The Coke was cold but the ice tea was warm.
We decided to share the calamari...no sooner did we order it did a food runner drop it off the table so this was not made fresh to order, it must have been sitting under a heat lamp....it was very very greasy, very very heavy and just plain blech. There was 2 battered carrot slices that DH ate, 3 battered string beans that DH ate and 3 large battered broccoli that I ate and it was very very good. The calamari was pathetic....fried to incineration, just batter basically, no calamari. The sauce that accompanied it was very good but too thick. We are both still "tasting" this fried catastrophe.

Then the hockey pucks came out, ooh sorry the "soda bread". This is so gross words cannot even describe. They are lead balls with ZERO flavor. The dish of oil and the brown globe did nothing to enhance the flavor because IT HAD NO FLAVOR either. So this was left behind too.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09012.jpg
DH ordered the beef stew, I knew he would because he loves it, I think it is his favorite dish. The string beans were very good, nice and tender but no flavor until we peppered them up. The beef stew was too salty for even DH. There was 2 carrots, 2 potatoes and all beef. He ate a few bites and left it. I had one spoonful and said, NO THANKS. It was so dang salty but the beef was very tender.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09014.jpg
DH convinced me to try the meatballs and pasta. Omigod it was disgusting. There were 6 meatballs that looked like petrified dog poop. It was awful. You could not even cut these overcooked "meatballs". The pasta was dry and crusty, like it was sitting under a heat lamp just praying someone finally ordered it. Plus the dish was way too peppered. The dish was supposed to have roma tomatoes in it, well people there was not one darned tomato in the entire dish. DH killed off the pasta and the meatballs...well they stood alone.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09009.jpg
Our waiter never came over to check on us or refill drinks. It is our first night, we are tired and didnt want to complain (stupid us). Ok so dessert has to be the saving grace right? I had to beg DH to get dessert because he was so bummed about this meal that he wanted to skip dessert. We both ordered the bread pudding because we were both still hungry. It took 20 minutes for dessert. The bread was dry and crammed in this coffee mug. There was a pot of caramel and one of vanilla. We poured it over and tried to mix it up but it was a mess. DH liked it, I thought it was very dry and sicky sweet...BLECH.

The bill came to $75 not including tip. So we blew our first night dinner on a bomb. DH was right, the only place eating at in DTD is Fultons and WPE. Oh well you live and learn right?

After our terrible dinner we walked around DTD for a bit and wanted to purchase our tickets and TIW card. I had received a 10% savings pass along card for our new AP's and the card doesnt have the first name of the person and unless you know that persons name they will not give you the discount. They argued with us for 15 minutes, no one would give us the discount and they refused to look up the persons name so we did not get the discount. Can you believe Disney would not honor this?? They said unless you know the persons first name no discount...people are not supposed to send them to people on Dis boards, just give them to people they know.
So DH is ready to blow a gasket and I just want to get outta there. We walked around a bit, Goofy's Candy had a 30 minute wait for create your own snacks so we just got in the car and went to check into the POFQ. Just as we started the car it started raining....are you kidding me??
Check in at the POFQ was a breeze, we have a great room on the second floor overlooking the gardens. Room is super clean and comfy. Looking a bit worn like chipped tiles, sink, etc but other than that very nice. The food court is a bit sad looking but we will check that out more in the am.
Tomorrow we are flexible...sorta. We will have breakfast at the food court, lunch is supposed to be at Sci Fi (which I hope we keep) and dinner (come Heck or High Water!) is Cali Grill.
Any special requests let a girl know and I will do my best. I will also try and take menu pics at all our TS places and any others that do not have a crowd around them :rotfl:

Oh it was bad...there were 2 ladies sitting next to us..they complained about the soda bread and requested other bread...they did not have anything else. They got the calamari and said it was too greasy. One had the meatballs and said it was terrible, the other had the chicken pot pie and said it was all pastry, no chicken or mushrooms. They were contemplating dessert until we showed them our mess of sauce and dry bread and they decided to go to Ghiradellis for sundaes...wish we did that too.
DH made a little "cross off the list" motion in the air and I died laughing...not a great start so the rest of the TS places better deliver!

