I'm hoping somebody can help me out. I have a student who is having a Make a Wish trip in October. Since I'm the over planner that I am, I offered to help. Her mom gave me a little information, but I was wondering if somebody who has experienced it could give me some guidelines to see what areas I can help in. They will be there in October, FYI. Any information would be greatly appreciated and a huge THANK YOU in advance.:teacher:

Post 3 has a lot of Make a Wish links to threads about trip reports and discussions about Make A Wish.

We on this board can help them plan the trip like how to get around the limitations of the child, airport rights, and other stuff.

Sue and the others will be around later with a ton of information.

hugs and welcome aboard

In the link that mechurchlady posted, the one place you want to visit is the WISH TRIPPER's UNITE thread. That is a place where a lot of people who are going on or just coming back from Wish trips hang out. They share a lot of information on that thread.
The other links in the disABILITIES FAQs thread about Wish trips include some links to past trip reports and places like Give Kids the World Village where many families on Wish trips stay.

If you would like information about accessibility of different attractions at WDW or what things the child might like, ask on this board and you will get lots of help.

We were just granted a wish (not to Disney). We were surprised to find out that we wouldn't get our itinerary or any information on the trip until a week before. That may limit what planning they can do.

We just got back from our make a wish trip last week! I agree the wishtrippers unite thread is very helpful!
I read tons of make a wish trip reports before we went...very helpful!
Also the give kids the world page has lots of helpful info (www.gktw.org) (under families)
Let me know if you have any questions! I will try to help!
