I was so sad, yet thankful to read your review of RR! I was so looking forward to the bread pudding - like all the other food it looked so yucky!! :scared: Time to find another ressie for later this month. Thinking about the Wave, Cape May Clam Bake or the Biergarten. Any thoughts???
I just love your reviews!! You are so amazingly thorough and take so many wonderful pictures! I am going to have to try the passion fruit mango freeze!!
Your Cali Grill review had me drooling!!! Your pork and polenta looked so tasty! I love polenta. I am trying to convince my DH to take a sans kids trip in 2010 for the F&W festival. If it works out we will definitely eat at CG!!!
Sorry it is raining tonight. Hoping tomorrow is rain free! Enjoy your evening
:goodvibes
We had a great meal at the Wave, I have a ton of pics in my March review...Cape May (pics in my Oct link) and Beirgarten (pics in my April link) are awesome, they are a few of DH's favorite places. If you can get to F&W do it, you will not be sorry, you may run into us as well!
I'll also chime in about your RR experience...what a bummer!!!:scared1: This was one of our new favorites from last trip. The photos of that food looked horrible. We have 2 ADRs for our upcoming trip in a couple weeks. If we have a similar experience we will be changing our 2nd ADR for sure.
So glad you liked CG. Its one of our favorites as well. We love the sushi, you will have to try it next time. Glad you had a great meal.
So how are the crowds over all? Everything looks rather empty.:beach:
I cannot even look at those RR pics anymore :scared1::laughing:
Overall the crowds are ZIP! It is great...but then again we have just been to DTD for a few hours and a few hours at HS but Cali Grill was not busy at all, there were a ton of tables open and we were there for 2 hours...but the host said they were sold out that night? Weird. Our resort is a ghost town, no one at the bus stops, no one at the food court...but we are happy about that :woohoo:

Our plans for tomorrow will be another take it easy and relax day, breakfast at the Food Court POFQ, pool and hot tub for most of the morning and afternoon...drinks at the bar I hope and lunch at the food court again....we should get to MK around 4 and we have dinner plans for Tony's....hoping to stay until late 1am but if the rain comes out we will change things around again.
I will do my best to update before we go to MK and maybe when we get back...depends on how wired I am :rotfl:

I was really bummed that I had to cancel RR, but now....:cheer2:. We won't be going to Cali Grill, but WOW! I think you guys went to Jiko, can you remind me what you got. We have ressie for Tues. nite. I hope the rain clears up. Nothing like running in the rain with a 6 yr old and a 2 yr old!!!!:rotfl2:
Thanks,

I think you will be happy that you cancelled RR...Jiko was incredible, we ate there in Oct (link to pics and reviews in my Oct thread) for my b-day and it was the best meal ever...DH is still talking about it!
Hope you have a great trip and that the rain will scram!

OMG! Cali grill looked to die for!!! Do tell about the pork tenderloin dish...did it have a lot of mushroom flavor??? I can not stand mushrooms at all, but there isn't many on the plate, I could push them aside :confused3 I am thinking I may have to change up some things for my upcoming ADR's!! I have seen several reviews of cali grill recently and it looks so scrumptious!

teh wine list you posted - $10 - $15 per glass? Oh well, its Disney, its a night out...
I cant believe you havent been here before!! When we were there last I ordered the chicken entree with gnocchi, I've never had that - it was super delish! The fillet looks wonderful to me - as I was reading it I wondered how it would compare to the LeCellier Fillet of old!! :rotfl2: Yes, my mouth is watering!! Thank you!! :worship:

First off, POFQ holds a special place in my heart as the first Disney resort I've stayed at "on site", back in early 1992, when it was just Port Orleans. It marks the time I was officially spoiled for staying on site. Loved it back then, love it now. And The Resort Formerly Known as Dixie Landings, too.
You're making it VERY hard to skip California Grill in October. I have October and December trips, so I probably could squeeze it in somewhere. Now that the flatbreads are back, I really want to go back.
Actually, it's too bad you're arriving after I leave. I would have split an entire meal with you, based on what you'd want to order. In this case, I would have split a flatbread, the spicy Kazan roll sushi, the risotto, and the pork. Any combination of those items! But I would get the chocolate dessert for myself and would not share. :cloud9:
And the cheese plate! I like Brillat Savarin, and I would try the Bermuda Triangle. I enjoy the Cypress Grove cheeses!
And I gave a bottle of Conundrum as a birthday gift for a friend. I believe she's now hooked on the stuff. ;)

Your son is just like me, never met a gingerbread I didnt want to eat! It was at the Villan's store right next to Starring Rolls...it is so super moist and wonderful! They did not have them at Writers Stop but they did have the carrot cake cookies.
Thanks! :flower3: You just made a little boy so happy!! :yay:
I want to try Narcoossees too, the food looks really good, make sure you let us all know what you think about it
Nicki, Narcoossees is our new favorite signature restaurant. The food is fabulous, the service is wonderful and the view is just amazing. My DH still talks about their Seafood Bisque soup! I discovered if you're staying at the GF you can order room service directly from the restaurant. That's our plan for our water park day, wear the kids out then have a surf and turf on the balcony! :thumbsup2
Overall the crowds are ZIP!
How I wish for no crowds when I arrive next Friday!!! :cool1:
Happy to hear you enjoyed Cali Grill. I didn't know the pork was their signature dish, I had it 9 years ago. It was delicious back then too! :goodvibes
Hey I have to tell ya I canceled TH and switched to Boma. I think it will just be easier to head to a water park from there rather than from AK. I don't feel like trekking thru a park just for breakfast :headache:. DH also agreed and said let's go check out AKL, never been. I was just drooling over your Boma photos. :p The kids can survive one breakfast without characters! ::MickeyMo

We are back for a while to rest and beat the rain...we started out a bit late because "someone" would not wake up...I did cancel our Sci Fi ressie but that was ok, we know we like the place and maybe we will make it over there on Monday.
Stepping outside our door was beautiful sunshine and here are some pics from around our room, building 3.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09037.jpg
So peaceful and quiet, and it was just 10am! I cannot wait to stay here again, we are just loving this place!
We decided to eat breakfast at the food court, I told DH to get in line and we would share a breakfast platter and I would get the beignets and he wanted a cinnamon bun...if you guys read my reviews you will know Todd has never met a cinnamon bun he did not like!
Word of advice here ladies, never let a hungry man get the food...because he will get too much! The boy comes over to me with a biscuits and gravy platter, a king creole platter and a fruit plate, plus a large OJ (which I am not a fan)....I said to him "Hungry much? Who is joining us for breakfast??" It was only $17 because we used our TIW card here for 20% off! That is a deal! If you are staying at the POFQ make sure you purchase your bottled
drinks here instead of the gift shop so you can save $
There wasnt anyone in the CS place, it was dead quiet, no lines for any food either...that is a great sign! Love a nice quiet CS place.
I ordered a 3 piece beignets, they came loaded with powdered sugar. The guy put the sugar in the bottom of the dish and then the beignets on top and doused them with more powdered sugar. They were light and wonderful and reminded me of fried dough, not funnel cake but the fried dough we get in New England. DH inhaled before he bit it and the powdered sugar was everyone, it was hilarious! DH had 2 and I had 1...pastry hog that he is! Very good but I dont know if we would get them again.....the cinnamon bun was much better!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09038.jpg
Onto the cinnamon bun, it was warm, it was gooey and it was not big enough to share with DH...I think he has a sick addiction to sweet pastries! Possibly the best (close second to Main Street Bakery) that we have had at WDW...we are def getting another one tomorrow!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09039.jpg
Here is the large OJ
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09042.jpg
The fruit is outstanding, cold and fresh and sweet and not mushy...we had to fight over the honeydew....sooo good!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09043.jpg
Biscuits and gravy is DH's thing...we did not have this stuff when I was a kid but when I moved to FL 19 years ago I was introduced to "slop on a plate" and the best is at Bob Evans...DH is not that picky and will eat it anywhere. He really liked this but I thought it was ok...the biscuits at WDW are not the greatest but there was alot of gravy and it actually had sausage in it when most WDW places do not. For $3.39 it is a steal and of course DH ate almost all of it.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09040.jpg
The King Creole platter had terrible potatoes, super dry scambled egg bits, great sausage link (just one) DH ate the bacon and said it was ok and a semi good biscuit....I told him next time he is in line for eggs get me creamy semi wet ones instead!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/DisneyFoodJune09041.jpg
I didnt eat too much here but suprise suprise all the food was gone...my little piggy ate everything...hmmmmm still hungry after last nights dinner??
OMG Nikki, your husband sounds EXACTLY like mine. We've stayed at POFQ that last 2 years (and will be there again end of October this year :yay:) and he would always get that creole platter, oatmeal, 2 juices, beignets, etc. We ran out of snack credits in the middle of the week! I was so PO'd!! This time I will be getting the food.
What are your dates for October? It looks like we may be there at the same time :)

