Don't get me wrong . . . I am so glad we are getting rain because we desperately needed it. But you know that saying, "Be careful what you wish for" Since Sunday, we have gotten almost 2 feet of rain!!! The City of Daytona Beach itself is pretty much under water along with some cities directly north, like Holly Hill and Ormond Beach. I live south of Daytona in Port Orange. We have flooding in our neighborhood as you will see in the pics below, but those in Daytona have it much worse. We luckily don't have water in the house, yet!! (We're expecting more rain this afternoon and tomorrow). Here are some pics:

This is my dad, who is about 5'9", standing in the middle of our street up to his knees in water.

Here's a view from the side of our house down the street

Here's the same view, just opposite direction

Some more views down the street

As you can see, it's been a real picnic!! Hopefully it will be back to normal soon!!

Wow. I hope that water recedes soon! Is there no happy medium for you guys? Early May HOT and dry as a bone, now torrential/flooding rain??? :sad2:
Hopefully it'll dry out soon! pixiedust:

You live in port orange? We are right up the road in Daytona just off Williamson. And yes quite a bit of the roads are under water. You should have seen the intersection of nova and international speedway this morning.

I am sorry to hear about the flooding in your area. We have gotten lots of rain but nothing like those along the coast.

We live in south Orlando just off of 417 and we have had about 6-7 inches of rain. No flooding like our neighbors to our north.

Anything interesting in the water? Like fishes? Alligators? Floating treasure?