I'm glad everything went okay at POFQ. What do you think of it after staying at CSR? We've thought of trying it sometime, but just can't tear ourselves away from CSR. I hope you go to Sci Fi--want to see if you enjoy it as much as last time and DH said he's willing to try one signature restaurant and Cali Grill is the one he has shown the most interest in so I'm real curious to see your review for that one. Get some sleep...and here's hoping for a better all around day tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Sorry you had a bad dinner, it was pretty good when we went for lunch last year. I would have been so frustrated especially after traveling all the way there and looking forward to it. The bread pudding didn't even look the same, when I had it there were no slices. Glad to see there was STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING on the menu though (or in other words the GREATEST dessert ever!)
Looking forward to the rest of your reviews!

Its so weird, when we stayed at CSR it was pouring rain like it is now...so the entrance and the main building looked the same. The resort is dead quiet and I like that, plenty of parking and a nice small food court. Overall I would prefer staying at POFQ again because of the location, small resort and the quietness of it all. When we stayed at CSR the room was alot nicer but the lobby and dining area was jammed all the time and the parking lot was so full we had to park far from our building. You should give it a try one day. I think we may keep our Sci Fi, unless Todd oversleeps...poor boy is just exhausted....and still hungry ;)

Maybe we'll do a split stay in 2011 (next year we're doing a split stay with AKL). I just love the thought of the queen beds at CSR now, plus it's just "home" to us. I'm surprised about the parking lot being full...we rent a car every year and have never had a problem. Oh well, bring on more food porn for us tomorrow.

Oh, soooo sorry Raglan Road was so awful! I just today made a reservation for it in September...DS & his friend really want to go there for both the food and the entertainment. Wonder if they do a better job with the more traditional Irish dishes? Or are they still on the menu even? Now I seriously have to debate this one. Was the entertainment any good?
Sounds like you're still having the same crummy weather we had -- raining every afternoon/evening just about last week. And not the usual quick downpour & it's over stuff, either -- it was the puddles up to your ankles in places kind of rain. Was hoping people would have a better time this week.
We loved the smallness of the POFQ, and the quietness...and parking close to our building. Yes, the place is looking a little shabby, but we kind of took that as part of the decor, just like the real French Quarter. It has always been clean, anyway and maids were quite attentive. Hop that boat over to DTD one of the days you're going solo -- it's really relaxing and convenient to the Marketplace .

So happy to hear you're enjoying POFQ. A dear friend of mine stayed there last August and just fell in love with resort. She phoned me several times while she was walking the grounds and just raved about the place.
Fantastic news about your extended stay!! :yay: I really liked the Swan! I've heard the diner in the Dolphin has really good burgers and sundaes - no ADRs needed for lunch. Just an idea.

Uh oh I hope my review didnt mess up your plans....I know we didint like it and the 2 ladies next to us didnt like it but by the time we left at 8pm the place was jammed with people...mostly at the bar tho ;)
...
Nope ... didn't mess up our plans for next week:goodvibes
I booked all our ADRs at the 90 day mark and haven't changed one as DJ's DH and I have been married 25 years (next Wednesday) and unlike Todd he knows better than to mess with my WDW planning:lmao:
Maybe we will hit RR for a drink after dinner at the Turf Club Tuesday night:confused3
I do have to say that your awesome trip/dining reports have inspired me to THINK about posting a live report for this trip.

I was sooo bummed that I ran out of TS credits for my upcoming trip. I wanted to make an ADR at Raglan Road, but it was my last choice. I'm glad I didn't choose Raglan Road over the other restaurants I booked now! Since your dining experience wasn't so great- you know the best is yet to come! Have a wonderful time.:wizard:

I've always thought, "Hmm...I might like to try Ragland Road." Nope. Done. Off the list. What a terrible start to the trip - I KNOW it'll get better.
As for being nervous about SAI and Nine Dragons - I LOVED Nine Dragons...yummy!!! And the servers were really kind and accomodating - they were right there to help and bring anything we needed. SAI...our server was wonderful. The chips and salsa were tasty - as was the margarita. The atmosphere was nice - but the food we ordered...BLECH. It was not good. I loved the other parts but it wasn't enough for me to go back. Glad I tried it though - otherwise, I'd never known if I liked it or not...
I hope you have a great time there and can convince me otherwise.

Sorry to hear about RR...sorry it sucked. :sad2: Look at it his way..it canonly get better after that..the worst has already happened so it should be all good from her on out. Can't wait to see what you have to say baout the POFW food court. Menu sounded OK but I'm curious since we're staying here in August (as a suprise for DH). It's out anniversary and thought it's a bit more romantic than POP.....;)

I have been looking forward to this report, you do such good dining reviews. It's unfortunate that RR was so horrible, but on the bright side, it will make you really appreciate the food at Cali Grill. Now take a deep breath, jump right in and order the susi tonight. I'm so jealous.

