Well, i have subscribed to another thread, but now i have decided to write a journal.
I have epilepsy, and was put on meds that made me gain a ton of weight. I am 5'6", and Before this medication i weighed 135.(this has only been 3 years ago) My highest weight was 238::headache:
The doctors have put me on a new medicine, but it does not help you loose weight, nor does it make you gain weight....So loosing it will be up to me.
I had to find something that worked for ME....That was the hardest part. Now i think i found it, and for the past 3 weeks, i have lost 15 pounds (223). I am so excited.
I walk about 3 miles a day. Do situps to help the tummy/abs and tonight i might add jogging for about 10 minutes on the treadmill.
My goal is to get to 140. Still 83 pounds to go.

Good luck to you! I just started a journal too. I have around the same amount of weight to lose as you do. It's going to be a long journey, but I know we both can do it! If you need support, I am there for ya!:flower3::cheer2:

Sorry to just get back with you...I have been out of town. Just want to wish you well, also. I will subscribe to your thread. We can do this. I am in this for the long haul, and it will be lonnnngggg!!! I have now lost 20 pounds. It seems it is getting easier as the time goes by, and it really doesnt seem like it has been 4 weeks. I hope the next 4 weeks go just as well.

I didnt do so well this week:sad2: I did really good when going out to eat this weekend. By monday i had lost 2 pounds....But at my weigh in this am, I had lost only a total of 3 pounds. I seem to be "stuck" at this weight. It is so fustrating.
Starting weight: 238
Total weight loss this week: 3 pounds
Todays weight: 215
I am going to put a goal of 212 by next Thursday. I have got to get off of the 215 - 216 numbers. I am so down...I didnt cheat. I have been working my tail off, and only lost a total of 3 pounds this week.

Last week i was so frustrated. It seemed as though i couldnt get off of 215. I cant wait until i am under 200. :yay: I cant believe how much better i feel. I have so much more energy....

well, its another day, and i am upset....Thursday will be my weigh in date. I peaked this am, and i have only lost about 1.5 lbs since last thursday. The high temps here have been about 95-97 degrees :scared:, and after i walk i have to drink about a gallon of water; i believe the shortage of weight loss is water weight. It is so frustrating...
But on a happy note, i am going to make myself a short term weightloss goal. I would like to weigh 200 (or less;) )by July 1st.

Considering that a few days into the week i had only lost 1.5 pounds, this week ended pretty good. I lost a total this week of 3 more pounds.
I am still going to try to be 200 by July 1St.
I am getting excited. Two coworkers came to me yesterday, and said they could tell that i lost weight. It made my day! :goodvibes

I think i will be happy with whatever weight i loose this week. I have been sick with my epilepsy. The seizures started early Sunday morning, and i have had size effects since, (muscle cramps, very slow moving and thinking) I am ready to get back to being myself. It is my first day back at work and i am very blah:scared:
I did peak at the scale, and i have lost 2.5 pounds this week, and that is with no exercising.

Its Thursday:sad1: and my weekly weigh in. I weighed 206 this am. I knew it was not going to be good. I got NO exercise in Sun, Monday, and very little on tuesday, since i was sick. Add to that again, drinking tons of water, in this heat and humidity, i guess 2 pounds seems like a lot to loose. I dont think i am going to reach my goal of 200 by July 1St, but its ok.
I want this weight to continue falling off, but I dont need to eat less calories. I have limited myself to 1000 calories a day, (and alot of days i stay below that) This week was just hard. It is taking time for my body to get back to normal, and for me to get my physical and mental strengh back.
I hope to have better news next week.
We are going to the beach next weekend, I cant wait.

I am feeling so much better this week:thumbsup2 getting back into the swing of things. I have only lost 2 more pounds (I am down to 204), but now that i am feeling well again, i can work on the weight again.
We are leaving to go to the beach for the day, so hopefully being out there i can shed a few pounds....
I didnt reach one of my goals--to be 200 by july 1st, but i am close, so its ok... I really hope to loose at least 3 pounds by next week...

Tues at 2am, dh woke up with a pain in his stommach...After many tests, he has kidney stones. They are treating it with meds, and hoping he will pass them. If he does not pass them by monday, they will do the laser.
Tues night dd complained that her ear was hurting.... I went at midnight to buy swimmers ear, b/c we have been swimming alot. Well, this am she woke up with fever. :guilty: so i have a call into the doctor this am. Hoping and praying that he will just call in a script for her, since i have been to his office everyday this week. It is my first day at work this week.