Can't wait to hear about Tonys. Have a blast!
Promise to post tonight, finally some yummy calamari!
There was zero mushroom flavor to the dish, the mushrooms were more like a little side addition and DH liked them alot. I am so glad we kept the CG ressie, it was out of this world and I could stare at that view all day!
flatbreads are back, so that means Cali Grill is back on our list!! :rotfl2:
teh wine list you posted - $10 - $15 per glass? Oh well, its Disney, its a night out...
I cant believe you havent been here before!! When we were there last I ordered the chicken entree with gnocchi, I've never had that - it was super delish! The fillet looks wonderful to me - as I was reading it I wondered how it would compare to the LeCellier Fillet of old!! :rotfl2: Yes, my mouth is watering!! Thank you!! :worship:
Yup they are back! Funny though no one around us ordered them and I would have loved to see them. Yes the wine was expensive but that Conundrum was worth it...so good! DH said the filet at Le Cellier was better, for some reason the beef was more tender there. I liked the filet at CG but didnt like the teriyaki bbq that went with it.
Sorry you had a bad food experience at Raglan Road. That polenta and pork dish from CG looks sooooooooo good! Do they have a drooling smilie?
I wish I could go back this week and get the pork polenta dish again, it was that good!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank god and thank you for letting us know!!!!!!!!!
You are so welcome!
Well, I finally finished reading CG review! I am SO glad that you liked it! The two of you just picked my menu :thumbsup2, risotto, pork and the valhrona cake :lmao:

Thank you for all of your recommendations, listening to you and reading your reviews totally paid of for us! The storm was unreal, it was gorgeous to watch it roll in from the 15th floor! Just dont like to do parks in that kind of weather!
Thanks for the CG review - really looking forward to this and thinking I may have t try that pork!!;)
If you love pork you will be blown away by this dish!
Oh my gosh- the pork dish from Cali Grill looked amazing! I have never been there before but I'm definitely heading there the next time I'm in WDW. Sorry the weather was so crappy, hopefully it gets better for you! Enjoy the rest of your trip- looking forward to your reviews :)
I hope you can get the chance to go to CG, DH and I are sitting here still talking about this meal and wondering why we didnt try it sooner! I joked because it will break the bank ha ha!

The POFQ is fast becoming our must do resort...we had the quietest night again, we can actually sleep through and not hear people upstairs or next to us and the toilets are silent ..so far... we are getting into the weekend so more people may arrive.
Oh I think you should go back to CG so I can drool over your pictures! And I would share a meal there with you but I too would have to get my own dessert! :rotfl:

Cali Grill looked great....I can't wait to try it in October! I've read several reviews where people did not care for the sauce on the filet, so I am definitely leaning towards leaving it off myself. DH is a pork fiend, so I am going to recommend he try that....based on your review I think he will love it.

Well I called this morning and was not able to get an ADR for Fulton's for the day we needed. I plan to keep trying in case of cancellation but am thinking of other options also.
I went ahead and cancelled RR. I just have no desire to eat there after seeing those meatballs-yuck. I would rather do CS.
I am thinking of one of these-Nicki do you have any opinions or suggestions for something else?
Or anyone, not just Nicki. This is our AK park day but we planned to head to DTD that evening. I thought maybe try Y&Y for lunch and do CS in DTD that evening? I still really want to try Fulton's.

Thank you so much for the pictures of the Starring Roll Sandwiches. I can't wait to show the family this tonight. How is the dining area?
Well you can thank DH for that, he was sitting outside on the cell phone and I wandered in :rotfl: There are a ton of umbrella tables and chairs right outside Starring Rolls
o man i could not wait to finish reading your review of california grill so i could comment on it! You ordered my 3 favorie things from there, the pork the beef and that chocolate piece of heaven!!! :cloud9:Omg i love it all, i wish you liked the teryaki sauce a little more when i had it last august it wasnt really smokey, maybe they cook it a little different now? I am so glad you liked it!! i hate when people dont like the cali grill lol
o and that goat cheese polenta....holy crap don't get me started
ETA- i totally hear you on the bread thing, my boyfriend always makes fun of me for having a clean plate at the end of every meal. I can' help but finish everything with a piece of bread lol. I'm only half italian but my mom is full and man she taught me well.
i'm sorry i'm writing a novel on your thread but, next time you go to the cali grill order the sonoma goat cheese ravioli and try the bread in that sauce, you will be hooked!
You can count us as Cali Grill lovers! I could eat a huge plate of that polenta it was incredible. I am a bit bummed about the bread at Tonys tonight, the last time we ate there the bread was terrible and recent reviews have complained about the bread too....hope its better this time!
All hail MickeyNicki, our live reporting Goddess!
OMGoodness! Those cupcakes! I wonder if you can get one with a snack credit....
and I knew I was interested in the California Grill, but that looked so yummy - glad to see Disney is making up for last night!
Oh shucks! I think the cupcakes were a snack credit....have you ever been to Cali Grill? If not you should try it!
Thank you so much for doing these live reports! They really make it easier to pass the time till our next trip!
Cali Grill looked great....I can't wait to try it in October! I've read several reviews where people did not care for the sauce on the filet, so I am definitely leaning towards leaving it off myself. DH is a pork fiend, so I am going to recommend he try that....based on your review I think he will love it.
You are welcome, thanks so much for reading them! When are you going in Oct? Cannot go wrong with Cali Grill!
Y&Y
Bongo's
Wolfgang Puck
Jiko's
Flying Fish
I have not been to Tony's since 2005, cant wait to see your review. We loved it when we went though.
Fultons is the best but on an AK day I would go to Jiko, the food there was amazing. Flying Fish is awesome too, we are going there on Tuesday night.
We did Tonys in March and really enjoyed it, DH requested it for this trip.
looking forward to the Tony's review!!! We want to try it for the first time in October!!
Coming up late tonight!
Update:
I called the dining number listed on the Fulton's website and was told I could pick the time I wanted for that day (8/3) so I have an ADR there now!! :woohoo:
That is great! DH gets the king claws and I get the fried lobster tail, not on the menu but they will make it for you...the best ever!
HOORAY! One of our all-time favorites!
This is the chick that got us hooked on Fultons!
I'll pack some Ziplocks! :rotfl:
Hey Nicki, any interest in Paradiso 37? Their menu looks good :thumbsup2 It opens today. So far they don't accept TiW or DDP. :sad2:

Good idea! Thanks for the menu link, I totally forgot about this place...maybe it will be our arrival dinner for our next trip. The menu looks pretty fun!

Love your report so far, giving me lots of great ideas for our Sept trip. I can make our ADRs soon and am very excited. Love your review of POFQ, we are staying here for the first time in sept after staying deluxe for our last 4 trips. Needed to save some bucks on this trip. Know what I mean !!!:thumbsup2
I totally know what you mean! We have stayed at all the resorts except SSR and GF and I think this one is our most relaxing resort yet. We spent the day at the pool and had a great time...you will love this place!
OOOHHH that menu looks YUMMY!!!!
I wish I could order one of everything!
Oh my goodness, your pork dish looks amazing!! This is definitely a restaurant I would like to try on my next trip! Can't wait to read more!
Wonder if they will give me the recipe so I can make it at home!

Hi everyone! We are back in the room after a day at the pool...and we need some nap time, the sun just zaps your energy...well DH's energy I am still hyper and ready to go
We had breakfast at the food court again, it was a bit busier than yesterday but we did arrive earlier than yesterday too so that may have something to do with it. I went to get a bagel and a cinnamon bun and DH was to get his stuff and I requested a plate of eggs.
They were sold out of bagels :scared1: so I got a croissant instead. It was very very greasy but still good...just too greasy for me to get another one.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday005.jpg
And remember that I wanted JUST eggs? He doesnt listen to me all the time and got me sausage, which I do love but cannot eat it every day or my fingers will swell like little sausages! The eggs were not as dry as yesterday, much better this morning! Sausages were good too, had to eat them as DH doesnt like them (but he likes sausage gravy go figure)
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday001.jpg
More fruit, I just love fruit and eat it all the time. Again it was cold, fresh and sooo sweet!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday002.jpg
Another cinnamon bun and I actually had more than one bite this time, I was allowed 2! :lmao: It was warm and sweet and sticky and perfect, loaded with cinnamon too!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday003.jpg
DH had the King Creole platter again but with all bacon, the bacon was crispy and not greasy, the potatoes were better than yesterday and he ate the biscuit with butter and jelly...I was surprised that he skipped the gravy..but there is always tomorrow!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday004.jpg
We used our mugs for Nescape for DH and ice tea for me...the ice tea is awesome...very fresh! There are a ton of guests using old POR mugs, other resort mugs and such but we are using our 2009 mugs that we bought in March...hey at least our mugs are the current ones! Not one CM is commenting on the out of date mugs either....not saying it is right, wrong or whatever but I am just letting you know what I am seeing.
Saw lots of people checking out this morning, it was a gorgeous sunny day with a nice breeze...perfect for the pool! Tons of empty pool chairs, hardly anyone in the pool, the hot tub was closed this morning but opened at noon. We stayed out for a while, DH napped and I read a book..we had a great relaxing day. When the bar opened I went and got us these little treats, TIW is not accepted at this pool bar.
Here is a strawberry/mango with Bacardi frozen treat...it was great, nice and smooth, not gritty and not too strong, I would have preferred more rum but it was still good.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday007.jpg
And this is the Fusion Lemonade with citrus rum, XFusion and minute maid lemonade and I think a splash of Sprite...OH JEEZ this was great! DH hogged the first one so I had to go back and get another...much more refreshing than the other drink, I could suck these puppies back all night long!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday006.jpg
Someones belly starting rumbling so we decided to get lunch and go back to the room for a nap before heading out to MK. DH ordered another taco salad, beef one again, but this CM was super generous on the fillings so it was twice the size as the one last night, but it was still awesome! Very good food at this place!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday010.jpg
He also had a chocolate chip cookie...he said it was terrible! Too greasy and had no flavor at all...I took his word for it because I could see the grease all over the napkin and his fingers...BLECH!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday011.jpg
I opted for the hot muffaletta....this was wonderful. A generous amount of salty salami, ham and provolone with the olive spread on it. It was a nice salty though, like an Italian hoagie or something, The bread was soft and chewy and tasty and not prepackaged tasting at all...I would get this again in a heartbeat. It is a huge portion and I could only eat half, have no fear Todd stepped up and ate the rest.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/POFQpoolday008.jpg
You get a choice of homemade chips or pasta salad and I had the pasta salad...this was so fresh and clean and light tasting I wish I had a huge plate of it...chick peas, tender pasta, onions and cucumbers in a very light, almost Italian dressing like, marinade and it was so light you could not even see it on the pasta but one bite and the flavors just burst in your mouth....Poor DH he just had the one bite.....PAYBACK PAL, PAYBACK!