Sorry about your experience at RR. Sounds much like our experience on the CS side of RR, Cooke's of Dublin. The food was just very greasy and tasteless. I was actually nauseated the entire evening after we ate there. Gross. Never again.

Hi, Miss Nikki!
Finally coming out of longtime lurkdom - BOO! on RR! How dare they! You aren't in Ireland - it is ok to have ICE in your TEA! And I have looked at so much food porn on these boards - that bread and butter pudding was NOTHING like what I have seen....
It can only go up from here!
(And I am waiting impatiently for the Swan review - who has the best sheets? How is the location?)
Thanks for braving Disney on our behalf! :flower3:

POFQ is awesome so far, granted we have not seen much of it but it is the most relaxing place we have stayed in, mod or not we just love it! To sleep through the night without lots of noise, doors slamming, kids yelling, toilets flushing is a great place to me!
I'm glad at least that your night got better once you checked in. We loved POFQ when we stayed there. Maybe I'm just partial because that's where we got engaged , lol. We debated between POFQ and POR (after we decided to save money and switch from WL :confused3). In the end we decided to try something new, so here's hoping we like it as much as FQ.
I agree with the other posters, what a shocking experience at RR :scared1:. I will be making that WPC adr today. DH said he preferred the menu at WP and I was a little bummed because I thought RR looked good and loved that they have Irish dancers. But the food is most important after all. If I really want to watch a good Irish dancer I'll ask my sister to dance for me and save myself the $90! I'm sorry you had such a bad dinner! I hope they get better!

I'm so sorry your first night was such a downer! I was considering sneaking in RR somewhere on our next trip because DH and I both love Irish music (and beer!), but now I think I will wait for another trip....we don't have enough days there on this trip to waste a meal when there's so much good eating elsewhere. Thank you for your kind words! So far today was a great CS food and snack day..coming up in a sec!
How can they call it "ice tea" with no ice?
Sorry that the meal was such a disappointment. Give Todd a little nudge so you can go get some Beignets!
Thats what I said, I guess you call it room temp tea :rotfl: Wait until you see what Todd did at breakfast.....

Love your dining reviews!
I am so anxious to hear about your Cali Grill experience tonight. We were there in November and had a WONDERFUL meal. Are you going to be brave and order the sushi? It's fantastic!
Thanks and welcome! I might try the sushi but the lobster risotto and the corn bisque and the shrimp salad all sound wonderful.....maybe I will just order one of everything!
WOW! That was a bad start! :sad2: I have to say, I wouldn't expect pasta and meatballs to be good at an Irish Pub, but your dish was bad  I truly hope you have a wonderful experience at the Cali Grille. It's one of our all time favorite meals! :yay: I have Tony's down for lunch one day. That veggie calzone Todd had looked good!! :thumbsup2
So happy to hear you're enjoying POFQ. A dear friend of mine stayed there last August and just fell in love with resort. She phoned me several times while she was walking the grounds and just raved about the place.
Mare
Hi Mare! The meatballs were Guinness meatballs so I thought they would be good...my mistake! You will love Tonys, DH calzone was awesome! The POFQ is incredible! We just walked around the grounds and checked out the pool...it is so quiet and relaxing here I want to stay again and again!

Hi Nicki!
Remember to ask for Ron tonight at the California Grill :thumbsup2 And tell him Megan, who he served a few nights ago, sent you :goodvibes
A few of my fav CG items:
The Shrimp Tempura Roll - this is NOT on the menu! It costs $20, and is a tempura shrimp, rolled in white nori (rice paper) with mango and watermelon, served with an orange ginger sauce. It is to DIE for! And a great way to get into sushi :woohoo:
The Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli - it is creamy, tangy and the perfect size, about 5 or 6 bites. Nice to share.
The Seared Pork with Goat Cheese Polenta - OMG heaven on a plate. It is the restaurant's signature dish and the only entree I have ever had.
The Valrhona Chocolate Cake - the current offering is with Strawberry Ice Cream and Strawberry Sauce, but they will sub vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce if Strawberry doesn't float your boat.
WINE = Conundrum, $13/glass, the BEST white ever. Crisp, slightly sweet with the perfect tartness, fruity and delicious
And...if you are feeling REALLY adventerous....the Spicy Kazan Roll...shrimp, crab, bay scallops, tuna, fireball sauce and tempura crunch...my FAVORITE sushi roll at California Grill :cloud9:
Enjoy your meal!
Oh! And can you ask about the flatbreads? They weren't on the menu on Monday and I forgot to ask about them :headache:

