Dumbo

We are taking our first trip to WDW with my dad who is a paraplegic. He can't transfer from his chair, and I have done quite a few searches regarding this and can't find an answer.
I was looking on the WDW website and the information on Dumbo says that you can ride the ride in your wheelchair, is this correct? Every other website says you can't, but I wondered if maybe the refurbished Dumbo and made a new one accessible.

I assume it's wrong, but if some one could clear it up for me, that would be great. My dad was so excited when he saw that. Thank you!!!

That is their site info also. I am sure I would have heard otherwise. You will have to wait until someone verifies this but I do not think Dumbo could list an ECV. The magic carpet ride is wheelchair only and is similar mechanism.

I will research more but as of now I would say that it is a transfer only ride.

Sorry, I'm afraid the elephants are not yet wheelchair accessible :sad2:. However, Aladdin's Flying Carpets in Adventureland, and Triceratops' Spin in AK can both be ridden in a wheelchair, so you can do those all together (I know it's not quite the same as Dumbo, and we're still hoping they'll make an accessible elephant one of these days).