Great report so far, Nicki! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your reviews. :)
Fyi, when we stayed at POFQ back in 2000, you could get your pool bar drinks with a "floater" on top for like $1. The "floater" is an extra shot of booze. Don't know if they're still doing that, but if you like a stronger drink, try asking for it.

So, pretty sure I'll be sorry I asked (b/c I just know it'll be one of those DUH why didn't I know that, but what does TIW stand for, please? :goodvibes
Sometimes the pools bar drink seem rather weak to me too - based on that I ordered something especially yummy with rum at BWV a couple of years ago and was sick all day b/c I expected it to be weak and had not had lunch first.:guilty:
Is tonight Tony's? Oh, boy!! Yummy!!

I've noticed with the scrambled eggs, the earlier you get them, the "softer" they are - I of course prefer them solid hard - so I always get them runnier than I prefer!! :lmao:
I also have a hard time turning down biscuits and gravy!! I may have to rethink staying at a moderate! (and its all your fault!! :rotfl2: :worship:)

Thank you so much for reading them! Good evening ya'll! We are back from our "late night" at MK...I knew we would never last until 1 am, who was I kidding!
We made it to the bus stop around 5pm...a full bus heading to MK. The sun was shining and the weather was perfect, around 80 or so..I guess a cold front blew in :lmao:
Main Street was pretty packed but DH had to take a call so he went into the City Hall thing on the left and I had a front row seat to the new Celebrate Parade..third time I have seen it but it gets me dancing in the streets!
By the time he was done with his call it was time to check in for Tonys...the line to check in was backed up out the door...it was packed. We checked in without a hitch, waited 5 minutes and were seated directly in front of the fountain...I was staring at this gorgeous thing all night.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/MKnightSat004.jpg
And believe it or not NO ONE came up to take pictures of or in front of the fountain, it was a very nice table, half booth half chairs.
Here are some pics of the menu

Our server, Jay, was awesome, very nice and funny and quick on the drink refills which is a huge plus for DH. He gets nuts if is drink runs dry. Jay brought over hot fresh chewy and crusty bread with olive oil full of dried basil, red pepper and other spices...it was amazing..we killed off all 6 slices and Jay was quick to bring more...smart lad.

DH had (suprise suprise) a craving for a caesar salad...this one was great too! Lots of garlic, a little too much dressing for me but he likes his salad wetter than me, the croutons were nice and crunchy, it was a delish salad and we had no problem polishing it off (I am going to post the next few pics with and without flash, I was having camera issues)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/MKnightSat013.jpg
And of course we had to have calamari..I wish I ordered this as an entree too...the calamari at Tonys is incredible...the coating is super light, not greasy at all, the squid is so tender and not chewy or tough..the olive relish that comes on it is soooo perfect with the calamari, a nice zing and you do not need the marinara sauce (which is ick anyways)

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/MKnightSat006.jpg
I decided on the veggie eggplant...and Todd took it over and I will tell you why in a sec. There was roasted eggplant, red peppers, onions and zucchini layered in the lasagne and it was awesome....delish, light, tons of flavor and I think I had 3 bites of it.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/MKnightSat014.jpg
DH decided on the Rigatoni Fagioli with grilled chicken in a curry veggie broth...I told him he wouldnt like it but he loves pasta fagioli so he thought he would like this....he thought wrong. That is when he switched my plate with his. The dish was different thats for sure....there was alot of cannellini beans and pasta and chicken and that was very good with more parmasan cheese on it but there was a scazillion capers in it and we do not do that many capers...there was zip taste of curry broth, tasted like a chicken broth to me. But being a nice wife I ate the pasta and chicken while he raved over the lasagne. You can get this dish veggie style, with chicken or shrimp. I would get it again with shrimp and hold the capers.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/MKnightSat017.jpg
We shared a dessert...the sorbet was green apple sugar free or the cheesecake was cannoli cheesecake and DH loves cannolis so we got that. IT WAS DA BOMB! Very light and creamy, hint of pistachio, chocolate and orange zest....YUMMO I could eat this all the time. We also had tea and coffee and just lingered for a bit...we were not rushed at all!

After dinner we popped into the Candy Store and HEY MARE they did not have any gingerbread men. The place was super packed so I could not take a lot of pictures but I did see these new gummy pops and I thought they were so cute.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/MKnightSat025.jpg
We went into the Bakery and it was packed to the gills as well. I wanted to snap lots of menu pictures for you guys but everything was nuts. It was after 7pm and I guess alot of people eat at that time
We did ride a few rides with zero wait but Splash Mountain had a 70 minute, BTRR had 50 minutes so we did a walk on for POTC and HM. It was a very busy night but we did catch the parade, the fireworks and we thought it would clear out but it never really did. We did have a 20 minute wait for BTRR and it is great to ride that at night in the last car...so fast!
Then we went to Fantasyland and did all the kiddie rides and decided to turn in but DH needed something sweet and not much is open, Peco Bills and Caseys had lines out the doors. Aloha Isle was open so I got a glass of ice cold sweet and tangy pineapple juice...love this stuff!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/MKnightSat027.jpg
And DH got a baby aspirin dessert...oh my bad, the citrus swirl. It is orange sherbert like stuff and vanilla ice cream...basically a frozen baby aspirin! ICK but he loved it.

Thank you so much for that :thumbsup2 on Tony's. It's our 4th attempt to try it and we never made it for one reason or another, but the calamari look devine and I love eggplant, so that lasagna is calling my name!

Then I looked at the clock and realized it's after midnight and a few minutes ago is now yesterday. Wooh I think it's time for bed.

Yup, always late for something...that's me! LOL! HEY GIRLFRIEND!!!!:flower3: I wouldn't miss your food reviews for anything! Looking forward to planning out the trip in Oct... thanks to your assistance!
HI Kathy!!!! (you're right, you would find me visiting Nicki & Todd's dining review! I just missed a little though... but I'm here!!!) We were originally going to stay at POFQ, but I was concerned after staying at WL, and the bus rides to Epcot, AK and DHS...I was bus sick consistently every morning!!!) I'm hoping that staying at CSR, I'll be able to actually EAT my breakfast instead of wishing I could eat it! Maybe next time...
I DO NOT like capers... which is one reason I don't like puttanesca sauce on my pasta...BLECK!!! There looks like a lot of chicken on there! The calamari looks YUMMO!!! What is the olive topping like? I would rather have HOT peppers topping the yummy rings o'goodness! (need a smilie that's rubbing it's belly! :lmao:)
I would rather a cap. float instead of baby aspirin swirl. (and will have one in Oct!!!!!!!!)
Patiently waiting for more reviews :surfweb: (this is literally me at the moment! W/my tea! lol!)

Loving your reviews, pics & opinions, Nicki! Sounds like you've picked some winners this time.
So glad you're enjoying POFQ -- we love staying at the deluxes, but for the money & a really relaxing place just can't beat POFQ. And you're ordering the same stuff we get at the food court! The muffalettos, taco salads and breakfast foods are favorites of ours, too. Just an FYI -- your description of the muffaletto as Italian hoagie type food is right on target...I looked up the history of that sandwich & it's actually a hot sandwich that was created by Italian immigrant street vendors in New Orleans.
The homemade milk shakes at POFQ are very good -- DD had the vanilla bean, her BFF had the chocolate...they also had the mint chip once too.

