I was able to book two days on July 1 and 2, a bit of a getaway for my wife and me. Give me some tips. We will likely do a lot of relaxing, but are there things that are worth exploring. I noticed some Indian River cruises. I know this is a wide open question. I'm 53, she's 49. We're pretty laid back, and I don't think either of us would mind simply hanging out and using what's available. Thoughts? How are the restaurants? What can we expect?

Frankly, for two days... I would just lay back and enjoy. It's going to go by soo fast. Really, taking excursions out of the resort takes away some real quality time. I would suggest you just lay back and enjoy the resort. JMHO. :)

Make sure you wear long pants early and late. The no see ums (bugs) Are active then. Vero is wonderful very relaxing. Long naps walks on the beach tennis or putt putt. Shell hunting. Dinner on the deck of the bar overlooks the ocean. Its just great.