Hey Miss Wendy! Thanks for reading and yeah, what the heck is with no ice for the drinks??? My bread pudding was nothing like what I saw on the Dis either, so bummed out! Secretly I am sooo excited to do WDW by myself...it is just for Tuesday ...DH will be gone 6 am to 7pm so that is alot of time to kill and I am up for the challenge! I was thinking of grabbing a TS lunch somewhere, maybe Tutto?
I'm glad at least that your night got better once you checked in. We loved POFQ when we stayed there. Maybe I'm just partial because that's where we got engaged , lol. We have stayed at POR three times and enjoyed it but it is like night and day from POFQ....such a huge difference! The music and the dancing at RR was great, I would grab a drink at the bar and just listen and watch and skip the food!

We are back for a while to rest and beat the rain...we started out a bit late because "someone" would not wake up...I did cancel our Sci Fi ressie but that was ok, we know we like the place and maybe we will make it over there on Monday.
Stepping outside our door was beautiful sunshine and here are some pics from around our room, building 3.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09037.jpg
So peaceful and quiet, and it was just 10am! I cannot wait to stay here again, we are just loving this place!
We decided to eat breakfast at the food court, I told DH to get in line and we would share a breakfast platter and I would get the beignets and he wanted a cinnamon bun...if you guys read my reviews you will know Todd has never met a cinnamon bun he did not like!
Word of advice here ladies, never let a hungry man get the food...because he will get too much! The boy comes over to me with a biscuits and gravy platter, a king creole platter and a fruit plate, plus a large OJ (which I am not a fan)....I said to him "Hungry much? Who is joining us for breakfast??" It was only $17 because we used our TIW card here for 20% off! That is a deal! If you are staying at the POFQ make sure you purchase your bottled
drinks here instead of the gift shop so you can save $
There wasnt anyone in the CS place, it was dead quiet, no lines for any food either...that is a great sign! Love a nice quiet CS place.
I ordered a 3 piece beignets, they came loaded with powdered sugar. The guy put the sugar in the bottom of the dish and then the beignets on top and doused them with more powdered sugar. They were light and wonderful and reminded me of fried dough, not funnel cake but the fried dough we get in New England. DH inhaled before he bit it and the powdered sugar was everyone, it was hilarious! DH had 2 and I had 1...pastry hog that he is! Very good but I dont know if we would get them again.....the cinnamon bun was much better!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09038.jpg
Onto the cinnamon bun, it was warm, it was gooey and it was not big enough to share with DH...I think he has a sick addiction to sweet pastries! Possibly the best (close second to Main Street Bakery) that we have had at WDW...we are def getting another one tomorrow!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09039.jpg
Here is the large OJ
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09042.jpg
The fruit is outstanding, cold and fresh and sweet and not mushy...we had to fight over the honeydew....sooo good!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09043.jpg
Biscuits and gravy is DH's thing...we did not have this stuff when I was a kid but when I moved to FL 19 years ago I was introduced to "slop on a plate" and the best is at Bob Evans...DH is not that picky and will eat it anywhere. He really liked this but I thought it was ok...the biscuits at WDW are not the greatest but there was alot of gravy and it actually had sausage in it when most WDW places do not. For $3.39 it is a steal and of course DH ate almost all of it.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09040.jpg
The King Creole platter had terrible potatoes, super dry scambled egg bits, great sausage link (just one) DH ate the bacon and said it was ok and a semi good biscuit....I told him next time he is in line for eggs get me creamy semi wet ones instead!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09041.jpg
I didnt eat too much here but suprise suprise all the food was gone...my little piggy ate everything...hmmmmm still hungry after last nights dinner??

After breakfast we caught the bus to HS...empty bus station, empty bus until our last stop at POR and then it filled up. No lines to enter HS, no lines for ride except Toy Story had an hour wait so we skipped it for now. It was hot, the sun was out but there were dark clouds all over. We did the Backstage thing and didnt notice any changes from the long rehab it had. After a bit I needed something cold to drink and guess who wanted a pretzel?
I wandered into the Writer's Stop and they had a passionfruit mango freeze...it was amazing, not too sweet, nice and cold and this man following me around drank most of it...I offered to buy him his own but he said nah...and proceeded to drink it all...I love him but come on get your own! :rotfl: They also had this drink at the Villian's store next to Starring Rolls.