Hi everyone! We woke up early this morning, around 8am and went to the food court for breakfast. I told DH that I wanted a bagel and fruit and that was it! He said he was going to get just oatmeal and a cinnamon bun...YA RIGHT
I did get a plain bagel, it was very large and good...they gave me 2 cream cheese and that was plenty. They also had cinnamon raisin bagels.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday001.jpg
The fruit was the same as before, very fresh, cold and sweet...I love it!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday005.jpg
OJ for DH, the cinnamon buns are consistantly great, soft, lots of cinnamon, warm and ooey gooey good!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday004.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday003.jpg
And of course his oatmeal
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday002.jpg
Hold the phone...that isnt oatmeal? See what happens when you let men off the leash? He had the egg, cheese and bacon croissant except he doesnt like croissants...so he had the bagel and left me the croissant..yup he put the eggs, bacon and cheese on my cream cheese bagel and loved it...the croissant was not as greasy as yesterday, it was nice and soft...and I wasnt that hungry anyways so I didnt complain...too much ;)
After breakfast we went to the pool until 11:30 and then a storm came through and we went back to the room to shower and get ready for our Epcot day. While I love SFW CS I could not eat lunch there for a third day...know what I mean??

Todd decided on the Asian selection, he had white rice, peppered steak, spicy chicken and lo mein noodles. The steak was tender, the chicken dark meat and he ate it (NO WAY FOR ME) but the veggies it came with were very good, the noodles were tender and very garlicky which I love.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday020.jpg
There is a little section with side salads and such so he got 2 boiled eggs...ick! I cannot eat eggs this way but he loves them
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday019.jpg
I had the veggie cuban and it was awesome, why have I not had this before? There was a portabello mushroom, eggplant, zucchini, onions and roasted red peppers with mustard and pickles, provolone cheese served hot...we both loved it and the portion is huge. All the veggies are roasted and very tender, the bread rocks! I would get this again and again!

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday025.jpg

Marsha had posted a pic on the alcohol thread about a drink called the Welsh Dragon from England...so I had to try one. We went into the jam packed pub and it was a mad house, lots of guys in there yelling and carrying on but I got my drink! It comes in a signature big plastic cup too. It is made with Midori, Peach Schnapps, OJ, Pineapple Juice and Creme de Menthe. HOLY MOLY this drink is insane! We loved it! Cannot wait to get it again!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday033.jpg
Sometime during all this we made it to Mexico to look at the dinner menu...surprise surprise it is not the one that is on the DIS site but the one that is on allears is correct and neither one of us wanted anything on the menu...so guess what? We cancelled it! The only thing open for dinner was Nine Dragons and that meant we had to cancel our ressie for ND tomorrow night but I got 50'S Prime Time instead and then I cancelled Beirgarten and booked Blue Zoo for Monday night...so thats three drinks you guys get to down! :rotfl:

Now I had issues with Nine Dragons since DH had Asian food for lucnh but he loves that kind of food and he said it would be fine with him.
So...I know you guys are dying to find out how the food was...well the food was DISGUSTING! There is a reason this place was wide open for any ressie time, any day, there is a reason the enire restaurant was empty at 6pm...the food is GROSS! :scared1: There is no way that we will ever set foot in here again, I would rather starve than eat here again. Ok so let me explain why.
I told DH that he can order for us, he loves this kind of food and I am happy to eat whatever he gets because it is usually pretty good. We love Pei Wei's and PF Changs so I figured we would be fine.
I had the iced chai tea, very good, very strong. DH had a pot of hot tea.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday046.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday055.jpg
DH ordered the Treasure of the Dragon and selected the pork dumplings and spring rolls, the chicken soup with dumplings, General Tso's chicken and the banana cheesecake egg roll. He also ordered chicken and shrimp egg rolls and fried rice for me.
The dumplings tasted like dish water, the spring rolls tasted like rotten garbage...bad cabbage I guess. The egg rolls were the nastiest thing we have ever been served at WDW ever...I mean totally nasty gross smelly awful blech! They were dark meat chicken, red and green pepper and one teeny shrimp at the very bottom of the egg roll.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday052.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday047.jpg
The soup was a joke, stick a few boullion cubes in hot water and throw in some nasty dumplings, that was inedible as well
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday039.jpg
We could not eat this crap...the waiter noticed and asked if we wanted something else, we said no just please remove it from the table as the smell was making me sick. I wanted to leave but DH said the entrees must be better....uh no I dont think so.
The fried rice was horrid, tasted terrible, dark meat chicken all over it, three overcooked shrimp and too much gross ham. DH dumped soy sauce in it but that made this nightmare worse. The table next to us was going to order it and I whispered to them "Run, save yourself!"
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday050.jpg
The General Tso's chicken was a disaster, not spicy, super thick and sticky sauce, dried out white rice, the chicken was white meat (about time) but the batter was too thick and clumpy and just terrible. The little dumplings had ground up chicken in them, we cut it open and just pushed it to the edge of the plate.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday049.jpg
Again the waiter came by and noticed we did not eat anything, I was so upset that if I spoke I would have cried so DH said the food was not good and he asked if we wanted something else and we said no....he did bring out the banana cheesecake dessert and that was AWESOME! Very creamy and tasty and delicious...wish they had that at the CS stand.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday057.jpg
The restaurant erased the entire bill...we did leave $20 for the drinks and dessert and tip...I felt bad leaving nothing but I felt worse that we ate there. We wonder if we kept our SAI ressie would we have been happier?

Great updates and pictures Nicki!
Lunch and drinks look yummy!
Sorry about Nine Dragons. :sad2: I was hoping you would go to SAI, I hear so many mixed reviews on it I am afraid to try it! :confused3 I know the kids won't eat anything there, but DH & I are looking for somewhere to go to dinner alone in the Epcot/Boardwalk area when they go to the Kids Club at the BC. The kids love LeCellier & Big River, so those are out for our alone dinner!
Enjoy the rest of your trip! :cool1:

We are not having the best luck for TS...DH mentioned that he would prefer TS breakfast and lunch for Oct of just do all signature TS for dinners since they are the best and we have not had any issues with them...personally I would rather do just CS!

It is so funny you are saying I am taking it for the team, DH said something similar the other night :lmao: But seriously we wanted to try these places, we did and some new ones are great and other are not so much! Tomorrow is totally up in the air...DH is so sick right now..I dont know what to do....it has to be the food from Nine Dragons. I am not feeling that great but I didnt eat as much as he did. I think I am going to pop down to the gift shop and get him something for his tummy...and maybe complain to someone about ND...but who?
We are due to check out of here tomorrow, we have ressies at TH at 8:25 but if he is not doing well tonight I am going to cancel it, (Sorry Mare!) and just get him dry toast or something. Maybe I will just let him be and ask for a late check out before moving to the Swan...although he does bounce back faster than I do.
I know we will go to HS tomorrow night (got to get more of the gingerbread men), 50's Prime Time is a fave of ours and we have not been in 6 years. BUT that is pretty heavy food so again we will see....have no clue what we will do for lunch...I have to take a drive by the place where his meeting will be so if we are hungry we may go to DTD or something.
Stay tuned, what we wind up doing will be a surprise to all of us :laughing::laughing:
I hope we get better soon, we still have all day Sun and Mon for food reviews and me solo for Tues and dinner on Tues night plus Wed BOMA breakfast before we hit the road....OY too much food is killing me :scared1::surfweb:
I have been trying to take pics of the food stands and such but MK was slammed last night and Epcot was no picnic today either...but I will try and do my best :worship:

I too, need one of those cups....I didn't even know you could get drinks to go from the R&C pub. Now I can get my beloved Strongbow cider when we go in October. I'm so sorry about ND!!! What a terrible disappointment. I know I would have been on the verge of tears if that had happened to me. Worst of all though is being sick. Ugh, I hit submit before I said everything I wanted to say.
I ate at Nine Dragons in 2006, and while I didn't hate my food, or get sick, I like the local restaurants here in PA better, and they're cheaper too, so ND isn't a restaurant I'd have to go to again, soon, if ever, especially after your review.

Marsha had posted a pic on the alcohol thread about a drink called the Welsh Dragon from England...so I had to try one. Before I comment, I want to send Todd some get well pixie dust! :wizard:
Ok, now time to make some quick comments:
Tony's: "Excuse me sir, would you like some pasta with your capers?" Sheesh! I find them pretty potent, and don't mind them used sparingly. I would have not like his dinner, either. The eggplant lasagna looked fantastic, though. At least you got a couple bites out of it. ;)
Citrus Swirl: I always thought (conjecture on my part since I haven't tried it yet) it would taste like an Orange Dreamsicle. I would never have thought "baby aspirin", but I can totally understand why you might say that! :rotfl2: I have always been turned off by Wint-O-Green Life Savers because they have the same taste as the old school gloopy liquid Pepto Bismol I took as a kid.
Welsh Dragon: Looks like this is popular among the lushy ladies who have posted before me. :lmao: I am totally going to order this, sometime before or perhaps after Brenda buys me a France slushie drink.
Before I continue, I thought it was interesting that Todd has perfected the "bait and switch" technique on you. I can't believe he commandeered your bagel for his sandwich when he wasn't even supposed to get it in the first place. He still owes you, although it seems he's been plagued by bad food karma. More pixie dust. :wizard:
Nine Dragons: There was a reason I avoided this place all these years, and I'm sad to see that even with recent changes, I should still avoid it. I had heard the best thing there was the banana dessert you had. Bummer that the rest was disgusting.

