Just made my ADRs for upcoming trip. First time with free dining. Got a dinner reservation at 1900 Park Fare but I am wondering if we should change to The Plaza. Any opinions either way. We have never been to either one. Thanks.

I've never been to the Plaza, but we loved 1900 park Fare. The character interaction was great...the little girls loved Cinderella and Prince Charming, and the Stepsisters were funny. The food was great...great choices for kids, and some "grown-up" choices as well.

We have done 1900 Park Fare dinner & are planning to do The Plaza this Sept. I have heard good things about The Plaza, but the menu is rather limited to soup, sandwiches, & salads. The desserts, especially the milkshakes & sundaes, are supposed to be very good. 1900 Park Fare is a buffet, so you get some good dinner choices, but we thought the food was just ok. The highlight of 1900 is the stepsisters - they are hilarious! If you're just interested in a good sandwich and/or dessert choose The Plaza. If you want a decent dinner buffet and good character interaction choose 1900.

1900 Park Fare. :yay:

For me, this is a no-brainer. The Plaza is fine but as a PP stated, it's a limited menu. I had my rehearsal dinner at 1900PF and everyone left happy, which is not an easy thing to do with my group!

The characters at 1900PF are terrific, even if you just want to wave as they go by. The amount of interaction can be totally up to you if character meals aren't really your thing.

Also, since 1900PF is in the Floridian on the monorail, it shouldn't take too much time away from the MK if that's where you'll be for the day.

Is 1900 and the Grand Floridian the same??

As far as I know, 1900 Park Fare is one of the restaurants in the Grand Floridian resort.

We'll be doing Plaza for lunch and 1900 PF for supper on our MK day when we go in Aug.

Both sound good to me but as other posters have said; one is a sandwich and salad place in MK and the other is a character buffet at the GF. They are not even comparble IMO. One may not be better than the other but they are definitely very different. You should be able to make up your own mind based on what type of meal/experience you and your family are wanting for that meal.

I vote for 1900 Park Fair. IMO The Plaza is a great lunch location but not that great for dinner.

I agree with 1900 park fare. I love both, but they are two different animals. If I wanted a better value from my DDP then I would do 1900 Park fare (make sure to try the strawberry soup :))!

The Plaza has good sandwiches and hanburgers, but there isn't much choice.
