I like everything on hangers but it does not seem that that is an efficient way to pack. I have two large suitcases filled to the brim and still more to put in! At this rate, I will have no room for my treasures that I will find in GC and Cozzie...
When traveling on business this issue never came up because it is usually only me, but to have my dh's suits, tux, shirts, shorts, mine and some of my son's clothes on hangers it seems too much bulk.
The hotels and cruise ship never give you enough, so how does everyone else do it?
Thanks in advance. L

Laura - I just pack a few in each suitcase. Lay themdown before you pack the clothes and put some in the outside zipper compartments. I am packing 20 of them for the 4 of us. Happy Packing and see you in less than a week.

Two things that we have done that might help you.
First for the hangers we bought a set from Home Shopping called huggable hangers. They are really thin, but covered so things don't slip off. We used those to pack our garment bag and we fit a lot in. Once on board we just had to hang everthing up. I love them.
Second is a packing tip I learned on this board a long time ago. We back a medium size duffle back in our luggage going down. It doesn't take up too much room. One we are unpacked we open it up and use it as a laundry bag putting the dirty clothes in it at the end of the day. For going home we have one more piece of luggage - the packed duffle. The room left by the duffle and dirty clothes is what we use to pack souvineers etc.
Hope these tips help!

I pack my blouses right on the hangers in the suitcases. I just take them out and hang em up!!! I use the thin metal ones from the drycleaner. I alternate the "hook" side from the top of the suitcase to the bottom. Works great. I pack my slacks first, then the blouses.

Just ask your room host for hangers, they gave us plenty.

in the past when i have asked for extra hangers, once i didn't get any, and the other time I only got three extra. I always take a few extra. They are light and easy to pack.

Thanks guys! All your info is a great help.
I re-aligned some things and then I cheated! I packed a back into another bag (for all my new treasures). I figured that I can pack some clothes w/o the hangers upon my return and iron at my convenience.
Thank you :D