What a nice surprise to find that you are back in the World and treating us to a live report. Thank you!! :flower3:
Sorry to hear Raglan Road was a disaster. Those meatballs looked awful! :scared:
The beignets, on the other hand, looked so yummy. And I'm definitely a New England fried dough fan vs. funnel cake. Might have to make a special trip... :rolleyes1
Cali Grill looks delish. Sorry the view turned so watery but looks like the food made up for it. I see flatbreads back on the menu... weren't they off the menu for a while? (Yes, that totally identifies me as a DIS food porn addict).
Thanks so much for the positive review of Tony's. I think I'm going to try it!
Welsh Dragon. :worship: I wanted to try one anyway but now that I know there is a souvenir cup I REALLY want one! :yay:
So sorry Nine Dragons was such a disaster. That was nice of them to erase the bill. I wonder why Disney just can't seem to make that restaurant work?

Morning, girlfriend. Hope you and Todd are both feeling better today. It's drizzling here, but I'm off to watch youngest place in his softball game before he heads back to school to be at his job in the a.m. Also, DH and I are going to pinpoint our dates for our trip to Marco Island in September this week--will keep you posted. I'll be checking later to see how you and Todd are doing.

When we made our way to the countries I knew I had to get a Peach Snap from the Joy of Tea stand in China...here is a pic of the menu

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday009.jpg
It is not as bright a color as it used to be but the flavor is the same and that is the most important thing! Nice and cold, sweet but not too sweet....delish! If you like peach you will love this drink!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/EpcotSaturday025.jpg
And to go with our drink DH had to get a pretzel from USA...he loves pretzel can ya tell? Nice and hot, not too salty, crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside

:rotfl:
I will have to get one of those welsh Dragon they look so good!

Sorry about Ralgan Road, I'm disappointed because I've always wanted to try that place. And, Nine Dragons even sounds worst. I'm sorry your Dh isn't feeling well. My kids always get sick on WDW towards the end of the trip. I have to be really careful and make sure they eat fruits and veggies or we pay with all that rich food.
I agree about the bread at Sunshine Seasons. Everytime we get a sandwich from there it is AWESOME...

Poor things ...
I hope Todd feels better after a good night's sleep ... it's no fun when your lovey is sick at WDW. :sad2:
Thanks for the hug! We feel much better tonight!
Either that, or just stick with the TS's that you have always enjoyed -- Biergarten, Fulton's, Jiko, Sci-Fi, Tony's, etc.
I think that is exactly what we are going to do
All your anti San Angel karma came back to bite you in the form of a nasty dragon... :) Some of us tried to warn you. :) Sorry it turned out so bad.
Enjoying everything else. :)
I should have listened to you all!
Forgot to say I hope you are both feeling better tomorrow. Go to bed and get some rest.
Just wanted to say hope you both feel better real soon!!!!! I will be finding a new dining location for our upcoming trip in the am.
Thanks you guys! Sleep and Pepto works wonders!
I've had street food in Asia that looked more appetizing than what they served you at ND! I second the poster above....thanks for taking one for the team....now we all know to beware.
I too, need one of those cups....I didn't even know you could get drinks to go from the R&C pub. Now I can get my beloved Strongbow cider when we go in October. And I'm going to take your word on the Welsh dragon and try that as well....although I must admit that I was taken back when you got to Creme de Menthe!
I feel bad for anyone else that ate there last night! Got to get another Welsh Dragon!
I'm so sorry about ND!!! What a terrible disappointment. I know I would have been on the verge of tears if that had happened to me. Worst of all though is being sick. DH and I both got sick after eating at Le Cellier in Jan, it really puts a damper on vacation because you just want to be home when you feel like that.
I hope you both feel better tomorrow morning and have wonderful luck restaurant luck the rest of your stay!
Nicki I'm sorry to hear about your terrible dinner, it's bad enough the food tasted awful but to get sick as well is awful. Hope you feel better tommorrow, try some Pepto and eat lighter tommorrow. Good Luck! Linda :)
Thanks for the well wishes you guys!
Wow, what a day! First, that veggie Cuban sandwich looks fantastic! That is my kind of lunch!:thumbsup2 Second, I'm so sorry you had another bad dinner.:scared1: I hope that is the last of them. Third, I hope you both feel better tomorrow. Sending pixie dust your way!pixiedust:
Your pixie dust worked!
I hope you both feel better. I remember when I was sick at Disney, and I wasn't even really that sick, but I just didn't feel up to being in the park, and cancelled meal reservations, and everything. It's no fun at all.
We have been lucky so far, the only other place that made us ill was Chef Mickeys dinner back in 06
Sorry about your experience at the ND. It sounds horrible! I hope your husband starts feeling better very soon!
Hope you are both feeling better tomorrow.
Thanks for posting Tutto's menu. I'm sorry to see they still don't have the pasta with crabmeat, I'm still hoping to try that. I'm looking forward to the rest of your reviews. :goodvibes

Sorry you and DH don't feel well. I hope you both have a speedy recovery!
So sorry to hear about your ND dinner and your DH. DD got sick on our last trip after eating at Sci-Fi!; we ended up buying all of the Pepto-B in the gift shop! Hope you were able to find some for DH and hope both of you are feeling better!
I am so sorry to hear you had such a horrible experience at ND! We were considering it for our next trip:scared1:, but could not fit it in - now I am glad it worked out that way!
I hope you both feel WAY better this morning and can enjoy another day at WDW! :goodvibes
Thanks for the well wishes, they helped alot!
This will be mine in October! :drinking1...I want that cup!
I really love that you are also including pics of the menus...it's great to get a peak at them!
I need to start a cup collection! Glad the menus help, the ones online are always out of date
Ro you have me laughing my butt off! You are just a riot! Yes Todd is a master of getting what he wants, when it comes to food that is  Why he doesnt just order what he wants I have no idea..he is only like this at WDW though....weird huh? The Welsh Dragon is THE new drink of Epcot....thanks to Marsha for finding it for us!
Wow you guys... Guess ND is off of our list for Oct also.... BLECK!
Now, about that drink.... I need to make another list of drinks I wanna try in Oct... course, I'm a lightweight so Cait will have to hold me up ;) :rotfl:
(off to start the list!)
I hope you both feel better soon! (I wanted to see if you'd like TH breakfast also!)
Yes, ND should be off of everyone's list! We didnt make it to TH, we were so sick last night that we slept until almost 10 am!
Speaking of San Angel - wasn't that supposed to be having a refurb (and hopefully menu change) soon?
HI and welcome! So far the two bad meals were a chink in my armor but hopefully they will be the last. You will love Tony's, great food...SAI was supposed to have a refurb but they cancelled it...the good news is they are working on the Tequila Bar...FINALLY!
I am sorry Nine Dragons did not work out. It has always been a great meal for us. Maybe just a really bad night. So sorry:(
Could be an off night...but I dont think I want to chance it again!
Morning. Here's hoping that Todd wakes up feeling great and the weather is nice and sunny for you. Whats on the menu for today?

Hi all! So sorry for not checking in and making you worry all day but we are alive and well and we did eat again today :lmao:
Last night was a bad night...DH was really ill, I was not feeling 100% but he was bad...I did get him Sprite and saltines and Pepto and that helped but the best thing for us was sleep and lots of it...we woke up around 10 am (I had a feeling this was gonna happen so I cancelled TH, which we were both bummed about) and the first thing out of Todd's mouth is "I'm hungry". I needed real coffee..I had not had a decent cup in 4 days so I said lets get showered and try to get into Kona, get a late check out and go to the Swan.
We walked into Kona, no reservations either, around 10:45 and were seated immediately to a pretty full restaurant. I was hoping we would get in but if worse came to worse we could at least get coffee at the Kona bar and eat at Capt Cooks cuz one more day at POFQ would make me nuts! Ohana was packed to the gills too! We have been to Kona before but not since April 08 so I was thrilled to get in and chow down!
Here are some menu pics.

