I posted this in a different thread:

I know I can get a free ticket on my birthday, and I had a credit with Jet Blue that was going to expire that I only had to add $20 to. I'm in the process of renting DVC points for my room.

My plan is to get there on the 6th, chill by the pool and/or go to DD (haven't been there in years). On the 7th, my birthday, I plan to ride Expedition Everest as many times as humanly possible. I got the idea when I was at WDW with my family in January. They don't do coasters, so I went to AK on my own and, with the help of the singles line, rode about 8 times in a row with almost no wait. (I know it'll be a little more crowded in October than January, but I'm hoping that a combination of fastpasses and the singles line will get me on as many times as my stomach wants to churn.) I LOVE that ride and think it would be fun riding the same ride all day long. (If I get bored, there are a few other attraction at AK I like.)

But now I'm thinking MK might be better; I like more of the rides there and the overall feel of the park--but I also love the idea of picking 1 ride (EE) and riding it all day. Also, does anyone know what the crowds at AK would be like first week in October, on a Wednesday? I know Epcot F&W is going on then but not sure how that affects other parks. I also think free dining is still going on then? Do you think I'd face a long line even in the singles line, making it not possible to hit the ride many, many times in 1 day?

Ideas?

I don't think you'll have a problem with crowds at AK on a Wednesday. You'll need to check with park hours though just to make sure AK doesn't have EMH that morning. If it does, then lines might pick up later in the day.

As far as which park to choose, only you can decide. Everyone has their own opinions. If you really really want to ride EE then go for it. If I had to choose, I would go with MK. I feel like there is more to do, the rides are my favorite in all of WDW, and nothing like walking down Main St.

Obviously more to do at MK, but if you're only planning on doing one ride, then it becomes a moot point. However, you could also do one ride at MK...maybe Splash Mountain and get soaked thru and thru or Pirates or Haunted Mansion. Lots of options there.

Enjoy your birthday!!!

I would pick MK, hands down. The idea of riding EE all day sounds neat but trust me after like 2 hours of the ride you'd get tired of it. If you have 1 day and 1 park, Magic Kingdom is the best bang for the buck