It started out great!! I got under 200, but i have been extremely busy at work....I had to put in 15 hour days this week, so yesterday, i only walked about 2.5 miles, instead of the usual 3.5miles. I also ran out of my slim fast shakes. So when i ate my biscuit for breakfast, i did not eat lunch, so by the time supper came, I was starving!!!!:rolleyes1 Guess what i did?;)I went and bought me and dh a bucket of chicken, and ate! It was the first time that i truly "cheated". This morning i feel like a stuffed potato.:rotfl:
I was angry with myself after doing it...but now i see how blah i feel this am, so i am just going to do it again....BTW i will go pick up my shakes this afternoon!!!
I am still determined to get to 140, and i will.
Ok, here are my numbers:
Starting weight 238
Weight loss this week 3 pounds
Current weight 197
My goal for next week is 193. I really want to make this goal. Alot of times, looking at previous posts, i dont hit my goals. I make a goal that is too high. But after last night, I want this one. BAD!!!

More seizures....I am going to have to call my doctor, and get off of generic, and increase my dosage. I havent had this many seizures this often, since i was a teen. Again, I will just be happy with whatever weight i loose. Im just trying to get to feeling better.....

This week was a pretty good week for my weight.... I lost 3 pounds!!!:thumbsup2
I am going to ask everyone for their prayers though--I am still not feeling well. I am still having migraines, and seeing an ora. (they had put me on generic meds last month), which i just started taking name brand again, and my dosage has been increased from 250 mg per day - 1000 mg's.
Hopefully i will be back to normal again soon.....
Ok--here are my numbers...

current weight: 192

I am feeling really well this week...
But i have only lost 2 pounds this week....:guilty:
It seems like the further along i get, the slower it takes to get the weight off:confused: and i am not doing anything different
But if i have to take off this weight 2 by 2, i will. DH is even getting on the weight loss train...He has lost 25 pounds.

I was extremely sick this weekend. DD found me unconscious friday at home. Monday, i got to the doctor....Enough is enough.....
The Dr. thinks the reason i have been so sick, is b/c my metabolism has changed, therefore the meds are no longer working. He says it is a good thing, but now we just have to find something new.....
I am soooo ready to be "normal" again. I just want to be able to work, and drive, and i REALLY want to be well for vacation coming up. I am so ready to ride Rip, Ride, Rocket at U.S. in November. I am sorry this is turning out to be a "vent" thread regarding my health.
I did loose 1 pound this week. I have not exercised at all this week, so i am thankful that i did not gain any.

I was sick (yes again), this week. I went to the doctor, and they are running more tests. The new med they put me on is not working...They are going to try yet another.
I did do very well with my weight loss, though.
This week i lost 3.5 lbs.
Total weight loss 58 lbs
I have 40 lbs to go.
Current weight 180 lbs.

Well, i was doing really good this week....until last night. I got in the mood for some fried chicken. I enjoyed it so much! I figured, what the heck.
I still did ok this week.
Total lost this week: 2 lbs
current weight: 178 lbs
total weight loss: 60 lbs
I have set a new goal....Hopefully, unlike all of the others, I will actually reach this goal.....
My new goal is to loose 3 pounds each week, for the next 10 weeks....That will bring me to vacation.....and i would be at 148--and of course i am not going to worry about my weight at vacation....
I hope to pull this one off.

everytime i set a goal, it jinx's me.
I did not loose 1 pound this week...In fact, I gained 1. I didnt walk much this week, b/c i was so busy. Then, we made plans and went out to eat friday, saturday, and sunday. I thought i did ok. That was the only meal that i ate on those days....:confused3 I dont know, maybe i am just "stuck" right now?? and this weekend is not looking any better....We have made plans on friday, and saturday....So, i dont know......I will still get my walking in though, so we will see. I was looking back, and i have been "stuck" at a certain weight before.....
If i loose one pound this week, i will be happy!

