Welcome!

Let's just say, I've been out a while. :rolleyes1

And I don't live near DL or WDW and can only go once or maybe twice a year, so I'm jealous of people who can go weekly or even monthly for that matter. ;)

Yeah, I know. It's got roller coasters and whatnot, but it isn't any Disney World. Sorry guys. :]

They should really consider making a Disney freaks dating site. Lol.

Comparing Cedar Point to WDW is like comparing cake to pie. Both are good, but still entirely different. Sometimes you feel like having some pie. All the time you feel like having some cake.

Just coming to terms with accepting myself...which is weird after I've been telling people for years to accept themselves for themselves haha.

I came out in 1998, and get to the parks as often as I can..... which unfortunately isn't too often. :guilty:

Comming out is a big deal. I was severely depressed and suicidal because I couldn't come to terms with myself. When I finally came out, it was like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders :goodvibes

Hi Jessa. I'm late to the party (nothing new there)! LOL. I have shoes that are 20 years old. :rotfl: Coming out is vital to existence. Congratulations on your journey!

Welcome to this site. I'm another "local" who can get to WDW within 20 minutes or so. ::yes::

Have been with my wife for years and years and years and years. :woohoo: Intend to be with her for a lifetime more. ::yes::

Mine? mines my favourite singer dressed as a nurse with typical cyberpunk fashion too....weird because I'm scared of anything medical (needles :S) haha.

Ah Stephen King's "IT"....the only character I've ever liked, hated and feared all in one haha

It can be hard coming out. I didn't have a difficult time with it but then again I'm not totally out still. In a way I feel it's on a need to know basis and few need to know what I do in the sheets. ;) But at the same time it is who I am. I have a feeling after my Gay Days trip I'll be coming out at work. I think people have it easier now then when I was a teen and much easier than decades ago. It is more accepting and sometimes it seems like it's even "in" to be gay or bi. But that doesn't mean there aren't problems and difficulties. At least the internet helps. You can do research and find communities like this to talk to people about any problems you're having.

BarleyJack:
Yeah, I only came out because I'm friends with alot of the regulars on a band forum and we were all in chat and somehow got onto the discussion of sexuality and I said about how that day someone was discussing if I was gay or not in college and I said how I have never told anyone what I really was (some think I'm gay, some bi, some straight, some asexual)...and then somehow I ended up saying my sexuality to them haha (its weird everyone went quiet from the point where I said I was gonna say what I was to the point I said it haha).

I think my mother slightly knows, or assumes (why does everyone assume?!)

Sphyrna:
Yeah the reason I am having problems accepting myself is because everyone in school made out it was wrong...I know its a perfectly normal thing always have but when it comes to me...I don't know its just weird haha. Though I am going to London Pride with quite a few of my friends haha.

Remember: kids are in school to learn not to teach. I'd be willing to bet that your friends had zero life experience, and were going off of things they had heard rather than anything real.

Also, research in serveral universities has linked homosexuality to a combination of genetic markers. That means you were born that way (aka God made you like that).

JarethDrakul
05-23-2009, 02:06 PM
Yeah that is true...most of them did go based on assuming...then most of the ideas they go came from the media funnily enough....

Oh I've always believed people are born that way, one of my favourite artists said this:
...or when people talk about the day they had their glorious coming-out. I mean, I can empathise, of course, at least to a certain degree ... but what I never understood is: how come they didn’t know before??? And how come that their difference wasn’t obvious to the whole world (at least on a subconscious level)??? As for me, I have always known. At the age of five these things were long crystal-clear to me, even though I had no proper terms to name it. I knew that I was attracted to boys...
the next bit she says about how her gender (long story but she believes in the perfect neutrality (third gender...which some cultures do have), its a complicated thing to explain Anna-Varney without reading alot of interviews and listening to the music).

Cedar Point still rocks... I just need to be a little less tubby to fit in some of the rides.

so zulumara told me I should stop in the lgbt boards more often, so here I am. I work in gay bars, i plan gay events, and run a gay company... but don't tell anyone but my BF so I don't have to come out.

oh, last trip was a couple weeks ago for a cruise, next trip is in a couple weeks for slightly more gay than usual days

Welcome to the lgbt boards!

That's one of the things that surprised me about CP last time I was there. I'm a big guy but I don't think I'm THAT big, yet there were a couple rides there that I don't think I would have fit on.

Okay. I'm very shy about this because it's new for me.
I'm bi.

I'm still hiding it from a lot of people because I live in a hick town where it isn't really accepted.
