Okay, I've heard about this, but never done it. If we are there November 16 to 20, what will that mean for us? What are the guidelines? What do we need to know and how do you do it?

Thanks so much for sharing this! I'll be there in two weeks, and the dates I was hoping for a bounceback offer for are included in your offer. I'll keep my fingers crossed I get the same.

Thanks for sharing. We've never been able to take advantage of the bounceback offers because we can't travel during the dates. But, if the May 31st through June 6th is still offered in August, we can!

I have always heard people talk about bounce back offers, but I have never received any.
We go to Disney for 11 or 12 nights every June.
Are bounce back offers handed out randomly; could that be why we've never been offered one?
Thanks!

Oh, I soooo hope that offer is in my room when we're down there in a couple weeks. I'm crossing every finger and toe. :rotfl: If it's not in my room, is there a number I can call to try to get it??

I had the same offer in our room this May at AKL. The dates were for 2009 with a few blackout weeks. I wish I would've done it when I was there, but I didn't know until after we got home that we would be going again!!

Yes, you have to book with your deposit before you leave. They figure that you had such an amazing time, you will be ready to reserve for your next trip before you finish this one! We've had bb offers the past 2 years, but didn't take advantage. We plan to take them up on the offer this year if the dates fit!

So where is the offer, is it on the table or do you have to ask for it? Do they mention it when you check in?

Ours was a flyer left in the room. I think in 2007 it showed up about 1/2 way through the trip. If I remember correctly, last year it was in the room from day 1.

There's always been one just sitting in the room when I arrive. It's usually been a piece of paper that looks like a big pocket watch.
Several years ago, I also noticed it on the in-room TV channel that scrolls various information. I can't recall noticing that any other time though.

We'll be using it for this trip in Sept.. I found the bounce back paper on the table when we came back one night and after discussing it for about 1 nanosecond I called and set it up with Free Dining. I'm hoping we'll see another one during our trip this year because Sept, is the time frame that we can get vacation time together so we can go back down!:surfweb:
Last year we were at ASMu for the free dining in September. I read here on the Boards that there were BB offers available, so I looked for the paper in our room.
Sure enough, it was there. Usually my DH needs time to make a decision, however, he agreed that it might be fun to go again during Sept. I had a 2009 calendar with me (anticipating the BB offer) so was able to pick some dates. I phoned the # from the room, booked, and paid my deposit.
I think my DH agreed only because we could always cancel if issues arose where we couldn't go.
We'll be at POP for free dining (booked as a BB) in Sept of this year.

Often the Bounceback offer is on a flyer or post card in the room. I've also noticed it as an AD on the WDWToday TV channel. They tell you an extension to dial from your room. You must book AND pay a deposit before you leave WDW.

Sorry I haven't replied to some of the questions. Yes all of the dates on the bounceback were for 2009, no 2010 dates yet unfortunately. The bounceback flyer was the pocket watch like some others have posted about. It was on the table in our room when we checked in.

Last years trip it wasn't in my room but I just logged on here..read what the offer was and went down to the pool and called sitting in the sun..they booked me no problem..they just had to verify I was actually there (by my current reservation).
This last trip from Day 1 we had the offer in our room---didn't take advantage of it though...

I did not have the flyer in our room at POP last Aug. But I knew about it from the DIS. I went down to the check in and told them that the DD's had tidied up the room for me and had disposed of it before I was able to call and take advantage of the offer. The CM went to the back room and handed me a "replacement". I then went back to the room and dialed the extension and booked this years stay!!!

We just booked this offer for our October stay. We got the 40% off at Bay Lake Tower. We would like to use it again when we return for a December stay. I do remember that is had a code on it as well. Does anyone remember the code?

I was at BCV for 2 weeks - got back last week - and nothing!! Last year we got the flyer but couldnt take advantage of it.
I have always had a bounceback offer in the room and never took advantage of it. We were there 2 weeks ago and had decided we were going to use it this trip, so of course there wasn't one in the room. I went on a search for it. I went to the front desk to ask for a card because we did not have one in the room and the CM I spoke to looked and couldn't find a flyer. That CM told me to dial 0 which is reservations and they should be able to take care of me. I did that and reservations told me that the front desk should not have told me to call them and that they couldn't do anything without me having the flyer and the code. They told me that housekeeping was good about putting the flyers in the rooms, and if there was no flyer, there must not be a bounceback right now. I told them I knew that was wrong because thanks to the good old DIS boards, I knew that there was one available that people had been booking the day before our trip started. The reservations CM told me there was nothing they could do and I was out of luck. I was disappointed. My DH went to the front desk the next morning, got a different CM, simply told the CM we didn't get a bounceback card in the room and we were hoping to use it, and it took that CM about 2 seconds to find and hand him a bounceback card. (It was the clock card mentioned here) So.. we got our bounceback booked:yay: The moral of the story is if you want a bouncback and don't get a card in your room don't give up. Keep asking different CMs at the front desk. Also, the extension to book bounceback was 8844 as someone said here, and I'm not sure I would have even needed the code. Just calling that extension even if you didn't have a code would be worth a try. Also, the CM I booked with told me if it ever happens again and I can't get a card from the front desk, to try one of the housekeepers in the halls as they usually have some on their cart, or to call housekeeping directly as they usually have stacks of the cards.

