View Full Version : Sorry - no show this week

WebmasterJohn
05-20-2009, 02:54 PM
Sorry gang but there will not be a show this week.

The weather here is causing major issues.

Pete's roof is leaking again (can you hear him yelling at the roofers from Florida to where you live?) and now he's without electricity.

We just won't be able to do the shows this week (discussion or email).

We have 900 miles of storms heading our way - I'm beginning to mildew.

We'll keep you posted if anything changes.

John

Hope y'all stay dry - those storms look pretty nasty. For now I'm happy to say I am in the Northeast instead of Florida - it's sunny and 80 here and it looks to continue for a week or so. That will change, as will my feelings about being in the Northeast instead of Florida, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Was out today and there is constant rain.

Some times it slows to just a steady rain and other times it gets really heavy.

It's like biblical rain.....

No problem on the show....we will probably survive. We might get edgy, but we will survive!

I work for a reputable commercial general contractor, we are a little slow due to the recession. Say the words and we'll be there to fix the roof! (well, not me personally, I just do the accounting!) :goodvibes

Better days are heading your way!

I remember the days when I only listened to the podcast and did not read the boards. I kept clicking iTunes and there was no new podcast and I had no idea why.

Now I know why. But I feel :sad2: bad for the rest of the podcast only listeners out there.

Hope the :cool1: sun comes out soon.

Miami checking in. It is bad down here but not like Central Florida. Home Depot delivered the wood this afternoon. Was hoping to hear a new podcast but I guess I will have to listen to the live cruise podcast again while I build my Ark. Have two leaks in the roof and am screaming along with Pete. Can you hear me now?

I Will miss the show but no problem, I will re-listen to some of the previous shows, as I listen at work and get interrupted often and miss things within the shows as it takes two or three listens before I fully hear a full show.

Sorry about the rain and Pete's leaky roof. We have been in Monsoon Season here the entire month of May, with the exception of the last 4 days it has rained everyday this month talk about gloomy weather. Unfortunately for us, the Rain is back in our forecast for this weekend.

No problem with getting the show out today. The rain is horrible down here. We were actually under a tornado warning earlier. I'm thinking I will be able to canoe over to you guys pretty soon.

By the way, I would not even subject my worst enemy to the wrath of Pete. I get the urge to run far away just listening to his rants. I mean, I love him, but I never want to get on his bad side.

I know with rain that sometimes 'enough is enough already'. But we could only dream of that much rain here in south Texas. Just push it over our way and we will deal with it for you. Seriously, you guys take care and I hope that all works out fine. If you get anymore rain, that balloon ride at DTD might start looking like a good idea for awhile. :lmao:

and of all the weeks to get trained on launches, it has to be the week where it rains non stop for days! Fun!

The good news is the water levels are coming back up in Seven Seas Lagoon. Hopefully we can soon reopen the west angle dock and the gold route will have its dedicated dock back again

This rain is just EPIC. So far three days straight and it doesn't look like it's going to be letting up anytime in the next 10 days. I've discovered no less then a dozen leaks in the roof at Mission: SPACE.

Pete: send your roofers over to Epcot once you're finished with them please!

Come on up to Michigan.I'm sitting on my back deck, 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, listening to the robins serenade each other. Supposed to be like this all weekend which is a great relief after the wettest Spring we've had in over 100 years. Still flooding problems around us but in the U.P. of Michigan they are having wildfire problems already. Go figure.

I was told today that a week ago we were 4in under normal rainfall totals. After a week we are 3-4 inches above normal. The good news is the west angle dock is open again, which means the gold route has its own dock so we won't have constant delays anymore for campground and lodge guests.
