Some are "work in progress" pics. I snuck in last Wednesday while my son kept watch. :)

It's looking really nice! Can't wait until August to try them out.

LOL..I was hoping no one would mention that. :)

We were actually walking around the outside of the resort and came up close to the entrance doors to just peer inside. They must have recently installed the automatic sensors because the doors just magically opened (quite noisily too, I might add - almost scared the pants off of us). We took it as a sign. :)

So we entered but didn't break. It was the most excitement I've had since I was a teenager. ;)

I snuck in last Wednesday

Do you mean the pictures of the hallways and drawing rooms were taken when you got in? My goodness, I think I would have been shaking too much to get the photos! But, I'm sure glad you had the camera with you. ;)

Really, really nice pictures. The resort looks like it will be just beautiful. Congrats to all the new owners.

OH MY GOODNESS!! You are brave :) My Husband would do something like this... I agree with Pam, I swear I'd have been so scared I wouldn't have been able to snap any pictures!!

As for breaking & entering, I wouldn't worry about it!! The worst that would have happened is you'd have been asked to leave, I'm sure they wouldn't have called the police ROFL!!

Now, I don't know about you guys, but I really like the looks of the hallways. I'm glad to see the hallway doors are an oak, keeps it light and airy... Call me crazy, but the one thing I don't like about WLV's, is that the doors are SO dark, I mean it's at least a shade or two TOO dark for my liking... I know, I know, I'm crazy, but it just doesn't do those villas the justice they deserve!

wdwsos- The breezeway pics are great. This is the area that will connect the BC to BCV right? I wasn't expecting sitting areas and nicknacks. Is the rotunda the area where the elevator banks are?
Oh BTW, If the doors automatically opened and there were not any NO Trespassing signs, I think you are fine from a legal standpoint. Thanks for pictures.

Outstanding, these pictures are greatly appreciated. Those doors are beautiful. Wonderful sitting area. I'm very impressed. We've got a 6 month wait until Christmas, so we are very grateful for the pictures. Pool area looks nice, doesn't look like a boring rectangular pool. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, that was the other thing, I really like that quiet pool, it's very nice, they did a good job with the design!

There was talk a little while ago about zero entry for the quiet pool- is it true?

KNWVIKING

From previous poster & pics I think its been determined this is not a zero entry pool.

CaptainMidnight
06-17-2002, 08:13 AM
Nope, if you'll look closely at your Vacation Magic pictures of the pool without water, you'll see steps at the end that had a possibility of being 0 entry. Oh well. Pool may be pretty small given the configuration. They must not have installed the giant water slide yet. ;-)

I wonder what is contained in the pool area buildings. There are probably locker rooms. Beyond that, I wonder. I'm sure there isn't a bar/snack area, that wouldn't be worth the expense. Sauna maybe? Towels probably. Any other guesses? Did out detectives get any indication?

These pictures would make great computer wallpaper. Thanks.

Thanks for the photos!! Cute little kitchen (no, I am not starting a size debate!!), and I love the old fashioned chairs!!! I hope to be able to try out a 1 bedroom in the not too distant future. I can see some real advantages to BCV location so close to Epcot. It also looks quieter than BWV, but I an not sure why it would be!:) :jester:

Notice on the map the first sidewalk you come to after you've left Epcot,it goes along the BC then into BCV. We've been on that sidewalk. If I was staying ground floor at BC I would be very unhappy with that sidewalk. You pass literally just a couple feet from their patios. Way too much pedestrian traffic for someone paying $$$$ to stay a BC.

Terry S

I agree about that side walk. When it was first built it was not intended to be used as a walkway for another resort, it was for just those few people staying at that side of the BC. Even then I was surprised at how close it was to the patios.

wdwsos... I would also like to know the location of the following: the breezeway, the rotunda and the drawing room?

CaptainMidnight
06-17-2002, 09:06 AM
... and elevators. How many banks of elevators did you see? 3 elevators? I presume they are off the rotunda in the middle of the resort?

What was the view like from the top floor towards epcot? Did you find an observations patio/deck on the top of the resort? {Now that would have been really brave. ;-)}

Actually, I took the pool photo from inside the Breezeway. I was afraid that if I opened the doors and went out, they'd lock behind me and I'd be in real trouble. ;)

As my son said this morning - we need to go back and take more pics....