We are going the middle of August this year and planning to go back in February 2010. Should they have the 2010 bounce back offers available when we are there in August? I would love to go ahead and book it then. Also, my parents are going with us in February. Could we book their room as well (we always request adjoining rooms)?

Of course it's hard to predict what/if will be there in August, but jmo (based on the last few years) the Bouncebacks for the next years dates don't show up until around November, so you probably won't be able to book a 2010 date during your stay in August. ;)
If it's like last year, the current BB offer (with dates through December) will probably end around the Free Dining arrivals, then switch to a different BB, a Free Dining BB, where you are able to book Free Dining a year ahead for FD dates next year.
Then after that FD BB ends in October or so, the BB that comes out next will probably be the one that includes dates for next year. So to be able to book a February 2010 BB you might have to book another trip later (November?) to get a BB that includes February dates. :cutie:
Like last year, the BB that came out 11/7/08 included dates for 12/14-12/20/08, 1/4-1/8/09, 1/11-1/15/09, 1/25-2/12/09, 3/1-3/14/09, 5/31-6/6/09, 8/23-10/2/09.
Also re booking your parents - you have to be staying at a resort to book a BB, so you couldn't book a room for them but you could book one room and your DH/DW (whoever is with you) could book another.

You only get a bounce back offer for the same type/category of resort you stayed in. In other words, if you book a stay at a moderate resort, you'll have a bounce back offer for moderate resorts.

I do not think PP is correct. Last year BB for FD I was able to price mod & deluxe even though I was staying in value. Sometimes the BB only includes % off deluxe & villas rack rates. Maybe a DIS vet could clarify this.

My DW and I did a long weekend trip last year(in mid octobor) because i read on here that they were still offering the FD bounce back for 2009. SO it was a good reason to go(like we ever need one)
When we arrived there was nothing in the room,so i called and was told ther ewas a FD bounceback and we colud book one room for every adult registered in our room. So we booked 2 rooms for 8 of us this year. We did FD in sep of 07 and loved it. So now we are taking Me DW DD11 DD 7 along with MIL FIL Niece and Nephew. Can't wait now.
But my point is if you dont see something in room, just call and im sure they will be happy to take your money, i mean help you out on your next trip.
We were staying at POP but could book any room catagory we wanted.

We got back last night from a stay at ASMu. There was a bounceback for 20% at values, 30% at moderates and 30% (I think) at the Fort Wilderness cabins. I believe the dates were the same as in the OP listed.

Hi question for you. The bounce back in November into Dec. Is that this year? Is that a free dining offer for that time frame? I have heard you can get free dining at this time of year however I have only been for the FD in Sept.
We are hoping to take the entire family in Nov-Dec 2010. We were hoping to get a free dining offer is possible as we wanted to stay at GF so saving a little money would be good.
I keep figuring I need to do my homework this year to be good for next year.
Any ideas? :)

When I called to book my BB offer yesterday (from my resort room phone), I was told you can book any category you desire (value, moderate, deluxe, villa). The CM on the phone did ask for the code on the flyer, and it is code DYU. I was also told you can make changes or cancel the reservation up until about 6 days prior to arrival. Hope this helps.

Did anyone notice if there was an expiration date on the bounce back offer? Or since its just for your length of stay do they not put one on there?
Thanks, going in July and need offer for October.

At ASMu right now, too, and have the offer in my room. Unfortunately, the ressie I need (BC or YC standard in October has no availability). The card just says 30% off at "select" resorts. Last week of August, all of September/October, November up to Thanksgiving week, first week of December and then the 13th thru Christmas Eve.

I just got back from BC Saturday. No flyer in the room; front desk played dumb and didn't give me any info when I asked. So, I just called the bounceback number and booked it with no trouble. Never was asked for a code or anything (The number is 407-541-5512 and the code for 2009 is DYU, in case anyone needs it.)

Another question :)
We're going in July, but I don't think that they'll have 2010 dates out at that point so I'll be looking to our Nov. trip for a bounceback. We'll be staying on points at AKV in a value room. Any chance of getting a bounceback when you're staying in a DVC? We're not DVC owners, just renting points. I'm planning on running the half marathon in March, so would love to book the bounceback offer. I have a feeling that once I stay in a deluxe I'll never want to go back to a value or mod again, lol.
There probably wouldn't be an offer in a DVC room, but do you think if I called 8844 they would give it to me? I know my reservation is in the general Disney system (not just DVC). When I called to book our July stay the CM noted that we were also coming in Nov.
Thanks! :goodvibes

Just FYI. . . a Dis'er helped me out last year when she posted that her card said to call extension #8844 (I could remember it b/c it's my grandma's phone#) I didn't find a BB offer in our room, but called 8844 and told them I wanted to book a bounceback. Voila, we're going again!
For those of you going, if you can post the extension #, it could very well help people out!