Can you believe those biscuits & gravy -- once my DH found out they had them, that was all she wrote, no more pastry for him the rest of the week! Some days he added a side of sausage (he really liked it too.) Can't wait for your take on the Cali Grille.
And thanks for the pictures from your room -- makes me "homesick" already, and I just left there less than a week ago! And going back in 12 weeks...
we've stayed at 5 different Disney resorts, and while we like the monorail resorts for convenience factor, for overall "vacation" feel we love POFQ. It's so easy to relax there...so glad you're enjoying it.
Cathy
P.S. if you go back to Writer's stop -- try those carrot cake cookies. OMG, heavenly!!!

We left HS and headed back to our resort to relax for a while and clean up for Cali Grill! DH said hey we didnt eat lunch, I swear what is it with men and the empty stomach thing?? I told him he could grab a bite at the CS in POFQ....he seemed happy with that.
We arrived back to our super quiet and empty resort to a very empty CS...it was awesome!
DH ordered the beef taco salad with all the fixings, olives, onions, tomatoes, salsa and sour cream...it was awesome! He loved it and the shell was not greasy or stale like the Pirate and the Parrot in MK. We def need to get that again! It was a good size and I actually got 3 bites of it! Yay for me!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09052.jpg
I got another fruit cup, needed to eat a little something that will not fill me up and it was awesome...nice and cold and sweet and refreshing!
We walked to the pool and spa area, super quiet and not alot of people there so I think we are going to eat breakfast at SFW, lunch there too and make it a pool day...MK is open until 1am tomorrow so we will go there around 4 and hang out all night!
Now we are just relaxing and will leave in about 20 minutes or so to catch the MK bus and walk over to CR for Cali Grill! Epcot is open until midnight so we might head over there after dinner but I promise to post dinner reviews and pictures tonight so wait up for me!

Remember to ask for Ron tonight at the California Grill :thumbsup2 And tell him Megan, who he served a few nights ago, sent you :goodvibes
Hey! Ron is MY favourite server! :lmao:
As I told you before, Nicki, he really looks after his guests, so if he is working today, definitely ask to be seated at one of his tables!!
And tell him that the Austrians who send him chocolate sent you too!! ;)
Just a reminder, Walter is a really good backup!!!
Have fun tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!! I so hope you get to catch the fireworks from the walkway outside the CG!

Hi! I read through many of your dining reviews before our first trip to WDW at the beginning of May, and I love your current reports!! We stayed at FOFQ also and absolutely fell in love with it!! It was incredibly quiet the entire time and very beautiful.
I cannot believe the pictures of the food at RR! How awful. We went there on a whim May 15th and loved it!! The bread pudding you had looks nothing like what I was served for dessert! Yours looks like a dried bread mountain range or something! We also had an amazing waiter who explained to me that I should hollow out a hole in the middle of the bread pudding with my spoon, pour both the custard sauce and butterscotch sauce in the hole, and wait a few minutes before eating it. It was amazing. Our waiter was really attentive and kept checking back to make sure everything was good. I'm so sorry you had bad service.

OMG....I so wish I could be at WDW right this second. Looks like the weather's great and the food looks soo good. DH loves his biscuits and gravy too. At every family gathering (my family and his) he has to eat last!! If he went 1st, there'd be nothing left, he and Mickey must share that bottomless pit stomach. I just don't see where it all goes :confused3
Think I'll wait up to read about Cali Grill, too. With my non WDW popcorn....I have a bucket, so I can pretend I'm at WDW..

Hey Nikki,
Do not worry about Nine Dragons, my family has ate there many times and it is always on our list for the next visit. The food is always so fresh. You have to try the cheesecake egg rolls. They are to die for.
Those cupcakes looks yummy at Starring Rolls, will def. have to get the butterfinger one!
Have a wonderful dinner.