Okay..keep in mind that I get lost in the OKW 2-bedroom....;)

Take a look at the map on Deb's site http://wdwig.com/bcvmap.jpg

Taking the first walkway, coming from Epcot (and yes, that is very close to the BC units - we practically tripped over a gentleman playing the banjo on his patio), follow the walkway around until you reach the entrance right below the letter "C." This is the Drawing Room and this is where we first entered.

On the map, between the C and the A, is the rotunda. Directly across from C (The Drawing Room) is A (The Breezeway), with the rotunda separating them. Walking from C, through the rotunda, and then all the way through A, will bring you to the door leading to the quiet pool.

Also, off the rotunda, are hallways leading to the guest rooms. I think that the short hallway leading to the elevator(s) is the area on the map to the right of C (where the telephone symbol is). The hallway to Room 110 (http://wdwig.com/bcv48.jpg) is directly to the left of the Breezeway. The long hallway photo, I believe, is the area going towards D on the map.

Too much information? :D

A big note of thanks, We can't wait to stay there on the 7th of July. The public areas look first class.

CaptainMidnight - I'm thinking the building behind the pool will be the community center, you know where you rent movies, floats, play games.

Does anyone know off hand how many rooms BWV and BCV have, the quiet pool seems kind of small. BC probably has another quiet pool though, right, so it should be ok.

45 loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggg, days to go:D

According to the new Vacation Magic, the movie rentals will be from Atlantic Wear and Wardrobe Emporium at the BC.

I'm not sure about the games - the Breezeway looked like a great place for that. The Drawing Room looked much more adult with the big comfy chairs for reading.

Funny that none of the literature being sent out mentions that building behind the pool. They probably haven't decided what it is yet. ;) In the original artist's renderings that were sent when we added on, the Breezeway was being called the Drawing Room.

I'll bet games are in the room next to beaches and cream. The building is marked restrooms, so I'll bet there's a restroom locker room set up. The small building only big enough for one person with the pointed room will be interesting. But I don't think it is big enough for a community center, but I could be wrong.

Vero moved their video's to the store too. It may jof theust be towels, etc. I don't see a lifegaurd chair.

Wonderful pictures. of the

Big thanks for the photos! I think it was a sign also when the doors just opened for you!!:D

One question for anyone out there: What is a zero entry pool?
That is a phrase I'm not familiar with.

What is a zero entry pool?

It's a new type of pool they've put into some of the resorts. It lets you literally walk right into the pool....making it very handicap accessible.

CaptainMidnight
06-17-2002, 08:03 PM
Another way to describe it is that it's like a long gradual ramp into the pool along one side instead of steps. Kids can play on the ramp at any depth they are comfortable with. It's a nice pool feature. Probably requires plenty of space. Gives kids more space to play in.

I guess the hot tub is square from the model. Hope it's a hot tub and not a kids pool.

Zero entry is just like walking into a lake or the ocean. It gets deeper gradually.

So do you think you can still walk into the building?

I will be passing through the Beach Club Thursday evening and I love taking pictures with my digital camera.;) If I can get in, I'll try and take a bunch of photos. Anything in particular that people want to see?

Of course, in 2 weeks, none of this will matter as the BCV will be OPEN! I'm so psyched!

Grotto,
I'll share some ideas, but they are just off the top of my head. Anything you see would be nice to share. I guess I'd be interested in the pool area, hot tub, knowing what is in the pool building, pool entry. The number of elevators would be interesting and thier location. Large Boardwalk only has 3. The front doors and main door to the pool would be nice. What do the entrances look like standing in the pool area. I'm kind of interested in what the rooms and balcony areas are like of those rooms directly over the canal. The exit from BC to BCV might be something else. Please don't think you have to bring us back all these shots, I was just picking out some possible ideas in case they might be helpful.
You've been a great source of pictures for us in the past, thank's for all your efforts.

Then there's the famous shot of Epcot from the roof / balcony / observation area on top of the building.... maybe.... it'd be something, wouldn't it? Probably just decoration.

I knew that the models looked fantastic, but then I was not thrilled with the exterior color of the building, and now I see these pictures. I think this place is prettiest of all the DVC so far. I am so glad that I bought an add-on--just sorry I had to sell the kids to do it--I will miss them................. :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

Seriously, I cannot wait until my first stay in September. Going from a 2-bedroom at OKW a couple of weeks ago back to a studio, but there will only be 2 of us. With having such a beautiful new resort, maybe it won't be such a shock.

Grotto.... any shots would be great especially the interior which no one has seen yet with the exception of these pics. As Capt said you have taken some wonderful shots for us in the past. Thanks. These little breadcrumbs are really helping satisfy me until my trip at the end of Sept.