The thing with DH is he has a bottomless pit as a stomach and can bounce back from a tummy ache fast...he ordered grapefruit juice...I said are you insane? But he drank it all and was fine all day so I guess he knows his body better than me ha ha
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday006.jpg
We shared a pressed pot of coffee too, we got 3 cups out of it but for once I got more than DH did, I had 2 cups and he had just 1...about time! The coffee is strong and wonderful and I love it and wish I could get it at any restaurant in WDW!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday007.jpg
We shared a small fruit cup...where does WDW get their fruit cuz it rocks! Hmmm do they get it from the Land in Epcot??
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday009.jpg
DH had tonga toast and bacon....why I thought he would eat light is beyond me. He said the bacon was crispy and not greasy, the tonga toast was great but a bite or 2 is enough for me..too sweet.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday011.jpg
I wanted eggs benedict but that is no longer available so I had the Kahuna Platter but today was a "I am going to be difficult day" and I asked for sausage and ham, they gave me an extra link instead of bacon, and I asked for an extra pancake instead of french toast and in the manner of Sally from When Harry Met Sally, I asked for the butter and pineapple sauce on the side. FINALLY! I scored nice soft fluffy, buttery wet scrambled eggs, and DOUBLE SCORE I had nice potatoes that were not burnt and the pancakes were amazing and I DETEST PANCAKES...Kona is the only place I will eat them. DH had the huge piece of ham and he said it was great, not salty at all. The sausages were good but too huge, I like the thin little ones from the food courts better.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday012.jpg
We had a great breakfast, we were both feeling fine and we were going back to check out of POFQ...we loved our stay there and cannot wait to go back. Then we went to to a test run to the meeting place that Todd has to attend on Tues...and then to the Swan!

After we located DH's meeting place we went to check into the Swan...it was a busy check in are and the lobby STINKS of nasty heavy cologne or some sort but the front desk clerk said it is something the resort pumps in...WHY? It is pretty bad but the smell is only in the lobby, not the floor our room is on.
We had booked the $119 a night deal but the CM and I really hit it off so she upgraded up to room with a view...this room is incredible. I can see Everest from here and it is amazingly clean and the beds..OH THE BEDS! We have 2 queens and I can kick DH out of one anytime I want :rotfl:

Isnt it a wonderful place? They internet is free, there is Starbucks coffee too but I miss the room charge ability that we had at WDW resorts....I hate to carry cash with me, love just the room key for everything.
After we checked in, I had to unpack, I cannot just leave it for later, guess who said "So whats for lunch?"
And I looked at him like :scared1::eek::sick:
He said "What? I feel better. So where can we eat?"
For the love of Pete......

Oh Kona breakfast looks yummy. I have that one booked for dinner and breakfast in August. DS loves to share with me so we can try more things, so I will talk him into something sweet (Tonga Toast)and I will get something with eggs and then we will share.
Glad you guys feel better and Todd seems to have found his appetite!

I was not that hungry but I named off Beaches and Cream, he said VETO, I named off Big River Brewery, he said VETO, I said CS in HS and he said VETO...are you seeing a pattern?
Ok how about ESPN for wings? He said "DING DING DING, we have a winner"
When we went downstairs and walked over to the BWI we saw this
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday027.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday028.jpg
There was no one on the Boardwalk, and no one at ESPN. We sat at a booth and we watched the Red Sox game (did they win?) and each ordered ice tea. ESPN while it is empty is a nice place to eat, very quiet and relaxing.
Here is a few pics of the menu

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday024.jpg
I told him I wasnt that hungry so I would share whatever he wanted.....he ordered hot wings and a reuben. The wings were killer, they were huge and meaty and had tons of flavor and heat, the blue cheese dressing was the best I have ever had...I wish I was hungry for a salad I would get it with that dressing.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday025.jpg
The reuben was very good...awesome bread, the corn beef was not too salty and the fries, oh the fries..I ate almost all of them and if you dip it in the blue cheese dressing...I know, it aint healthy, put you into cardiac arrest blah blah blah but it was good and I am on vacation so I can eat stuff that is so bad for me and smile about it!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday026.jpg
After lunch (they take the TIW card here by the way) we were waiting for the boat to go to HS, I popped into BW Bakery and took menu pics...I would have taken food pics but the cases were all fogged up and you couldnt see in them.

You will probably think I am fibbing but it never rained at HS...not even with the dark clouds. It got very windy and the temp dropped alot but no rain...YAY!
Here is a pic of all the ice cream carts in all the parks...
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday010.jpg
HS wasnt that busy, it was nice just taking in the shows, we finally saw the Beauty and the Beast show and we watched Indiana Jones again...but someone we all know needed a snack.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday033.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday034.jpg
Now he knows Caramel Corn is my favorite so he ordered that, it was delish! Nice and sweet and wonderful and it is sold at carts all over HS...that is the only park we can find it in but they do sell it at the stand on the BWI that is open at night.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday035.jpg
And he had a frozen lemonade, ick...too tart for me but he enjoys it.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday038.jpg
Walking back from the B&B show to 50's PT we caught the little street show with the director and the vintage old movie actress...they are hysterical...she kept calling me Dah-ling and called Todd ...TOOTS! It was a trip!
This is the director, Mr. Von Bon Bon
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday036.jpg
And this is Dorma, she is always asking if her wig is on straight
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday037.jpg
The line for TSM was 90 minutes when we arrived and 60 minutes when we left at 8:30 so I think I will do that on Tues for my solo day...and the worst thing ever happened...the candy shop was sold out of gingerbread men, and I had brought my tupperware with me to pack them and take them home! Oh well, I will make it back there!

Dinner tonight was 50's PT..I cannot believe we got this ressie just yesterday...so things do open up all the time! Have not been here in 5 years, the last time our server wasnt into the schtick but this time ...oh boy! We arrived at 6:45 and went to the Tune In Lounge for a drink and to wait for our table. There I met David...the friend that Marsha is always talking about. He is a great guy and makes killer drinks.
DH had the Mowie Wowie and it was good but not as good as my Picnic Punch...holy booze Batman this drink is great! DH is green and I am sorta blue

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday042.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday039.jpg
While we were chatting with David I heard "NICKI LAST CALL FOR THE NICKI PARTY and I yell back, we are here dont give away my table! The hostess must be 90 years old and she said she was Nana and she gave me what for because we were late for dinner and the entire table was waiting and food was getting cold!
Our "Sister Sabrina" server was soo into character, she was awesome! We were introduced to our cousins from Missouri and Sweden and made fast friends with then both. When she saw us coming in with drinks she said we were the lushes of the family!

I have a weakness for onion rings and DH graciously agreed to share them with me. Huge serving, not greasy, tender thick onions, light batter, KILLER horseradish sauce that went great with the onion ring..we ate them all!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday047.jpg
DH had a vanilla coke, I got another Picnic Punch and Sabrina told the entire dining room that I had to get my car keys taken away cuz I was on my way to tee-totalling!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday050.jpg
I love the fried chicken here, I mean LOVE IT. I asked "SIS" if I could make a few changes, she rolled her eyes, let out a huge sigh and said "ok be a brat, waddaya want?" I asked for all white meat, green beans instead of greens and scalloped potatoes instead of mashed....I received 2 gynormous chicken breasts that had a nice light breading, super tender moist meat, tons of great beans and a so so scalloped potatoes.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday053.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday054.jpg
DH had the pot roast, OMG it was to die for...tons of meat, super tender and flavorful, the best mashed potatoes with lots of gravy and some juillianned veggies that were good too.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday051.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday052.jpg
There was alot of food but we shared and did a pretty good job of eating most of it....or so we thought. Sis kept the antics up and would not let me get away with leaving the green beans I had requested...she did the airplane with me and fed them to me in front of everyone...I thought I was gonna die...until I ratted out DH and told her that he didnt finish his carrots and she did the Choo Choo Train with him and fed him and had the entire room chanting "CHOO CHOO"! It was so much fun! She was just busting on us all night long, called me a tattle tale, kept bumping DH's elbows off the table, brought him out 3 vanilla cokes because he kept drinking them so fast! etc, we tipped her more than the TIW card because she was soooo good!
For dessert we shared the Smores..it was just eh ok...nothing like I remembered and I would have been happy with fruit instead.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday056.jpg
We left full, happy and DH said "Lets eat here in Oct, we know we like this joint!

I've been lurking on your dining reports for quite some time now, but felt the need to come out of hiding on this one! I'm so glad to hear that you're both feeling better - being sick in WDW is the worst thing I can think of. Lunch at ESPN and a Red Sox game, however, is probably one of the best! :)
Also, you have no idea how relieved I am to know that I am not the only one who brings tupperware with me to take home some gingerbread men!!!! My DH thinks that I am totally cracked, but nothing beats those cookies! Hope you find some before you head home.
Enjoy the rest of your trip and I can't wait for more of your awesome reviews.

