they were going to build in spain where universal built, but the French government gave then so much money to them they couldn't refuse

I would be happy for a nice resort mid way so I can use my DVC points to stop along the way to our place in Spain. The deal with the DVC points for Disneyland Paris is ridiculous as you have to purchase length of stay pases in dollars for the whole time you are stopping over. Paid it last year but with the current exchange rate it is really prohibitive.
