again I tried a search before asking......
Just curious if we have trashcans at the sites or have to trek somewhere to throw away trash aka should bring our own trash container for during our stay?
Thanks in advance to whomever answers this pressing question. LOL

They don't have trash cans on each site but they do have them by the road. They are spaced out (I'm guessing) about every 3rd site. They are brown and have have recycle "bins" by them as well. Newspapers, bottles (yes beer and water bottles would go here):thumbsup2
Hope this helps!:goodvibes

Bibbidy- we bring a small trashcan with a lid to keep at the site and when that fills up, i have one of the boys trek it over to the main trash cans. I would definitly keep something- wether its just a bag or an actual trash can is up to you- but I would definitly keep something for trash at the site with you :thumbsup2

darnit- another thing to pack. LOL We've never stayed at ANY campground that didn't give each site it's own trashcan! I thought it was a silly question but apparently not. LOL Unfortunately I have 2 sizes trash cans- tiny like for bathrooms..... and ginormous. LOL

I've been using those pop up hampers for a trashcan. I take two, one for inside and one for outside (but don't leave it outside overnight). I put tall kitchen bags in them and hold them on with clothespins. When we're traveling, they fold down flat and don't take up hardly any room.

Another option we use so we don't have to pack a trash can specifically is using one of the rubbermaid bins we bring other supplies in. We empty the supplies out, put in a trash bag and that way it also has lid to keep the critters out. The bin we use is about 10" deep and 24" wide.

Just throw all of your trash on your neighbors site....they wont mind!
(the pop-up clothes hamper is an excellent idea!!)

Thanks for all the ideas!
I think I'll just bring one of our trash cans. With our family of 5 and eating most meals at the site- we're gonna need it. LOL plus I can just pack it full of our small appliances/pots and pans and other stuff I don't want clanging around anywhere in the camper- then when I unload it and put all that stuff up when we're there- voila... have a trash can. LOL
Whatcha think? A plan that will work? :)
OMG we're leaving in about 15hrs! :scared1:

Have a GREAT trip!!!! It looks like your timing with the weather is going to be pretty good. Showers probably in the afternoon and the rest of the time should be fine.
Be safe and remember the Trip Report.

Thanks! I've never wrote a trip report before- but maybe I will this time! :) But you did remind me to bring my journal. :)

dusney in their wisdom put the trash cans on the other side of the road from the entrances to the sites, thereby making it difficult to back your rig in.

Where in the heck have you been staying that has trash cans at each site? I can't recall ever staying anywhere that had a trashcan at each site. :confused3