Here are some menu pics.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday001.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday002.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday003.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanSunday004.jpg
I'm glad your hubby is feeling better! I really want to try Kona when I go this fall with my niece and am torn between trying the tonga toast and the macadamia nut pancakes! I was thinking of her ordering the tonga toast and I would get the breakfast platter and we could share! This looks sooo good! Thanks again for the great pics!:)

After your RR review I am trying to find a replacement for it so I had actually thought about ND - thanks for being the guinea pig for us all - we will definetly stay clear of there!!! Still trying to figure out a new ADR... :confused3

Here are a few weird things I have noticed...
The other night at MK, it was after 11pm and we were in a long line for a bus to POFQ...then one bus pulls up and a man with his wife (on a scooter) cut the three lines of people to get on the bus first...one guy started mouthing off and got alot of other people in line all riled up and it was a major crab fest for 15 minutes....OY!
The TIW we have is different than last year, it looks like a regular AP ticket but on the back it reads TABLES IN WONDERLAND and it is not in a TIW sleeve like last year that tells you where you can use it ... so everywhere we have used it the servers are totally confused because it looks like a park ticket!
While on the boat from BWI to HS we stopped at YC/BC. A family of 3 kids and 2 adults got on, they were soaked from the pool, had on bathing suits, and beach towels...they were telling someone on the boat that they pool hop all the time...they drive to a theme park, if they feel like swimming they go to the nearest resort and use the pool...they were telling these people "We can use the resort without paying the high room prices" I was in shock, DH says "Can you believe that people do that?" Uh yeah I can, happens all the time.
Bathrooms at the parks are not clean like they used to be...out of soap, TP, paper towels, floors are a mess etc....DH said the mens rooms are in the same condition.
Buses have been great! The boat service today was great too!
Tons of Star Wars stuff for sale at HS, Epcot and MK....
No sales in the stores like we saw in March...bummer.
Not too many Photopass people out either

I am still wired, probably from the Kona Coffee ha ha but I am getting ready to call it a day...
We have no clue what we are going to do tomorrow...breakfast at the Swan/Dolphin or BWI Bakery? I think we will do lunch at Epcot and dinner at BlueZoo...need to call it a night early tomorrow since DH has to work on Tuesday and I can do a solo day!
For my solo day I think I am going to get up early, to rope drop at HS and ride TSM and get my yummy gingerbread men, then head to Epcot and do all the movies/shows in the countries....where should I go for lunch? I think Tangerine Cafe or should I try and get in to Tutto for lunch??
Let me know what you guys would do if you had a solo day...but I want to stay at Epcot/HS area.
Night peeps!

Cannot wait to get it again!
hey nicki!!!! i've been following along but haven't had the time to actually post. so so glad you like the welsh dragon...can't wait to have one myself later this week!!! yeah, we always seem to *just* miss each other! one of these times... oh yeah, and they never gave me that cool cup! i'll have to demand it when i'm there on friday!

hey nicki!!!! i've been following along but haven't had the time to actually post. so so glad you like the welsh dragon...can't wait to have one myself later this week!!! yeah, we always seem to *just* miss each other! one of these times... oh yeah, and they never gave me that cool cup! i'll have to demand it when i'm there on friday!
OK, you've mentioned Marsha's alcohol thread a couple of times...anybody have a link to it? I'm not a "regular" but I looooove Nikki's reviews, I've actually read them all (I think). I really enjoy an adult beverage and since WDW has the bus system, DH can join me!!!:banana:He's usually the designated driver since I tend to claim dibs on being the drinker. That Welsh dragon looks awesome, and I've already planned on having a Margarita and a Grand Marnier slush....excited to get other suggestions!!
Thanks for the great reviews. Really glad ya'll are feeling better. Amazing how quickly the appetite returns when a guys sick. :rotfl2: After your Cali Grill review, I really regret not adding it to my ADR list. DH picked 'Ohana for our Anniversary dinner, but maybe I'll try to convince him to do Cali Grill instead, since we're already doing 'Ohanas once already. Hmmmm:rolleyes1

So I woke up at the ungodly hour of 3 am local time because of a very loud thunderstorm...once my head wasn't so fuzzy, I thought.."oooohhh I bet mickeynicki has a new post up!" LOL I have decided that I have issues! :happytv: The ESPN club looks good, we LOVE hotwings!! However if eating in a resteraunt I will get the boneless just because tehy are so messy! We frequently get them "to go" from one of our favorite local bars (who has the most amazing sauces) so I can eat them at home in all their messy goodness!
I really liked your review of 50's PTC we have an upcoming ressie there and I was kind of on the fence about it since we hadn't ate there before and it can get some mediocore reviews, I am glad you enjoyed it, I think I will quit stressing about it! :) :thumbsup2 Can't wait to hear more!!

I love pancakes, but not in large quantities, I tend to get sick if I eat too many! So the Kahuna platter seems perfect for me, a little bit of everything to sample!:)
It is the perfect breakfast, you get to eat everything ... but in moderation :goodvibes
I really want to try Kona breakfast and Prime Time Cafe. I have never been to either and have always wanted to go. Your reviews hae really made me realize that I should try to squeeze these in somewhere. I am so glad you both are feeling better.
You should try and get to both, they were great today and made me feel like our TS are taking a turn for the better!
How are you liking POFQ so far? That is where I am going to be staying in October...my niece's choice, I wanted the Contemporary! :)
We loved POFQ, it was great and I would stay there again in a heartbeat! In fact we are staying there again in Oct too!
Hey Nikki,
I just love reading your reviews!!! Makes me feel like I am right there. You have a lot of replys to your TR... just think how many are just casual readers like me that don't reply all of the time. You are a DIS superstar! Can't wait to hear more!
Thanks Laura, I am so happy that people enjoy reading them! I love to share our vacations with you guys, if I can post one thing that will help someone else out or give them an idea it is worth it!
One request... could we get a pic of you and your husband? It would be fun to put a face with your writings!!!
I totally agree! :goodvibes
I will try and post one but if you click on my other reviews I know I have one on there ;)
The Smore's either looks great or eh'. It seems sometimes it has a ton of chocolate under the marshmallows and sometimes it looks so dry! I have never had them before and plan on it next trip. I think I might ask to make sure we get the melted chocolate under them!
I think the marshmallows were too burnt for me but DH loved them that way..the chocolate and the graham were good but didnt blow my socks off!
If you click the links to her past reviews, there's a pic of them in the first post of one of them. They're a very cute couple.
I really want to try Kona for breakfast someday.
Thanks hon, you are so sweet to say! You should def make it to Kona....I could kick myself for cancelling the ressies I had there in January and March...it was a great breakfast

Hey there you are, we missed you! The souvenier cup is on the menu so you make sure they give you one, unless I buy them all before we leave :rotfl: I am sorry to miss you, we even extended our stay and moved to the Swan but we are still ships passing in the night! When you check in at the Swan chat up the CM and tell them you really want some sorta view, maybe they will upgrade you too!

He is a great guy...his face was so familiar and I knew it was the Dave from your posts..so I took a chance and asked him if he was Marsha's Dave and he laughed and said YES!! He asked how I knew him and I said he was all over the Disboard in her food and drink posts and he cracked up and said he didnt doubt it! I told him you were coming in this week and he was happy and said he needed to email you....I hope you have a wonderful trip Marsha and make sure you tell us all about it and hey, find me another new drink will ya?

Good morning, friend. Hope you guys had a restful night. I say you should do Tutto because I know it is a fav of yours and you know you like the food.
I really think the resorts need to start doing different colored key cards for resorts and then making you show them NO MATTER WHAT RESORT you are staying at for pool privileges. It is unbelievable what people will do. My oldest DS and his girlfriend are going next month and they are staying at the CBR (not happy with this...but they really didn't have a choice) and she asked if pool hopping was allowed. I told her no. She said she didn't think so but wanted to ask before she tried to go elsewhere (I guess the pirate theme just isn't doing it for a 21-year old :rotfl:).
Anxious for the next set of reviews. And still waiting for that cell number to put in my phone for the next time you scare the crap out of us.

PSA Be very careful getting on the boats in bad weather - the boats cannot be out in lightning - they are monitored, and are radioed to get out of the open waters... we waited 30 minutes under a bridge - no a/c - until the all clear was given.
I figure you ought to know, you must've paid your dues when you were 'sick' - glad that weather didnt affect your boat trip, nor your DHS day!!
Once again, I'm most appreciative of the pics of the drink menus :lmao:

My goodness, I sure missed a lot over the weekend! Thank goodness you are feeling better and hope today is a good one.
Loved the photos of 50's PT - haven't eaten there since Feb 2006 when we had terrible service and that delicious Fried Chicken was awful too - was soooo disappointed as it had been a fave. Excited to know it's great again!
I used to get Carmel Corn in the MK at the Candy Shoppe and that little walk up cookie place in Liberty Sq - of course, I cannot think of the name right now, but it's near the bridge & across from the Christmas Shoppe. Only got it there once b/c they keep it in the fridge! Yuck.
Hope y'all are enjoying the day! :goodvibes Swan view is fabulous!!

We love the Swalophin but haven't stayed there since 2006. I noticed they still use the same bath products.
I'm glad you liked ESPN. Have talked DH into staying at the Boardwalk for our 20th anniversary in 2011 and that restaurant was one of the selling points.

Really enjoying your dining report!
[SIZE="3"]While on the boat from BWI to HS we stopped at YC/BC.
I thought they checked resort ID's at YC/BC pool.

Hey babe thanks for making it to the party! With all the bad sky view weather the last few days we have not had any rain!

