I love it, love it, love it!! AND I feel better seeing a little one enjoy WDW, since DS will be 14 months old when we go in October, and I still get looks and comments from people like, "You're taking him to WDW? He won't remember it, and he'll hate it". PBBBBLLFFFTTT!!!

tyler was there for his first birthday - he just started walking a few days before - he WALKED ALL OVER THE WORLD that week! he had a blast - he LOVED the characters - fell asleep in the stroller while big brother logan went on some of the big boy rides with dad. He Loved the parades, the fireworks - he even still remembers some of the rides. he is excited to go back for his 4th birthday in sept.
i have some wonderful pictures of his with the characters.
when people say to me that "he wont remember" I say "its not about them remembering - its about our family having a magical time - and i take enough pictures so they will have that to look back on"
plus - my father will join us again for part of the trip and this is so important - since HE LOVES DISNEY - and altzhimers runs rampid in our family - i want the kids (and me) to remember and experience Papa's favoirte place before he wont be able to go anymore. i guess i am selfish that way
ENJOY HIM!!!

When we first went as a family, we thought we were taking my stepson, who was 6.5 at the time, and we thought my son was just going along for the ride, he was 19 months. Boy were we wrong. My step son has "issues" and he really didn't like it, he was scared of everything but my son LOVED it! He felt the magic, like only little ones can feel it and he is the reason we started going so much since 2004, it's just pure magic for us to watch him! He's just finishing Kindergarten now, last fall we were seriously considering an adults only trip, my MIL would happily watch him a couple days. DH and I talked about it over and over and we decided that we needed to take my son, even if we took him out of school... seeing his face and enjoyment is the highlight of our trip, how could we leave him home???!

Adorable LO, I have pics of mine at that age doing similar things in hotels... there isn't much else to do! LOL

Very cute LO. :goodvibes

We took DD to WDW at 13 m.o. (which, for us included a 9 hour flight to get there) and she still remembers some of the things we did, too. :cutie:

I think that those folks that say "they won't remember it" are just jealous that they aren't going to WDW with you! :upsidedow :rotfl2:

PBBBBLLFFFTTT!!! is right! On all of our trips at least one of our kids was 15 months or younger and they all had a blast. It is definately about a fun family trip and even if they don't remember it YOU have those precious memories and they can always look back at the pictures of their first trip to WDW! Go have a blast with your little guy and see the magic through his eyes!

Here's our youngest on our trip this past October. He was just 15 months old.

Love the page and the pics! I agree with all those who take itty bitty ones. We took ds when he was 15 months old. One of my favorite moments of the trip was the look on his face when the parade started. I had to take a picture of him at that moment! We've been to Disneyland once more since then, and now at 3 1/2 he thinks he is a disney veteran!