It has been another good week....
I lost 2 1/2 lbs. My current weight is 172.5
I hope this weekend goes ok. We are going out with my inlaws this weekend. DFIL is retiring after working 41 years:eek:

I woke up this am to weigh myself, and i probably should have had my caffiene first...;) for some reason, i thought i had only lost 1/2 lb. i was not so happy.....
Then when reading my journal from last week, i realized that i lost 1.5 lbs, this week:cool1:
now the weight really seems to be going off much slower, but i am trying to get into a routine of 1 day dieting, the next day eating like i hope to eat when i finish dieting. I am trying to change my eating habits.
eat 3 meals a day, even if i am not hungry....(this is a big one...i used to skip meals, and then pig out for supper)

THis week was a much better week, but for some reason, i dont feel like i did anything different.....?!
Dh is leaving for talladega tomorrow am. So it is just me, dd, giz, and lucy.....
It will be fun for a day, then i am really going to miss him....:rolleyes1

Hi..Just wondering how you are losing your weight? What kind of diet plan are you following? My biggest challenge is going to be finding something to drink besides Dr. Pepper. Whatever you are doing sure seems to be working great! I would love to be able to lose about 60 pounds befire we go in May. Last time we went I didn't even go to the waterparks with my husband and 2 teen boys...Just couldn't put that bathing suit on...I used to absolutely love the pool and would have been the first one in..I sure miss that but my self esteem has just hit bottom...Thanks !!!

The first thing i did was make sure i walked. i got up to walking 3.5 miles on the weekdays. Once that got to be routine, i tried to find a diet plan.
i tried every diet i could think of...i heard people say try this it worked for me, and it did nothing for me....
my routine was to eat a biscuit for breakfast (i have always done this) but i would skip lunch....then i would overeat at night, b/c i was STARVING!!!!
I had to learn to eat lunch. I have my biscuit everyday for breakfast, then, i have a slim fast shake for lunch. i know alot of people dont like the taste, but i think they are good.....They totally fill me up, and then i eat a light dinner.
I have decided that when i finish loosing the weight, i am still going to drink my shakes for lunch...They have all of the vitamins in them (b/c i am not the healthiest eater :) ) but i will eat a regular meal for dinner...
Goodluck....Dont give up...If something doesnt work for you, just try something else. I understand about your dr peppers...DH has that same problem. He has lost 30 lbs not drinking so much dp. However, everyso often he splurges, and drinks one...He says diet dp doesnt even come close....

Had an ok week. I lost one pound.... Wednesday night my epilepsy reared its ugly head...I feel good today, my muscles are killing me, and my brain is at 1/2 capicity. ;) DH is going to dallas this weekend, so i have to get to feeling better.....I cant be sick in front of dd. and i have to get to feeling better before our big vacation in 2 weeks!!!!

Hey Everyone!!! I am late getting on here today....I have been so busy. DH and i decided to get all christmas stuff out before we go on vacation, so we have been decorating, and trying to get things together for our trip.;) I didnt loose any weight this week, but i didnt gain any either. Since i had another round with my epilepsy, i ate good, and didnt exercise as much, so i broke out even....
We will be leaving thursday, so i dont know if i will be able to post again before our trip, and we will not be back until the 30th, so you wont hear from me for a while...:goodvibes
When i get back i will post before and after pics--and the whole trip i will be saying my prayers that there will be no weight gain....:rolleyes1, but being at dis and walking miles and miles everyday, i dont think i will:confused:

We are back from our trip, and i didnt gain a pound...(and we ate...alot;) )
We came home early b/c we caught strept, and bronchitis. By wednesday, i was ready to come home:sick: but we stayed a few more days so dd could enjoy herself.
I have a christmas party to go to saturday, so i might not do so well this week;:rolleyes1
I just really need to get motovaited again...i am very strict on not gaining any more weight, but i am not really "dieting" to loose any more....Maybe after the holidays i will. But i am still exercising everyday.....I walked up 10 flights of stairs yesterday at work.:eek:I would never have been able to do that without working out and loosing the weight. I felt so good about myself. I am going to try to find my camera shortly and post some before and after pics.

Last week i said i wasnt going to worry about loosing weight during the holidays, b/c i was staying steady at 165. Well, for some reason:confused3I had an excellent week. Me personally, I am glad the holidays are behind us....We didnt stop.
I did really good over the holidays--somehow:confused:I lost 2 pounds.

Hey everyone...I havent been on here in a while...I am still doing good. I am down to 155 lbs. :goodvibes
we have been so busy lately, and i had the flu last week, so i am finally getting back into the swing of things.
A few people have told me that i am getting too skinny,:confused3, so i am really not looking to loose much more weight--I am just going to have to start the process of maintaining it.
I will still walk everyday, and i still drink my slimfast shakes for lunch.
I might not pop in everyweek, but i do still want to visit every so often to make myself accountable for my actions.

well, it has been a little over a year now, since i started my diet, and i am happily maintaining my weight at 155 lbs. :cool1::goodvibes