Good evening my fellow food enthusiasts! How are we? Are we ready to rock? The Swan is incredible, the beds are just wonderful and we slept so soundly that when I awoke at 9am I could not believe it! DH was still snoring, uh sorry snoozing so I went to the Java Lounge to get some grub.
I had a latte....oh sweet heavens a real latte! I got DH a cappucino. He said it was good. Forgot to take pics but it is just coffee.
For DH I picked a cinnamon bun..he said it was very sweet and very dense and he prefers the ones at POFQ instead. And an OJ which was good!

A plain bagel with cream cheese, it was ick...just a big thick roll.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday008.jpg
And a croissant for me, which was gross because the top was covered in a sweet sticky almost honey like glaze....BLECH!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday007.jpg
A huge serving of fruit...there was blueberries, cantalope, honeydew, watermelon, oranges, strawberries and pineapple and it was AWESOME! Lots of fruit to share and we still have some left over.

The Java Lounge also sells cereal, donuts and muffins.
After we had our showers and such we were out the door for Epcot!

Ah a day of snacking around the countries, what better way to spend a Monday? The park wasnt busy at all and we did a few rides and stuff before going back to the countries for lunch.
First stop, France for a Grand Marnier Slushie.

From there we went to Tangierine Cafe and I had a message to deliver. Skunk from the Disboards asked me to find a CM names Naima and let her know her adoptive parents miss her and will see her in November.
Well there she was, behind the pastry counter and I delivered the message, she was so happy she hugged us both and gave us a free strawberry tart! The tart was killer, the berries sweet, the tart was soaked in a nice rum flavor or something, we loved it!

If you guys are ever at the TC and see Naima tell her hello, she is a real cutie!
Now you guys know I love the falafel wrap from TC right? Well sadly, not anymore...it was a bit different in March and now it is totally different. They are not falafel patties but now they are falafel balls and they are so spicy my eyes were on fire. And they are served on a thin pita like bread instead of the thicker doughier bread. I had to let DH eat the rest of it....the lentil salad and couscous was delish! Next time I will get the chicken schwarma

On to Germany! Since DH is 100% German we always get food here, any food it doesnt matter what :lmao:
We shared a brat with kraut and it was great! DH eats the kraut and said it was great, the brat was nice and had a good spice to it and the soft steamed roll.....OY it was perfect!

And a few pics from the candy store in Germany! I found the gingerbread men and asked if they were fresh and soft, when I bought one in March it was dry and stale. The CM said they were so we bought one, inhaled it and then bought 8 to put in my tupperware and take home with us...the CM said he never saw anyone buy that many before but I told him he never met ME before ha ha!

It was hot, I mean a real scorcher and DH was getting cranky so we headed back to the Swan to relax. On the way out we had to stop at France to get DH something to eat in the morning, he has to be out the door at 6am to get to his meeting.
He got macaroons and a chocolate croissant, OJ and we have fruit left over from this morning and I will make coffee in the room for him...yes I will be up too! Cannot review them yet but I did take a ton of pics for you guys.

And tonights dinner was BlueZoo, have read wonderful reviews and seen fantastic pictures from Brenda and Rosie and the DisneyFamily...so excited to try it ourselves! Quick walk from the Swan so DH had to get to bed early, it was perfect!
We arrived at 6:30, the bar was empty, the restaurant was just about empty. We were seated in a cozy little round booth in the back of the restaurant. Our server was Jay, great guy, super attentive but not smothering at all. Great suggestions and very helpful! The restaurant is gorgeous, there are "dancing fish" rotating on a spit at the entrance past the bar, that is how they cook them so they look like they are dancing. The raw bar was impressive too....the atmosphere is very calming and relaxing.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday059.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday060.jpg
We both had ice tea and Fiji water.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday061.jpg
The bread was great, there was a parmesan cheese lavosh that to me tasted like burnt cheese but Todd liked it alot. A nice thing dense chewy ciabatta bread and the best, these little bread squares with carmelized onions on top...oh sweet carbohydrated god thank you! I scarfed these puppies down fast and Jay was quick to bring more.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday063.jpg
And the butter, oh my the butter. It is a fennel infused butter and I could have licked the little bowl. Fennel, or anise, is the licorice tasting celery looking thing that we always eat from Oct-Jan (that is the only time Publix carries it) and it is very crisp and clean tasting. This butter with the little bread squares and I was one Happy Italian Chick!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday062.jpg
DH was getting scared off by the menu, he said he didnt know what any of it was so he decided on the cheese flatbread for an appie because they did not have any salads. The flatbread was insane, nice crisp and super thin, the cheese was salty and chewy, the basil fresh and the sauce was not a tomato sauce but more like a cream tomato sauce that was thick and rich and wonderful.
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday064.jpg
I wasnt feeling any fish tonight, we are supposed to go to FF tomorrow so I thought hey, I will get the filet. BlueZoo is the winner of the best filet ever award, better than Jiko, kicks Cali Grills in the pants and beats Le Cellier by a mile. I had it cooked med rare, it was cooked med rare. It was nestled on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes, carmelized red onions, balsamic reduction and pureed carrots that DH and I fought over. I loved my meal, DH loved my meal and I will get my butt back to BlueZoo in Oct!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday065.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday071.jpg
Todd wanted the chicken, he loved it...especially the skin which I do not feed him at home, 2 days in a row he was allowed to eat chicken skin and he is so happy....I may sound like a strict wife but I need a healthy husband around for a long time ya know? But on vacation all that goes out the window and he is free to eat how he wants. The potato cake was good, the peas were terrific and the chicken was so moist and flavorful but the best part was the salted parmesan greens on the top...HOLY MOLY he loved it!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday067.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday068.jpg
As if we didnt have enough food we also ordered the garlic olive oil fries with fresh herbs like thyme and rosemary...wowza these were the best fries I have ever had...we left the mashed potatoes and the potato cake on our plates and ate all the fries!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday066.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday070.jpg
Jay asked if we wanted dessert, Todd said of course and I said just one cuz I am bursting at the seams!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q225/nicsgtp/SwanMonday072.jpg
Jay said the first dessert, the molten chocolate cake was super thick, dense and very very rich so DH opted for the banana tart. It was very sweet, tart, creamy and light...great end to a great meal. It comes out looking so cool with this white chocolate ball on the top and then Jay doused it with a warm rum sauce....I can actually feel the pounds adding on right now.

So glad that you enjoyed your dinner at Bluezoo! I wish you were going to be at WDW on the 16th of October because I think there's gonna be a group of DISers having dinner there, slapping fish around and sucking down drinks ... it would only be more fun if you and Todd were there. :goodvibes
And Jay just about died when I told him they were serving suckling pig ... he would order that in a porky heartbeat if it's still on the menu in October. :lmao:

God, you confuse me every time I read your results. We're going to have to go two weeks next year and get the deluxe dining plan just to get in all of these new places (and our old standbys) in. I am so glad that the last two days have improved over the disaster of the first two.
Have a great evening and we'll see you tomorrow.

Tomorrow is my solo day and I have changed my plans a scazillion times but I have finally decided what I am going to do. I will make it to Epcot at rope drop and I am going to see every single ride and show and Innoventions thing there is to see...by 3pm ha ha! I want to see the Norway, France, China and Canada shows...never did see them so this will be a treat. I will probably eat breakfast at the BW Bakery and then have lunch for one at Tutto Italia and of course drinks and drinks and maybe a snack or two...without DH to share it with I dont know how much I can handle.
Then I have a spa day set for the Mandara Spa, at BlueZoo tonight they gave me 20% off any services and items at the spa since I dined onsite for dinner. Then I get back to the room and there is a message saying the spa is giving $59 facials and massages but they are only tasters and for 25 minutes so DH said that he knew we were going to stay a few extra days he wants to treat me to a spa day! So I have an afternoon appt for a facial and 75 minute stone massage! I am so excited! Then we will have a late dinner at Flying Fish...he probably will not get back until after 7 so this will work out great!
If any of you guys see a wandering woman without a clue as to what to do next, with a huge grin on her face, camera in one hand and a boozy concoction in the other, well that will be me..come on over and say hi!

Hi! I'm a new poster, but couldn't help myself after this last post! My DH and I have been talking about trying Blue Zoo when we go down in August. However, since we are going with more family and they offered free dining, we shifted the dates around and will probably not get a chance to try it this time around. I was finally coming to terms with with not going there until I saw all of your pictures and read your reviews. Now I want to go so badly! I think my stomach is growling just thinking about it...:confused3 I can't wait to read about all of your other meals!

I wish I was going that week too but sadly DH has meetings that week and we had to push our time back a week, plus the big 40% off discount is the week later...more $$ to eat with babe! I hope you all have a great dinner at BlueZoo and make sure you tell me all about it...maybe in 2010 we can be there!
Tell Jay that I asked about menu changed and they said this menu will stay until Fall....they change it 4 times a year for the seasons...keeping my fingers crossed that the suckling pig is still there...sounds great doesnt it??
