Thanks to everyone on the board for putting up with repetitive questions. I just got my packet with all the membership stuff, and I'm psyched to take my first DVC trip! Two questions:

1. I received a matted drawing of the BCV, and would like to frame it. It measures 11x13. Anyone found any frames that easily accomodate this? Where?

2. Banking question--If I bank points, can I change my mind later and still use them this year?

Thanks again for all your help,

Boris

Congratulations and welcome home, neighbor!

Haven't any input on the frame, except to take the drawing to a custome shop. That can be expensive, though.

Once you bank points, they stay banked. Cannot return them to their original use year. However, even though you have banked current use year points, you can still borrow points from the current use year plus one. So if you "change your mind", you can always borrow next year's points. But once borrowed, the points must be used before the start of your next use year or you lose them So you can only "change your mind" once. :D

Thanks Carol! Speaking with you was certainly helpful. By the way, are you ever NOT on one of these boards?!?:)

BorisMD,

On your frame question, we have had 2 of ours (OKW-VB) framed at "Michaels". They usually have 50% off coupons in the paper. For the custom frame, matting and non-glare glass, it came to around $40-$45 with the coupons. They do look very nice on the wall:D . It also reminds us to look forward to our next trip down;)

P.S. Welcome Home!!!!!!!!!

BorisMD:

In our first year, we did exactly what CAROLMN suggests for you to do. We banked our points to play it safe. Then realized we wanted to go later. Borrowed the next year's points and all was well. It really worked great for us.

Oh yes, WELCOME HOME NEIGHBOR!!!!

LOL, Boris. I do check in frequently (can't help myself. I probably need a 12 step program). Maybe you will be saying the same about yourself sometime soon. DVC and the DIS are addicting! Enjoy your first trip home!

They do sell 11 x 14 frames in any store that carries frames so it may be ok due to the matting even though it's off an inch -- I actually bought a really cute one at Disney's Home store at the Marketplace that was 11 x 14.