I am thinking of trying to convince Todd to cancel SAI for something else in Epcot...you know, try and make him think that it is his idea or something. I would rather try Morocco or go back to Beirgarten but DH had SAI in mind since we both enjoyed lunch there in Oct.
I'm still reading your pre-trip posts but I had to comment on this quote. I do that with my DH all the time - he has no idea how many things we do that were't originally his idea! :rolleyes1 Our upcoming trip is a great example of the technique! :goodvibes

Great review! I just caught up on your new photos, and I have to say :worship:Thank you for posting your review and photos from Raglan Road. I just made lunch ADRs there last week for July, and now I have time to reconsider our options! We've never been there before, and the menu looked good -- but yuck! Salty stew and creepy meatballs -- no thank you!
I'm looking forward to your CG review, and I really hope that your other dining experiences will make up for the first one...:sad2:

We are back early tonight because of the dumb rain...we wanted to stay out late but it is just miserable outside so we are back in the room and relaxing, digesting from tonights dinner at California Grill.
We left our room and went to the bus stop at 4:45...within minutes the bus for MK pulled up, we are the only ones on it...the driver said "so where are you going to dinner because you are too dressy for MK!" I told him Cali Grill and he said get the pork....funny because the doorman at POFQ main lobby said the same thing.
The thunder and lightening was going but no rain yet. We checked in at the 2nd floor podium, requested a window seat. We were brought up to the 15th floor, lots of people in the lounge area and at 5:35 we were all seated. We had a fantastic window seat with a view of the GF, the monorail line, the Castle and such...except it was getting ready to storm big time.

The menu looks great for Cali Grill! Thank you for posting it! ...I think I know one of our ADRs for our Nov trip. Can't wait to read the food review!
It's so funny how this board (mainly you and Pooh's Honey Pot) have completely changed the way I vacation at WDW. DH and I used to eat burgers and chicken fingers all week long, solely cs locations. Occasionally we'd throw in Sci-Fi, but that wasn't venturing too far out of our comfort zone. There is just this whole amazing world of food out there that I never knew about. I'm so excited to start planning our ADRs for our Nov trip!

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill019.jpg
Our server was Erika and she was wonderful...great service at Cali Grill...we felt spoiled!
DH started with a sparkling wine, I have no idea why he likes sparkling the best but this one was very dry and too bitter for me but he enjoyed it. Roederer Sparkling Brut, Anderson Valley
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill014.jpg
Thanks to TinkerBelle_325 for recommending Conundrum...I had a glass of that and it was wonderful!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill013.jpg
Out came the bread and butter, the butter is room temp with rock salt on top...very creamy rich wonderful REAL butter! The bread was a warm mild sourdough and we loved it...I could have had 2 baskets of that stuff....DH said sure beats Soda Bread huh!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill020.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill021.jpg
The starters were a huge problem for us, did I want to try sushi (Todd said UH NO THANK) and did I want a flatbread (Todd said he wasnt FEELING the flatbreads) and would the risotto be too filling...well my beloved ordered a .... wait for it... FREAKIN CAESAR SALAD...dude what the heck? We are at Cali Freakin Grill and you order a salad? He looked at me and said "Did you just meet me?" So the boy ordered his lame salad ... except it was excellent. I practically begged to try it and it was awesome, so much flavor, so fresh...it was wonderful.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill028.jpg
Now I had a tough choice to make because I wanted sushi, flatbread, the lobster risotto and the shrimp salad but I decided on the lobster risotto with midnight moon goat cheese, lobster oil and meyer lemon beurre blanc. This was great but you get maybe 3 tablespoons of food....DH said it tasted rich, I thought it was very good, not too rich, not too salty and there was a lot of lobster pieces in it. I had to resist the urge to get more bread and sop up all the wonderful sauce...hey I am Italian, we eat with a fork in one hand and a loaf of bread in the other!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill026.jpg
So I knew I was going to order the Grilled Pork Tenderloins with Goat Cheese Polenta, Button Mushrooms and Zinfandel Glaze. The pork is cooked medium and is literally melt in your mouth tender, the polenta was super creamy and had a wonderful tangy rich taste...went perfect with the pork. The zinfandel glaze was amazing, it was the best sauce I have ever had with pork. DH had the mushrooms and he said they were great. DH loved my pork...but wasnt keen on the medium part so he ate the edges and I ate the wonderful middle. This was a huge amount of food, 3 huge portions of pork!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill033.jpg
DH had the Oak Fired Filet of Beef with Cheesy Idaho Potato Mash, Buttered Asparagus and Teriyaki BBQ Sauce. I told him to order it medium, the boy prefers his steak gray :scared1: but on this single occassion he actually listened to me...first time for everything I guess! The filet came out med-rare, my favorite but he shocked me by eating some of it! The potatoes were great, the asparagus was wonderful but the teriyaki bbq sauce ruined the filet...it was just too smokey tangy for the filet but DH said it reminded him of the BBQ Maple Filet from Le Cellier..he was happy BUT he said the pork was clearly the winner of the best entree award. Next time we would order it without the sauce
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill034.jpg
Dessert anyone? Of course and this time I made DH get a different dessert than me so we could try more things! Again he listened! He had coffee, I stuck to water.
I ordered the Black Walnut and Chevre Cheesecake, it was so light, so flavorful, the berries were fresh and delish, the raspberry coollie was tart and sweet and the perfect twist to the cheesecake...I think I had 2 bites and Todd's fork made it to my plate and I lost custody of my dessert.....he ate cookie and said it was like a nut brittle and he ate my chocolate stick and said it was a great chocolate...not waxy at all....wish I could experience it!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill004.jpg
DH ordered the Valrhona Chocolate Cake with Strawberry Ice Cream. It is served warm and the ooey gooey thick chocolate spills out all over the plate. It was fantastic. The strawberry ice cream was very mild, not too sweet and it was pretty creamy. The cake itself was great, I am not a chocolate fiend like DH is but I enjoyed it alot, I guess I had to since he commandeered my choice of dessert....just kidding you guys, nuttin but love for the boy!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill017.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill024.jpg
Total with the TIW card was $159...a little much but oh goodness so worth it! DH said to put it on the list for Oct but he was quick to remind me that Jiko filet was still on the top so we have to make sure to go back there too. We had a very relaxing, wonderful fun dinner...but the rain killed the rest of our evening..now DH is snoring away, I am typing away and wondering if I should spike his food with NO DOZE so I can experince WDW! Oh well it is only day one and I know he is just dead tired...I will not complain anymore
For all of you that told me Cali Grill was awesome, a huge THANK YOU! You were all so right!

