Voice of Mickey Dies

Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse for 32 years died Monday. Wayne was the third person behind Walt and Jimmy McDonald to voice Mickey. Russi Taylor, his wife and voice of Minnie Mouse, was by his side when he passed. Here is a link to the story:

I heard that on our radio this morning too. He was only 62. Only 3 people have done Mickey's voice, and the first one was Walt!

What a shock! I had the pleasure of hearing him talk at numerous Disneyana conventions. He and his wife Russi were always so pleasant and fascinating to listen too. He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with his family.

He and Russi Taylor are wonderful people, and were fully aware of the impact their voices had on the characters and the legacy that they needed to maintain.
