Hello everyone :wave2:

We are finally back from our mammoth DLRP trip. As you know Kacee had Chicken Pox before we left and we were due to go on Monday 11th May...well on Saturday his CP had scabbed over and Macklyn had no signs of any infection....so we left on Saturday afternoon and stayed two nights in a Premiere Classe Hotel before checking into the Shack on the Monday. Tghis meant that we had 10 days away and 9 days in the parks :banana:

We had a great time over the 9 days although we never made it into EMH once :rolleyes1

Salon Mickey was amazing...we didn't realise that you could visit 5 times per month so that was a massive plus (I thought it was only 3) The setting is lovely and the free cakes are great. The only downside that we thought was we felt a little out of place on two days as Salon Mickey was full of suited Shareholders and then my little family in hoodies and jeans sat in the corner. We were surprised that you were allowed 2 cakes per person and they counted both of the boys, they also litteraly told us to take as much OJ and water into the park as we wanted which I found suprising.

We finally managed to ride Crush's Coaster after a 20 minute wait on Thursday as my parents came over for 3 days and took the boys for a couple of hours which enabled me and the wifey to ride the coasters.

The Shack had also been totally refurbished and was lovely this time compared to October which was another plus.

There were three major downpoints to the trip though...we found the amount of queue jumping had increased massivly over recent trips with one country in particular being rather bad for it (although I won't say who) MMP is (in my opinion) rubbish, there was not one thing that I would say was actually even half as good as the 15th Celebrations and for those who have been what the heck was Dance Time with Stitch all about :confused:.....oh and I got punched by someone when I said 'excuse me' trying to get the buggy past without hitting them :eek: City Hall were brilliant with this though and the CM who helped me out with three or four things (Jonathan) was a great bloke and really helpfull.

I will do a TR once I get a spare 5 minutes :goodvibes

Talking about the punch, I am not all that surprised. One time, I tried to excuse myself to get through the people waiting for the parade simply to get to other side of road and deliver popcorn to my kids waiting on opposite pavement. I clearly explained to a lady that i was not pushing through, just getting back to my children, but she punched me and knocked the popcorn everywhere!!! I am 5ft even and about 7 stone, she was about 6ft and at least twice my size:eek: Luckily CM nearby saw the whole thing and asked her to leave;)

Anger and violence can rear its ugly head even in such a happy place....shame really:sad2:

Sorry to hear about the queue jumping and the punching :scared1: doesn't bode well for our trip on Sunday, it's taken a lot of effort on my part to get DH back to DLRP due to the rudeness and queus jumping we experienced back in '05.

I agree it was a shame about the queue jumping, with particular people seeming to be the worst offenders but then again everyone holds different values so it's just something you have to annoyingly let go.

Shame you got punched, that is ridiculous. Especially when your pushing a pram around.

Basically I was trying to get round this family who were stood outside Frontierland waiting for the parade, I said excuse me and this (loosley described as) man swore at me in English, so I asked again and he swore again..the family next to them moved for me and as I walked past him he turned round and aimed a punch at my head, I managed to move slighlty so it hit my shoulder instead. Luckily (not sure who for as at this stage the red mist had totally descended) the family who moved restrained this 'man' and we walked off. It didn't really spoil the trip but kinda put a downer on the rest of the day as Ellie was concerned that he might come and find us later on but we hopped over to the Studio's instead. City Hall handled it very well and the CM informed me the next day that he had been removed from the Park and had his AP withdrawn following a further scuffle with another family right infront of security.

Glenn it was cool meeting up with you, sorry I didn't recognise you at first..I recognised your fiance first :) Glad you had a good trip too and I loved you TR

Welcome home!I remeber reading about the chicken pox predicament before you left, so glad it all worked about for you and both our lil' guys were up to the trip!
so sorry to hear about that lunatic punching you!thats really insane!I'm glad the CMs delt with it properly though, that guy should be banned for life!!!

From the description I gave they knew it was the very same bloke. He was wearning some rather distinguishable clothes (:rolleyes1) and I have a very good memory with faces (for some bizzare reason)

I'd love to go in October but with the Mrs only on Statutory Maternity Pay money is getting a bit tight now so I'm not sure if we will be able to go again this year. Mind you I have already had three trips this year :eek:

I got stopped by one of those poll people who looked shocked when I said that I had been already in January and March this year and that this trip was my 21st trip and my 5th in 7 months :rotfl:

Wow, that's completely unacceptable behaviour. I can't believe he reacted in that way. What a shame it is that there are always people nasty and bitter enough to want to ruin everyone else's enjoyment. :laughing: at him getting chucked out though- maybe he'll think twice next time.

Welcome back :thumbsup2 Sounds like a good trip apart from the idiot who punched you and the queue jumping - I just know if we went back and experienced any of that to a large degree my DH (and my Mum) would never want to back again :(

It just spoils it for everyone doesn't it. I'm glad they removed his AP but what's to stop him buying a day pass? They should ban people for good - I can just imagine them having passport photos of 'offenders' on a poster in the ticket booths :rotfl2:!

So pleased Macklyn was fine all the way through - was so worried he wouldn't be and he's not even mine :lmao: Let's hope he manages to steer clear of it this time around, until he can at least take things like Piriton if needed. Hope Kacee is OK and the scabs are falling off - it took ages with my girls.

i cant believe you got punched, although when we were there a group of girls tried to start a fight with my sis and her friend *** a guy with them asked them their names??? my sis and her friend ran ROFL. she said if she got kicked out of disneyland for fighting i would have killed her so it wasnt worth it lol.