The cake itself was great, I am not a chocolate fiend like DH is but I enjoyed it alot, I guess I had to since he commandeered my choice of dessert....just kidding you guys, nuttin but love for the boy!

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/CaliGrill024.jpg
Okay...I am now drooling. I didn't eat dinner tonight because DH is umpping two baseball games (trying to make money for those meals in Marco Island) and I hate eating alone. We don't normally do signature restaurants when at Disney but, AS USUAL, your review has changed my mind. That pork looks absolutely perfect--and pork is my favorite! Guess this will be on the top of the list for 2010!
I hope you have a day tomorrow without rain!

My First post. I have been lurking for a while but couldn't resist anymore. Following along and enjoying this totally! Keep it coming. Thank you!
I tempted you out of hiding huh? Glad you are in for the long haul!
Yummo, I am so hungry now I had to send DH to the store to get stuff for hot fudge sundaes. :rotfl:
Can you make ADR's at Fulton's through Disney or do you have to call Fulton's? I am thinking I will cancel Raglan Road and change to Fulton's.
Ooh that sounds yummy! You can make ressies through Disney..that is a great call on your part, we love Fultons and wish we went there instead of RR
I would def change, it was ick! Cali Grill was awesome, you should go there instead :cutie:
That RR food looked like some of the worst I've seen. It can only get better from there.
That passionfruit drink looked awesome and so did the Starring Rolls food. I will have to try it next trip since I can not find good CS at DHS.
Can't wait to hear about the flatbreads!
It was some of the worst I have ever tasted! The passionfruit drink was awesome, so refreshing and light.
You know what is funny? At dinner tonight DH says "Do you remember the days before you studied on the DIS? We used to eat burgers and chicken nuggets on the fly, rush for a table, rush in line...I like this way of dining so much better!" I have to agree with him, it is much better the TS route!

I'm so glad you enjoyed dinner! That risotto looks wonderful. I think the next time I eat at CA Grill I'm going to have to try the pork.

Oh my gosh! Your CG food looks great! We're not seafood eaters and all the reviews have so much seafood on them that I just passed this place over... Now I have some rethinking to do! We haven't had dinner there in 10 years, but now I want to give it a try again!;)
If only I could change my RR lunch to a CG lunch -- that would be so easy!:rotfl:
Glad you had a wonderful meal -- the storm rolling in looked really neat until your final photo where you can't see out the window...:sad2:
Please keep your wonderful reviews coming, and thank you again for taking the time & effort to post them (and all the great photos of the food and the menus!)

Okay the photos of RR were basically the nail in the coffin. Hubby and I decided to change (thank you for your review-hopefully you just spared us the same fate you had)...just got off the phone from changing to WPC. I've seen some good reviews. Have you been there? Please feel free to weigh in on that selection. Thanks and btw, CG looks great. We'll have to try that next time. I've wanted to try Narcoossees for a while now and so that's what we've booked this time.

Hey Mis Amazing One...how is the cruise??? Better there than in water logged WDW!
She seemed to be having fun when she called us before taking off or whatever it is you do on boats earlier, but we'll have to wait till she gets back to find out how it was!

Ok, I've had dinner and thought it was pretty decent. Then I come on these boards and I'm so jealous! Why do I do this to myself? It looks like CG made up for RR big time :woohoo:
Oh how I would love to go back to CG, like tomorrow. I'll keep checking in on your updates to keep me sane until our next trip, whenever that might be.

"Me too...you have got to go to CG...oh jeez I will dream about that place tonight!"
I knew.....I just KNEW you would love this place!!!!!!! I'm tellin' ya...it is my favorite! When we were there in September I had the fillet but I knew I wanted that polenta and Walter asked the kitchen to change it out for me! Soooooo good!!!!!
If you are ever there on a DDP it is 2 TS for dinner there but so worth it! I'm so sorry about the weather Nikki. You'll have to go again another time when you're there and experience Wishes from your seats. I have photos on the desktop but I'm on the laptop right now. I'll post them and show you one day. I'll also have to show you how they delivered DH's gift from me with his dessert! lol Very pretty.......
Now I'll have to try Jiko since your reviews have aligned with my tastes so much.
FYI we aren't going for F&W. I didn't realize that was first week of October. I'm trying to avoid crowds! I would love F&W but DH would have no interest..... HOw is it late October? Quiet?
Sweet dreams!!!!! :)

You will not be disappointed! SEriously though......have a flatbread before dinner in the lounge. We had a chicken one and oh my.....I would have been thrilled with just that. I don't know anyone who has been disappointed at CG. Expensive, yes but by far at the top of the list for Disney dining.

Now you know I had the pork at the Wave back in March and loved it but Cali Grill was sooo much better!
I'm so glad you enjoyed dinner! That risotto looks wonderful. I think the next time I eat at CA Grill I'm going to have to try the pork.
It was incredible! You will love it!
I have to admit, I had butterflies in my tummy waiting for your review of cali grill! I am so glad you loved it. Sorry about the rain!
Ah we are used to the rain living in FL but at WDW it just stinks!

I love seafood but sometimes you need some meat and Cali Grill is a great place to get it! It was a gorgeous storm to watch!

I do that too, eat a Lean Cuisine while drooling over someones else food reviews!
I really wanted to go back to see the fireworks but we did walk out on the catwalks and they were ankle deep in water...I was sliding all over the place so it was just as well that we went back to the resort. You will flip over Jiko, it is fantastic. We usually go mid to late Oct but this year we are going Oct 22 to Nov 1....the crowds are the worst on the weekend, Mon-Thur you will be fine.

Oh shucks girl you are making me blush! Cali Grill was da bomb and I cannot wait to go in Oct again! Hopefully this rain will cease by tomorrow night, I want to try MK at 1am!!

I was so sad, yet thankful to read your review of RR! I was so looking forward to the bread pudding - like all the other food it looked so yucky!! :scared: Time to find another ressie for later this month. Thinking about the Wave, Cape May Clam Bake or the Biergarten. Any thoughts???
I just love your reviews!! You are so amazingly thorough and take so many wonderful pictures! I am going to have to try the passion fruit mango freeze!!
Your Cali Grill review had me drooling!!! Your pork and polenta looked so tasty! I love polenta. I am trying to convince my DH to take a sans kids trip in 2010 for the F&W festival. If it works out we will definitely eat at CG!!!
Sorry it is raining tonight. Hoping tomorrow is rain free! Enjoy your evening

I'll also chime in about your RR experience...what a bummer!!!:scared1: This was one of our new favorites from last trip. The photos of that food looked horrible. We have 2 ADRs for our upcoming trip in a couple weeks. If we have a similar experience we will be changing our 2nd ADR for sure.
So glad you liked CG. Its one of our favorites as well. We love the sushi, you will have to try it next time. Glad you had a great meal.
So how are the crowds over all? Everything looks rather empty.:beach:
